Tyra kept up her grin as she continued.

"Needing help is nothing to be ashamed of, sometimes even I may need it!" She blinked and raised an eyebrow. "Sometimes."

 

Her grin returned as she looked to Caliber. "We got all the refugees here safe and sound!"

 

Remembering the taxing job, she took another few hearty gulps of cider. "Aaahh, today has been a grand day!"

Tybalt looked around "We waited for too long now,when you find Blizzard you fill him in." Tybalt than pulled notepad from his bag "Ok..like all of you know there have been strange happening all ower north region.Order of..." He than looked at Icarus "...you-know-what thinks they have maybe been alianse between order enemies.And we think that alianse could be betwene Diamond Dogs and Flame Legion." He than pulled paper with some sketches and word about flame legion and given em aroun the group...

 

The Flame Legion (pejoratively referred to as the Gold Legion by their enemies), is one of the four High legions.The Flame Legion is defined by zealotry and superstition.

There main way of fighting is flame magic.

....Tybalt contineu "Order think about this because Flame Legion not so long ago was seen going north.We thinked that they are retreating but now we see there tru intentions.Also they have been seen using mining wepons so this is whay we think Daimond Dogs are in this too.Order call this alianse Molten alianse,and thinks that they will be ready to start atacking biger citys.So this is where you come in." He pulled map of Holesberg "everyone will be given one part of city to bost there defensive." He than pointed at north east part "This will be Blizzard's part because that is coldest part of city" than pointed at north "This will be Tyras and Radiants part because Radiant was in princess guard and he seen how to boost dore defense,and Tyra is good in close combat so if annything start coming tru dore she can easly kill it." than pointed at north west "This is Caliber part because this is what onli left." He than smailed and looked at Caliber "Just kiding,you are good with wepons and north west is place wher town keep ther wepons.And i almost forgot  Icarus you can pick where you whant to go with Blizzard or Caliber choose wisely."
Tybalt than started going "Order thinkes that atack can some anny time so be swift and precise.Im going to get us reinforcement I beleve that  I will come back in maximum 24 hour.",he than opened dore "I hope you are ready for this,Ice elemental where children play for what is about to happen..." He than closed dore and disappeared.

caliber gulped the rest of his cider, and stood up. "pah! the're no match for my swordplay," he said, "this shall be a breeze!" he walked up to blizzards room, and kicked it open. "oy! blizzy!" he proceeded to explain what he would be doing. and then he walked back downstairs, and started polishing/sharpening his sword.

 

(so, we're preparing for an attack from the flame legion/diamond dogs? )

Radiant watched as Tybalt left the tavern and returned to his food. Radiant quickly finished his food and put down the rest of his cider. As Caliber was upstairs retrieving Blizzard Radiant looked over at Tyra "Now one thing Tybalt didn't mention is we should gather up the civilians of Holesberg in one location. It will be easier to guard the city if we dont have to worry about collateral damage." He said as he stood up getting ready to depart.

Blizzard was ready, "Let's go let's go!" Blizzard went downstairs, "Hey everypony, I got the message, I'm ready to get on the move, I'm going to my sector of the town, but I need to go to the book shop for uh, something, come get me when you guys are ready." Blizzard then goes to the book shop looking through factbooks, "Uh-huh interesting..." Then he spots something, "Is that what I think it is?!" It was a magazine with Rarity his crush on the cover. It must be mine!" Blizzard buys it and looks through it, distracted for a bit and unaware if somepony were to come behind him and surprise him. "O///O *blood drops from nose*"

Tyra blinked at Tybalt's explanation, not really understanding. How was she supposed to increase the defences of part of a city? She could try to train the locals, but would that take too long?

 

As he left, Radiant spoke up and explained more to her, and suddenly the cogs in her head began to turn.

"So, if we bring the townsfolk together," she muttered as she followed the stallion, "we can attack the invaders ourselves?"

 

She smirked. "Now that makes much more sense!"

Icarus watched as the group was given information. Icarus watched with intrigue and listened to every word given. Looking over at the others, they all seemed to be preparing themselves for a upcoming fight. He had been given a choice. His medical skills would be needed anywhere in the city, and Some areas looked like they had access to different sectors.

 

"I will accompany Caliber, if anyone needs medical help, I will be on call there" Icarus announced to the group.

caliber looked around. 'im pretty sure i could hold off around 50 ponies, but what if there's more?' he thought,  'im gonna  have to set traps to thin their numbers. oh, i know!' he had an idea, 'Ice Blizzard knows a lot about traps! i'll ask him!' he walked over to the book shop, and saw him with a nosebleed in a book about...no way. well, whatever, thats his business. caliber tapped his shoulder, and looked at him like this:  "hey, IB, could ya show some some traps i could make with swords and strings and so forth?"

 

(he's acting like he dosnt care about the fact that IB's reading a you-know-what)

Blizzard jumped, "Aah! Heeyah! Oh man you gotta stop doing that!" Blizzard puts his magazine away in his ice inventory, it's an invisible inventory like resident evil. And he heard something about traps, "Hmmm, That actually depends on what you are using. I can defend a perimeter with Ice charges so that nothing can penetrate my area. But uh, what do you plan on using? Bear traps? Rope traps? Electric traps? Or Explosive traps? If you tell me which, I can give you a strategy based on what you plan on using." He said as he used tissue to wipe the blood from his nose.

Radiant made his way out of the tavern and begun walking down the street where he could see Blizzard and Caliber talking. He continued walking past them "You two help with relocating the residents, move them to the south side of town. We need the north clear so we don't have to worry about innocents being caught in the crossfire when the legion comes from the north!" He commanded continuing to walk to to northern part of town. 

 

He stopped at the home that was furthest north and knocked on the door. He could hear someone scrambling around inside as if they were tripping over obstacles. The door slowly creaked opened with a pony revealing his face through the slight opening, "can I help you?" the pony asked.

 

"I'm going to need you to retreat to the southern end of town, we believe this town is next to be invaded from the north." Radiant said bluntly. The pony looked nervous as he retreating out of view. A lot of noise could be heard again and the pony was soon back at the door with a bag on his back and begun walking through town to the south. Radiant continued relocating the citizens.

caliber heard what radiant said, and he simply went outside, and conjured up a huge megaphone, and said "YO! EVERYONE! GATHER IN THE TOWN SQUARE!" he put his megaphone away, and saw people coming out of their homes, looking confused. caliber gathered up his part of the city's residents, and explained the situation, and why they need to get to safety. when they were going to the safe zone, caliber climbed onto the highest building he could find, and waited for the enemy to arrive. he couldnt figure out the whole trap thing, he made one pathetic attempt, and gave up. but if needed, he would use his fail-safe. he only hoped he could take them all...

Tyra nodded and walked along with Radiant to the northern part of the city.

"Hopefully they will listen to us," she muttered up to him.

 

As Radiant approached one house, she approached the one next to it and knocked the door. Within minutes, the door opened slowly and the eye of a pony appeared through the crack.

"Y-yes...?" A mare's voice squeaked, blinking down at her.

 

"Miss, you must move to the town square," Tyra responded, her voice stern and assertive, "we fear the city may be attacked from the north, you must go now!"

 

The mare did not seem to want to argue. Her silhouette nodded and the door slammed, leaving Tyra blinking in confusion. She waited a few minutes, and the door reopened to reveal the mare, clad in ragged clothing with a hood over her head, saddlebags bulging with her belongings.

"Thank you," she smiled weakly, making her way to the square. Tyra continued with relocating the other citizens with Radiant.

Blizzard quickly wrote down all his trap ideas in a notepad, containing all the traps he mentioned before, "Here Caliber, take this. *gives him the notepad* These are all my trap ideas, maybe you and Icarus can put something together. Anyway, I better get going to the Northeast part of town. Anything else before I go?"

After all the ponies were relocated from the northern half of the town to the south Radiant took his place at the northern gate. He pulled his scarf out of his bag and wrapped it around his neck "I'm not going to let this town fall, I stake my honor as a captain of the royal guard." He said outloud not caring if someone were near to hear him or not.

 

As Radiant stood there he heard hoof steps crunching in the snow, he turned around quickly and saw the young colt he had saved standing there with a canteen. "What are you doing up here young one you need to return to your family, it will be far too dangerous on this side of town." Radiant insisted. 

 

The young colt stepped closer looking timidly at Radiant and held out the canteen to him "I just wanted to make sure you got some of my family's hoof made cider, we wanted to repay you some how." He said as Radiant took the canteen from him "My parents make it special, it gives you energy so you can keep on your job. I figured somepony as strong as you could really use it." 

 

Radiant hung the canteen strap around his neck and nodded at the young colt "thank you, I'll make sure to put it to good use. Now you should be off, return to your family." Radiant said turning back to the north.

 

The young colt began to walk away turning toward Radiant one last time "Someday I want to be as strong and brave as you sir." He said continuing back to the south.

Tyra directed the final house in the northern part, another family no less, and trotted up to the gate to take her place with Radiant.

As she approached, she noticed a young colt speaking to the stallion, and she wondered what was so important that he had to stay around here.

 

She watched the canteen swap hooves, and she understood right away; she recognised him from the group Radiant had tried to get back to the city, and he wanted to give a little help back.

 

The colt seemed to halt as she approached the gate, and he looked at her. "Thank you, for helping get us here. With you two guarding the gate, there'll be no way anything will get in."

"We aim to promise that," Tyra smirked at him, placing a hoof on her chest, "With a Shatterhoof on your side, the battle is already won!"

"Shatterhoof?" He repeated, then he blinked with realisation. "The legendary clan? Wow, I wish I had something to give you too..."

"Your kind words are more than enough," she nodded, her smirk turning into a genuine smile, "now, return to your family, they will be expecting you back."

The colt nodded and took off for the square.

 

Feeling rather fuzzy inside, the pint-size powerhouse took her place at the gate with Radiant, watching into the distance.

"It seems we have a supporter," she grinned up at him.

Radiant saw Tyra walk up beside him as she made a comment smiling at him. "So it would seem, he said he wanted to be like me someday. I kind of hope he doesn't." He said still looking forward floating the canteen up to his lips and took a swig from it. 

 

The cider seemed to warm his insides from top to bottom, he felt surprised. "The young colt wasn't kidding, this stuff is good. Even better I don't even taste any alcohol in it." Radiant said floating the canteen over to Tyra "Would you like some, definitely has made me feel ready for action."

Blizzard got moving, "Ok. I'm headed to the Northeast side of town to protect it." On his way he saw Radiant, "Hey Radiant, I'm going to the Northeast side. If you need any help over here just call, and I'll send a few clones your way ok? Now I gotta get moving, and Tyra, you too, you need help and I'll send clones. Got it? Good. See ya!" He skates off to the Northeast side of town.

caliber was waiting for the army to come. he had boosted his hearing, trying to listen for them, when he heard something. he turned, and saw icarus. "hey, buddy." he said, "you should find a safe place, im'ma need you after the battle, and i cant have ya injured. ok?" his mind was racing. 'will i be strong enough? i mean, it is a small army...no. im good. im equal to whatever they can throw at me. for my friends...' he drew his sword. "there coming..." he said, "icarus, be ready for a beat-up pony." he jumped down, and started walking calmly towards the army in the distance.

Tyra kept her gaze fixed on the distance as she listened to Radiant, though she had to wonder why he wouldn't want somepony to be like him; a strong, dutiful soldier with a strong sense of justice.

 

She would have to ask after this is over; perhaps it might brighten his spirits.

 

She blinked as the canteen appeared before her, with Radiant asking if she'd like some. True to nature, she jumped at the chance and grabbed the canteen from his magic, taking a big swig of the stuff.

She felt a warmth race throughout her body, and she felt even more alert and ready to fight than ever!

 

"Aah, my thanks," she smirked, giving the canteen back, "that colt knows how to find good cider, I feel even better now!"

Radiant took back his canteen realizing she took more then he expected. He smirked with a slight scoff 'She's a pony from the north, I should of known better then to expect her to take just a sip' He thought to himself.

 

He slid the canteen in his bag "He said his family makes it from hoof, they definitely know how to make a good cider." He said looking back at Tyra "anyways I was thinking that you hide along the side of the buildings before the army arrives. I draw their attention at first and you charge in to catch them off guard."

Blizzard had made it to his sector, "Wow! I'm all alone. Interesting how I'm the only one who's got a solo protection job. They must know I can handle myself pretty darn good or else Raid would've wanted to come with me. Oh well I might as well set up some Ice charges around my perimeter, and wait." He then sets up Ice mines around his perimeter and sits under a tree. *looks left, looks right* "Until then, I might as well get back to that Rarity magazine I bought."   *noseblood*

" I will be fine my friend, I have seen worse days. I will set up behind all the fighting, and be ready to treat any wounded soldiers that may arrive. I you need, I can attempt to provie ranged support with a crossbow" Icarus said to Caliber. He sat aback and looked around, scanning the surrounding area. He should have been warm inside his cloak and mask, but he still found himself chilled to the bone.  This would be a tough situation if Caliber could not hold the line...

Tyra licked her lips of any cider residue, grinning with approval. "Well you are not wrong there, that was incredibly refreshing! Perhaps they will supply us with some more when we are done?" She proposed hopefully.

 

She listened to Radiant's plan, and looked toward the building sides he'd mentioned.

"Ahh, a sneak attack," she muttered, and looked back up to the stallion with a nod, "normally I would be against such unfair tactics, but these beasts do not deserve fairness!"

Radiant looked at Tyra "I knew being the one to sneak attack wouldn't be your style but best you then me since I can take their attacks for a while. Now just comes the worst part, the waiting." Radiant said as he walked along the path a little ways.

 

Radiant took out his sword hilts placing them on top of the snow on the side of the path. He placed two on the east side and two on the west side of the path in the layout of a box. He walked back to where he was standing which was at the bottom on the box his sword hilts made, he glanced over at Tyra "That should help create some extra confusion, once their attention returns to me that's when you charge in." He said standing still returning his eyes forward as his red scarf fluttered in the breeze.

Radiant remained at attention waiting for the assault prepared to not let any pony past him. He took out his canteen one more time and drank the remaining amount of cider. He then took off his saddlebag and set it along with the canteen at the door of a house to his side using his magic.

"Indeed," Tyra nodded, already feeling an itch of impatience as she watched into the distance, "anticipation is often the hardest opponent to battle."

 

She watched as Radiant placed his magical blades on the sides of the road, and nodded at his explanation.

"I understand," she smirked, hopping in place on her hooves to limber up a bit, "no beast shall touch a single stone in this city under our watch!"
