The Spark in his eye faded away.

Blizzard spoke out again, "Look Shadow, I'm all for making new friends and stuff, but when you insult my friends like that, *gets in his face again* that's where the line gets drawn dammit. From this point on, you are gonna need a LOT of forgiveness to gain our trust. And those guys *points to Cal and Tyra* don't show that much mercy. So I'd watch that step of yours buddy *taps him with hoof* or you'll be getting the cold shoulder got it?   "

"Hollow words from a racist coward," Tyra snarled, snorting steam from her nostrils, "he would be wise to watch his step from now on, alicorn or not."

 

She had a funny feeling about Shadow for a while, and this little situation was not helping relations at all, for anypony.

The Spark in shadows eye was lit once again.

he spoke in a dark more threatening voice.

I told you NOT to get up in my face again!

now you will pay the price!

Shadow knocked IB over and was about to impale him with his horn. his voice was getting more angry and demonic.

this is your LAST warning! get up in my face again and my horn is going trough your spine!

He backed up and shaked his wings.

after that he walked away to see his family. alone.

caliber was furious. "if you weren't in our team, shadow, id have already killed you." he said, something other than the fighting spirit in his eyes. something more sinister. "and I don't care if your an alicorn, if you threaten my friend like that one more time, I wont just kill you, ill erase your very existence!"

 

his eyes betrayed his obvious bloodlust.

Tyra kept her icy glare on Shadow until he was out of sight. Once he was gone, she helped Blizzard onto his hooves.

 

"Are you well, friend?" She asked him softly, perking him back up, "If he makes wrong more wrong move, we will show him the true power of earth ponies, will we not?!"

Blizzard stood with a smug expression on his face, "Damn right Tyra! We'll show that fool who's boss! You know, I always thought there was something off about that guy. But I can tell you guys one thing, he's no friend of ours. That guy has some issues with, racism, personal biz, and putting himself above others. Man, all in favor of forgetting that fool say eye. Eye."

Icarus scoffed at what just happned and looked to them. " Are you OK Blizzard ? " he looked around and looked to IB and Tyra, " Well, looks like we may be stuck with this bastard for a bit sadly, but keep your eyes on him..... I really dont feel good about him" Icarus said, looking at the were he had been standing. This new pony seemed rude and careless, not to mention  he had tried to hurt one of his allies...

caliber needed to cool off, not to mention think about what exactly happened here. no matter how hard he fought, it felt like it was half-hearted. just what did that mare take?

 

oh, wait.

 

caliber looked down to see the wound in his chest. he'd better see a doctor. "Hey, icarus..." he walked up to him, and pointed at his chest. "does this need any treatment, or...?"

"Aye," Tyra nodded in agreement, glaring in the direction Shadow had walked off to, "he will not walk away next time."

 

She sighed, and looked back toward the castle. "I am in dire need of a drink, watching all this combat has given me quite the thirst!"

She trotted back to the dining hall and got herself a mug of cider, proceeding to guzzle the lot.

Blizzard decided to join Tyra and have fun, "Hey axe girl! Thanks for sticking up for me back there, you're a good friend to have *hugs her and lets go* *sighs and puts book on table* I wish my grandfather was here to see this, he was a great stallion in the Equestrian War and he was one of Celestia's generals!" Blizzard caught himself for a moment, "Wait, maybe I should stop, I don't wanna bore you with meaningless stories.   "

Tyra looked over to Blizzard and nodded to him. He seemed to be feeling better, as usual.

 

"It was no trouble, friend," she answered, and grinned as she reassured, "it would not bore me at all! Your grandfather sounded like a great warrior, as mine was!"

 

As happy as she was to share her own family's history, she was always happy to hear about others'.

Blizzard turned to Tyra and explained his grandfather to her, "Well, my grandpa, Iceberg Chill, was one of Celestia's finest war generals. And whenever he had time to come home to me and my mom, he would always show me how to fight with these *raises his hooves* and I never understood why he'd be so hard on me. And this was before I had gotten my ice powers when I was about 6 he was teaching me his skills. Anyway, when I turned 8, he sent this book *shows Tyra the book* talking about his war stories, and I keep it really close to me and I read it almost everyday. But then one day after he sent me this book, he went missing in action and had saved his team from certain doom. However, even after an entire search team swept the area afterwards, they still couldn't find him.

 

Iceberg Chill was where I got my sense of determination and combat skills, and I'm not even half as good as he was, and if I know him, he's still alive out there....somewhere. *sheds frozen tear* *sniffs*" Blizzard voice began to break, "And he taught me 'Stay focused, stay alive' too." Blizzard put his head on the table and started to cry, "I know you're out there grandpa! Keep fighting!"

Tyra nodded and listened intently to Blizzard, putting a hoof on his shoulder when he had finished.

 

"I understand, my friend," she said softly, taking a swig of cider before continuing, "your grandfather sounds like a fine fighter, like my own. If he is as tough as you say, he will be fine."

 

She smiled. "I think he would be proud of how fine a fighter you have become."

Blizzard's crying had softened and his eyes we're all teary, "*sniff*   You really think so? I'm not so sure. The very last thing he told me when he last visited was, "Stay focused, stay alive." and that's how he and his team made it through all their missions. But I don't know if he'd be proud of me. What have I done that deserves recognition?   "

 

Blizzard then said, "Here Tyra, take a look inside, but be careful, it's pretty old and it has over 1000 pages in it."

Shadow approached IB in a calm way.

"Hey! No need to be sad! Trust me! I've heard much worse. And if I'm not mistaken then your grandfather is alive. And he's most definitely proud of you mate! You are one perfect successor to iceberg chill! I have faith in you!"

"I've heard stories of him in class when I was young. But I would never know YOU are his grandchild!"

Shadow put his hoof on IB's shoulder trying to make him feel better.

"I am sorry for my behavior." "If there's anything I can do for your forgiveness, just say."

He started walking away.

As Tyra carefully took the book and began looking through it, she smiled.

"You have helped defend this land from an army of invaders, of course! You have done just as much as the rest of us, and you should be proud of what you have done!"

 

She carefully flicked through the pages. "Certainly a fine warrior, was your grandfather."

 

She glanced warningly up at Shadow as he approached; a quick apology wouldn't make good with her for what he did, but it was a start, she supposed.

Blizzard didn't listen to Shadow, all he said was, "Leave me alone.   No offense Shadow, but I'd really prefer it if you didn't talk to me right now. And trust me, I know my grandpa better than anypony. If you had really studied him, you wouldn't have snapped at us like that, because you'd know that Iceberg Chill upholds moral values. Values apparently you haven't been taught. Now leave us alone...I'm-I'm....just go away!!!" Blizzard was not happy at all. He was saddened over his grandfather's whereabouts and pissed at Shadow for his behavior. Blizzard began to cry a little more as he put his head on the table again.

 

"So whaddya think axe girl? *sniff*"

As shadow exited the door he heard rapid hoof steps coming towards him. He could be heard by the others.

"Can I be of any assistance sir?"

The pony who approached him brought up a small knife.

"Wait wh what are you... AAAH GET OFF ME! *Choking sound*"

The sounds of stabbing could be heard.

After a few second Shadow was lying on the ground outside the building unconscious with a few major stab wounds to the chest.

The pony rushed away as fast as he could.

 

 

 

 

 

 

(OOC: I made this post because shadow needs to learn respecting his fellow ponies. It's basically bad karma)

"As I said, your grandfather was a fine warrior," Tyra repeated, smiling to Blizzard to try and cheer him up, "and he would be truly proud of you for what you have been doing for the ponies here. Obviously, he has taught you well!"

 

She perked up as a commotion started in the distance, the sounds of screams and stabs from outside.

"What was that?!" She yelped.

Blizzard had perked up, "Thanks axe girl. I feel a lot better knowing I got a friend like you." He had also heard some noises, "What the hell? I think we should go outside and see what happened." Blizzard and Tyra went outside to see Shadow on the ground and bleeding, "Oh shi-- the poor guy's bleeding out! We gotta get him to the medical ponies! Tyra, you're strong, lift him onto your back and let's take him to the medical facility!   "

Tyra dashed outside with Blizzard, and indeed, Shadow was strewn out on the ground and bleeding from the chest.

 

Upon hearing his instructions, she automatically felt anger.

"After what he has done to us?!" She growled. But then, she remembered her clan's creed, and nodded. "Aye, you are right."

 

She perked the alicorn onto her back and carefully carried him toward the medical wing, with some help from the guards.

Blizzard shouted, "Weeeooo weeooo, get outta they way! We got an injured pony over here!"

 

A medical pony asked Blizzard, "What happened?"

 

"We don't know, we found him outside like this. We think he was stabbed!"

 

"Ok set him down on that bed, we'll take care of him, just stay calm."

 

"Ok..*deep breath* Tyra set him down on that bed right there, they'll take it from here."

caliber looked a the scene that had taken place. he really didnt know how to react. so he settled for going with tyra and ice. "reckon he'll live?" caliber asked, looking at the stab wounds. "probably not...see, they've struck his liver. it'll be hard for him to eat and get his strength back...not to mention the damage done to his kidney...yeah...im no stranger to stab wounds..."

After Tyra had put Shadow on the bed, the medical ponies began to do what they could, "Come back later, and we'll let you know how he's doing." One of the nurses said.

 

"Well I don't wanna say he deserved that, nopony desereves to be bum rushed and stabbed like that. I'm honestly hoping he'll be ok. Whaddya you think Caliber? Did he deserve that?"
