Summer 2015

I like summer but where I live (which is a desert) It's not very enjoyable or can you live without and air conditioner. It goes up to around 95-100 degrees for the whole summer. I do enjoy swimming again though.

Storms!!! 

 

Weather excites me.  A lot...  If it weren't for the obvious dangers, I'd probably be a storm chaser.  I'm a bit of an adrenaline seeker.  Of course severe weather is more exciting that mild to moderate weather, but it's still fascinating.  I remember one time in high school at a baseball game, it was about 75 degrees (Fahrenheit), sunny, calm... it was a great day for sports.  Well, of course, Illinois (like any mid-western state) and its weather seem to be bipolar.  In less than 20 minutes it had dropped from 75 to 45, the wind picked up fast, and the sky was darkening something scary.  I just stared at the sky.  I didn't really care about the baseball game.  The only thing I was good at was batting, and that's why coach had me as "designated hitter" for someone.  

 

Ice cream is good... buuut, (this is gonna sound silly), I like ice cream when it's cool out.  My favorite is: Hannam's Lemon [ice cream cone].  But, Hannam's is a local place.  I love Dairy Queen, too, my favorite blizzard is the Georgia Mud Fudge.

 

(Oh no, I've made myself really hungry... Damn you Dairy Queen...)

 

As far as the rest of the options go, to be honest, I'd just prefer to relax in the summer.  Vacations are fun, sure... but I don't need them.  I'd rather save money to put into my gas tank in my truck.

You and me both. I love the season of severe weather. I'm in a 8 floor apartment complex, so I do get a chance to watch these storms form in the distance and not to mention that they look amazing up close. The 8th floor is where it is a though. You can see the whole sky from up there. You can see severe storms hitting the next town over from us once they passed us. It's just so cool. Super Cells are rather common phenomenon too where I live. Well the storms themselves more than the Tornadoes. We have had a few close calls in the past, however. It's mostly because we are on the east edge of Tornado Alley, which is why we get to see this activity fairly often.

 

I also second Dairy Queen myself. Sadly we only have a DQ stand here, but at least it still runs. Funny enough, it reminds me of a smaller version of Bobby's, which is a amazing Ice place that allows you customize your ice cream any way you want that is on the menu. Heh... I'm kinda ranting now but yeah. I do hope you have a nice summer still Miles~ <3

I like the change of each season, but usually by the end I'm done with whatever season it was. xP

 

It'll be nice to have summer.

Summer is the worst for me now XD hayfever. 

I don't even know what i'm doing this summer, I finish high school. Probably spend most of the time either inside playing video games and watching tv, or outside with my hayfever meds and beer.

I'm looking forward to mine iff it's a productive summer and I can work as an intern, or at least make money for personal expenses.

Hehehehehe, But seriously. Bee are not really that bad if you leave them alone, but I'll agree that Wasps are rat bastards.

 

Summer hotter than Braeburn? Not touching that one... heh~ 

 

Yeah... the one sucky thing with summer being over. Going right back to school. But I don't have to go to school! lol

I am super excited for summer! 

 

Not only is there Summer Break, but it is a time for VACATIONING! Woohoo!  I love travelling, hiking, and camping, and summer is the time to do it. I don't have storms here in the summer, that is a winter thing where I live (wet winters, dry summers w/o storms). 

 

I will be going on:

• Two-week resort trip in the Northern CAN Rockies (for hiking, touring, etc)
• 5 wilderness backpacking trips in the mountains
• 10+ day hikes
• 1 Camping trip.
• 3 Mountain biking rides.

Plus, there is tons of pony to watch during the summer, as S5 will air throughout most of the summer.
