movies/tv Do we need a "puzzle" cartoon?

There's a 26 episode anime series called Spiral. It's a mystery series about these blade children who are after a smart teenager named Ayumu. Along with his sidekick Hiyona, they defeat the blade children not through outlandish, overly long fight scenes, but through a series of puzzles and games.

I was thinking, what if there was a western cartoon like that? Something that doesn't involve giant lasers, of swords. Characters don't defeat bad guys by punching them, rather they defeat the villains through various Proffessor Layton-esque logic puzzles. Battle of wits over battle of fists. Do you think kids will like something like that?

Does Dora count because they solve puzzles to get to an area with the use of shapes, numbers, and what not.

No, I don't mean very basic levels of puzzle solving in a preschool cartoon. I'm talking about a regular kids cartoon. Something edgier, and more complex, aimed at the 6-14 audience. A show with puzzle and game challenges more elaborate and complex than in your average Dora episode.

I think Gravity Falls fits the bill for a "puzzle" cartoon.  Just watching one episode will make you think that it is just an ordinary cartoon.  After watching a few more you will start to catch on to the large amount of clues and realize how complex a cartoon can be.

Those clues to Gravity Falls are more hints to an overarching plot. I'm talking about a mystery series similar, but a bit more down to earth, and replace the fight scenes and monsters with a Professor Layton-style puzzle of the week format. Check out an episode of Spiral for a good example of what I mean.
