Too bad none of that pays the bills.  I'd much rather there be an end prize for the final champion; i'm not a gambling person.

You can gain that AND money. Of course, it's not real money but if there's an IC reason for one pony to bet on one or the other's victory, why block that?

 

Not a gambling man, myself, but I wouldn't presume to stop somepony from doing so.

Corona how would that work out if Arena isn't canon to most of our characters? Like for example Peyton said Eclipse should be dead, and some characters are from Fallout or other AUs.

It doesn't have to be monetary; the prize could vary based on the characters. It just helps to have motivations so we're not out risking our lives for nothing.

Well, yes, the prize is only canon to "this" universe. But that doesn't mean we still can't fight for it, or pretend that it's important.

I mean betting on fights you're not participating in. Obviously everyone would bet on themselves given the option if they chose to bet at all.

Why is betting money IC bad? If that character is motivated by monetary gain, it would make sense for them to bet.

i would rather think that the character is motivated on sole intstict and pain it wold would be far better match to see.

Well not every fight in the RP is a life or death scenario, some are structured like boxing matches, with the understanding that both are going to follow certain rules and both will walk out alive.

 

The RP didn't specify a uniform scenario beyond OOC issuing a challenge, so anything can go.

I'm sorry Corona, that's not exciting to me. I'd just like to enjoy the experience.

i meant "Survival of the fittest" as the OC's will have to be motivated by only intsticted to win, i never meant anything on a 'life or death scenario' but more of a competiton to live
