I'm laughing so hard at those who cant accept the reality that PC's are just as faulty as consoles, and naively deny it. I give respect to those who deserve it and these elitists are below the food chain in my book. You can ask a computer expert and they'd tell you you can't go a day without something going wrong. So what are they? 3? I could name plenty on Youtube i've met that can't drop their pride and accept that their pc is faulty.

I see this everywhere i go, and it saddens me to he such a low bunch of rabble trying so hard to make themselves look big; but fail in that aspect. Go ahead play with your little toys if you want, but a little advice:

 

If this is how you guys act, you don't deserve to be called gamers, real gamers show respect, which you haven't earned. So you can keep your pitiful mouth shut. Cause i'm a gamer no matter what you guys think; and you can't change that.

 

You can insult me, but insult my friends and you will be dealing a whole pack of us; trust me you don't want any of that. Your pc's are faulty too, you can't admit it, because you're too proud to. I feel sorry for your mother who raised you poorly. And if you say nothing ever goes wrong with your pc's, your a bigger fool than i thought and a huge liar.

Wow, what a narrow portrayal of PC gamers. And it's not like we're the only ones who act like our machines aren't ever at fault, I've seen hardcore console fanboys (ergo, "peasants") saying that their consoles are absolutely perfect too, like this one time someone tried to tell me Assassin's Creed Unity runs "flawlessly" on his PS4. Yeah, two things that don't go in a sentence together.

 

But of course, I'm not gonna say all console gamers are like that, because that is also an exceptionally narrow portrayal, and I'm not about to stereotype people just to get a point across.

Let me cue you in on something. A lot of PC gamers play console too. You've ran into a few people who have boosted PC's and they've upset you with their "superiority"? Good for them. They have more money than either of us apparently. I have a $3000 system I bought 5 years ago. I have a PS3. I have an N64, A dreamcast, A sega genesis, a sega master system. I play all of them. An actual true and blue PC gamer doesn't just use a PC to play a shinier call of duty, or a modded the eff out Skyrim/Fallout, we play games that a console cannot handle due to the control scheme, and the older generation consoles processing abilities. RTS games are the domain of the PC, as are MMORPG's. I know that Square enix has attempted twice to blend it cross platform, and I know that FFXI was moderately successful. FFXIV on the other hand was a massive failure, one that I am absolutely pissed about. I spent 60 dollars on the game, to have it get pulled and rebooted, and Now it's called a realm reborn. Basically square said "f*ck the players, they can shell out 60 more dollars."

I had a 1968 Pontiac GTO with a 6.6 SD and a 4 speed semi-auto transmission. It had a supercharger. It was extremely fast.

 

Did I call everyone in my school a scrub or "filthy casul" because they didn't have a true blue american muscle car? (Actually a cream yellow, but I digress). No. Did some people call me out in it because they thought I was being a snob? Absolutely. How did I get this car? I met a mechanic who was down on his luck and needed cash and sold the car to me for 2500.

All i'm saying is, they're not doing themselves any favors, by acting like their special. I'm fine with those who keep their opinions to themselves, but the ones i've met need to learn some humility. I'm not calling out the gamers who are respectful of fellow gamers, just those who don't know when to hold their tongue when they need to.

 

I'm sure you guys can understand my feelings on this, what they do is similar to nazi supremacy.

A "real" gamer is simply a person who plays video games, and gamers are people too. People come in varying shapes, sizes and personalities. Showing respect has nothing to do with fitting the definition of gamer.

 

Also, I don't recall having an obligation to say that PCs are flawless, just because I prefer playing games on them. From a technical standpoint, PCs are usually buggier than consoles. There, I said it.

And no, I don't care what other people play on. Hell, I own a PS3, and the Uncharted series and the Metal Gear series are some of my favourite games ever made.

From my experience, Windows (particularly Windows 8) is more likely to have bugs than a console with a limited, restrictive operating system specifically designed for games. The point I was making in the first place was that I don't have any problems with saying that the PC has flaws, and I don't have some blind loyalty that the OP thinks all PC gamers have.

 

If it makes you feel better, I play on PC more than on console, mostly because I don't like Microsoft and Sony's business practices.

The Xbox 360 red ring of death is the only notable game console error (though it is a pretty bad one as it requires physical changes to hardware to fix), while PCs have loads of problems (Blue screen of death, games that crash it, random glitches which freeze everything).

 

Though if we're talking about ability to play high quality games with a high frame rate and good graphics and sound, PCs are well ahead of consoles, though decent ones do generally cost more than a console does.

RRD doesn't happen that often anymore after the recall. Its either someone didn't know what they're doing or just happened to have bad wiring in their console.

I was talking about the platform, not the games. And like I said, I was only saying that in the first place to prove a point that I don't have blind loyalty to PC gaming, not to start a debate on whether or not PC is better than console, despite us both preferring PC.

I mostly play stuff from the 90s

Civ 2 ToT = best game ever.

 

I also play free online games, but they're generally equivalent in quality and complexity to mainstream games from about a decade before. There are, however, a few notable high quality exceptions.
