  1. Yeah... this totally won't be abused by assholes.
  2. Just got a new laptop It's an MSI GS43VR Specs: Core i7 6700HQ GTX 1060 desktop-class GPU 16GB RAM 128GB SSD, 1TB HDD (I have a 500gb 850 Evo SSD that I might replace the HDD with) 14 inch, 1080p IPS display Overall this is a pretty great laptop for the price I got it for. The gaming performance is phenomenal for being such a small laptop, thanks to the Pascal GPU. I've been playing GTA V at a nice mix of very high-ultra settings (completely maxing out the game tanks the FPS on any system without much visual gain) and it runs at a solid 60FPS. Temperatures are also pretty reasonable, with enough headroom for some GPU overclockable with the fans ramped up all the way. It's loud while gaming of course, but that's nothing wearing headphones won't solve. Unfortunately, there's a pretty big issue that causes stuttering during everyday use. Nvidia Optimus is a feature that disables the Nvidia GPU during basic tasks to save power, but it constantly switches on and off, and when it does things freeze for a second. Apparently this is a pretty common issue with this laptop and there's no real fix yet, but it should be fixable in a software update. If it isn't fixed soon however, I may end up returning the laptop because this stuttering is very annoying
  3. This episode was so chock-full of laughs that it let me overlook the pacing issues, to be honest. Just a fun endeavor all around.
  4. As a beginning writer myself, I've found that writing down, in summary form, what will happen in the story before writing helps. This way, you can always have a guide and a clear direction on where you're going instead of just winging it. In addition, I also try to write down a simplified version of the deeper themes and meanings the story will hold, as to not lose sight of those. Also, I can tell you from experience that finding an editor/proofreader should help a lot. In my first story, it all made sense in my head because I was the one who wrote it, but when other people went to read it they didn't get the motives of the main character. A proofreader can help in this regard because it gives a second perspective on how the story will look to an outsider.
  5. idk, I'm pretty sure you can feel attracted to boys but feel like you're a girl when you're actually a boy, or any combination of those things. Gender and sexual orientation are two different subjects.
  6. The most recent movies I've seen in theaters are The Force Awakens and The Hateful Eight. I went into both of these movies with an unusual perspective, because I haven't seen any Star Wars movies since I was 7 or so (gasp!) and I've never watched a Tarantino movie (double gasp!). The Force Awakens was an enjoyable, if somewhat standard, action flick for me. It didn't seem to break any new ground, but it was well-made and exciting. The Hateful Eight enthralled me. As a newcomer to Tarantino's work, I found the visual style and storytelling to be captivating, and it didn't feel quite like anything I'd seen before. It has really made me interested in seeing his other movies.
  7. Hell no! What kind of question is that? Okay, maybe.
  8. Please please please build your own computer. For 400£ you can build a computer that plays games twice as well as that prebuilt.
  9. Any memory will work, just look for the cheapest 8gb kit. Also, I changed the original build up a bit to include an intel i5. While it has a lower core count and lower clock speed, it's a more "efficient" platform, so essentially each GHz gives more performance per core when compared to the AMD processor, even when the latter is overclocked. This makes it much better for gaming, and not that much more expensive because you can stick with the stock cooler because the processor is not overclockable. (which isn't really a problem, because again the i5 will win against AMD processor even if you overclock the heck out of it.) So it might be a better choice, I have realized. It is worth noting, however, that the AMD processor will excel at certain tasks due to its higher core count. However, if you're only gaming the extra cores won't provide a benefit, as pretty much every game uses only 4 cores (what the i5 has), so the two extra cores won't be of much use in that situation. the revised build: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/user/Cloudyy/saved/P3RWGX EDIT: Also, I took out the hard drive because you already have one... And come to think of it, the i5 is a lot more expensive than I thought because I forgot to account for that fact. So the i5 is realistically like 70 euro more than the AMD processor and the motherboard/ram. Personally I think it's worth it, but it's up to you. And I forgot to mention. It's important to choose the right RAM and motherboard for your processor. The i5 needs a completely different type of motherboard than the AMD processor, and the i5 uses ddr4 ram while the AMD uses ddr3. Luckily, pcpartpicker accounts for these issues, and it will tell you if the motherboard or ram is compatible with your processor.
  10. Yeah. That's a go-to SSD for a lot of people because it's very fast but relatively cheap.
  11. Hmm, since you already have a hard drive an SSD would be a good option. Putting your OS and most used programs on that will drastically improve boot times and make applications installed on the SSD boot quicker, adding to the overall responsiveness to your computer.
  12. This would be good for gaming and overclocking. http://de.pcpartpicker.com/user/Cloudyy/saved/z6Mkcf
  13. Damn, I didn't know so many people hate MrEnter? While I do think he takes shit too seriously a lot of the time, and I don't agree with everything he says, I still enjoy him ripping into shitty cartoons. And I actually find his videos pretty humorous at times...
  14. I made a case in Sketchup, as self-building one appeals to me and I may do so in the future... Of course, the parts inside the case were downloaded from the sketchup warehouse. As you can see by the rather basic detail of the case, I don't have the skills to make complex objects like fans. Oh yeah, and ssd's would be mounted behind the motherboard.
  15. Any time someone posts a bad fanfiction and gets all defensive when someone gives it criticism. It happens more than you'd think. Edit: Since people are mentioning My Little Dashie a lot, I figured I'd throw my two cents in. I think that story has a bit of what I'd like to call the "PewDiePie effect"; it's severely over-read and overrated. To clarify, I don't hate or even dislike the story, it does a decent job at tugging the heartstrings despite its layers of cheese and manipulative melodrama. But there's so many better fanfictions this fandom has produced, yet MLD is the one most people know about. That's where most of the hate and controversy comes from, really.

    gaming Fallout 4

After watching the developments up this release and then seeing the actual game, I have to say I'm a little... Underwhelmed? Disappointed? Sorry, but the game looks like something from 2010, and considering it runs on the same engine as Skyrim, that would make sense. I actually wouldn't be as judgmental about that if it didn't run like it's a game with boundary-pushing graphics. Having outdated graphics is one thing, but having a game with outdated graphics that struggles to run on the latest hardware screams laziness and lack of optimization. When companies like CD Projekt Red can make a game with better graphics, far less bugs, and better optimization that FO4 with a smaller budget, you know Bethesda is being lazy and incompetent. I can't speak for the rest of the game, but this is a pretty big turn-off. You can't just release a messed-up game and expect modders to fix it without some backlash. This will likely be a purchase I avoid until significantly into the future, if at all. Oh yeah, and how about them saying it has a fully unlimited framerate? Yet unlocking the framerate affects the game's speed, because the framerate is tied directly to the engine. Lying is just going to piss people off.
  17. The Nipple Massagers Alligator Floss The Jobless Towels The Titty Deflaters As for real band names, probably Chumbawamba.
  18. Alright here's my setup i7 950 @ 3.9 GHz Radeon HD 7950 Boost 12GB RAM Tiny 320GB HDD desktop:
  19. penguinz0/Cr1tikal (He's seriously a fucking legend) Vinesauce Joel (I love it when he totally destroys games and computers) MattShea (funny guy, though it's been a while since I've watched his videos) Robbaz (His sims 3 series is legendary) Jacksepticeye (He's loud, but in a sort of genuine way while being funny) Markiplier (genuinely good guy who makes fun videos) McgoganLives (I'm guessing 99% of people here haven't even heard of him, but he's pretty cool) GamingLemon (normally I'm not a fan of super edited videos but this guy's edits actually make the videos more humorous. I like his gta and sims videos) And probably a bunch of other people I forgot.
