So what did you think of the giant spike rain I did with Lektra? She now has metal around the battlefield in a more predictable fashion, like how I melted all the coins in the battle with Mars.

Her true power would probably kill her though, unless she had her armor on. Her Horn Enhancer Module gives her a lot of extra mana and lowers her costs so she would take a long time before she's out. Like days. Perpetual energy would be OP, so I'm just making it last a long time.

Well everypony has a super move.

Like IB's D.I.N.E blast which won the fight against SM.

Unfortunately, Maverick style doesn't allow IB to use that move, so a clutch against Lektra is impossible.

Bronislav, just a FYI-

 

Magic, as I said earlier, works similar to an electromagnetic field, not an electric polarity. What you're actually doing would be cancelling waves to destroy barriers, and I don't think you can repel anything at all unless it was made of electricity, in which case you'd have to polarize a seperate field. Also, I think I now know how to have Wilhelm defeat Lektra- if he wants to. Well, basically the same way he would defeat and cancel any unicorn, but whatever.

That attack is just way OPed in my opinion, even with the downside. 2 days in RP time is pretty relative, but it does mean he can't use it against Lektra. I think you should just balance it with something other than a cooldown. I could probably her have counter with a similar lightning explosion to cancel it out, or cover herself in metal so she's frozen in there and would break out after. You know, power with power in this case? But really if you're having to resort to "super moves" you might want to think about someone being unfair to begin with.

I have in mind that (as of now) 2 of his 3 Variations DON'T allow for that attack.

And Maverick is a defensive style, not offense.

Barebone on the other hoof, WILL allow time for it to charge, therefore I'll only have IB use the D.I.N.E blast if he uses Barebone style.

No, not really. Explain? A charged attack wouldn't work though unless you actually had time to charge.

Ok here it is plain and simple:

Remember IB's Variations?

Cryo: IB goes on offense a lot and uses his powers more than anything. 

Barebone: Relies on his hoof moves to allow time for D.I.N.E blast to charge. 

Maverick: Uses strategy and times defense along with counterattacks. 

Balanced: Nothing changes.

 

As of now with his variations, D.I.N.E blast won't work unless he uses Barebone because:

Cryo: He uses his ice attacks too much to allow time for D.I.N.E to charge.

Maverick: Defense not offense

 

NOW do you get it?

 

(In the fight with SM he was using Balanced and STILL had enough time to charge it).

Not unless IB stupidly says, "Hey I'm charging my ultimate attack, so make sure you try to avoid it."

 

No. Also, Caliber noticed it because of his 'aura' powers.

 

So, for the LAST time:

IB's D.I.N.E blast will only function with ample charge time. (If Barebone normal time, if Balanced, longer than usual).

And for balancing, Cryo and Maverick won't let him use it AT ALL.

And a 2 day cooldown, which means he can't use it against Lektra.

Yep. Which means he'll have to use Cryo and fling ice at her until...you know what happens.

Although I'm pretty sure 2 days will be up by the time Mars and Inax's match is over, but he still won't use the D.I.N.E because Cryo doesn't allow for it.

I didn't do anything. We just talked it out. Glad I was somehow helpful without realizing it though! I'm pretty sure the flinging will be mutual, if you know what I mean. Lektra is a ranged magic user character, with little melee except her tendency to use conjured katanas.

And she's a damn good OC IMO.

I just wish our fight could be fair.

Oh well, you can't win 'em all.

 

 

And yeah, you were helpful. You enhanced my reasoning for making the D.I.N.E exclusive to certain styles.

Long story short:

The fight with me and Lektra is unfair by default.

I'm not backing down from a fight, no matter how unfair.

Oh, I see. Well I have seen OPed magic users with no physical ability. They're still OPed.

I can see that. My best friend Pey has an OC Eclipse that's a mary sue AND OP (on purpose tho).

My OC has a bit of both. (Ice 'magic' and hoof moves) Along with his Variations providing certain advantages and disadvantages.

 

I learned how to make an Earth Pony OC WITH 'powers' that isn't OP.

 

How can others mess up so easily?
