Hehe.  Nice pic; it really does provide a good contrast and shows off the differences between how Celestia looked at different ages...

 

...But when I read the topic name, I thought, "Wait, did something come up in canon saying Celestia is going to get old and die?"  I'm glad it didn't!

Think elves, Born small, grow (slowly) to adulthood, and remain forever unless killed by some means other then ageing.

 

Interesting idea, I agree with doing a Luna one too. Also I like how her mane changes on the second one, mixing thing up and what not, and apparently she was eventually like "Screw this" and let it grow back out. It was just a phase.
