Is Pinkie Pie the best role model of all time?

That was genuine fear they felt, making Luna feel like the villain wasn't right. But it was great for her fist episode as Luna, not NMM. But pinkie was hurting the situation by ruining every attempt to calm the ponies down. But also her accusing Luna of trying to hurt Fluttershy. Luna just didn't understand friendship that well or how to approach the problem; Twilight was the only one who understood what was going on.

Yeah I admit that was pretty stupid. If I could rewrite the episode and change things I would. I still think pinkie's costume was ridiculous no wonder she was acting ridiculous she's good at it. Sorry though I just get caught up in defending my favorite character to see she does do wrong.

Its understandable, i love her too. I was laughing at the chicken costume though, because she sure acted the part. lol.

But back to the topic, we even get to see Luna create an illusion of NMM to scare the colts and Fillies; which result in them becoming friends with her.

I feel like Pinkie Pie would hate me if she was real. I can take a joke, but if I don't know someone is joking, I think they are just being mean. I especially can't tell if someone is joking online because I can't read any signs of a joke. Also, when people tell jokes in the same tone that they say anything else, I won't know they are joking. I can take a joke, but everything thinks I can't because I never know when someone is joking.

Unlike Rainbow and Rarity, right? It's obviously you hate Rainbow, and I know you also hate Rarity because of another site. Pinkie is the only pony you like, right? You aren't really much like Pinkie Pie.

Then try seeing the good in every pony. Even Rainbow Dash. If you see the good in others, you are less likely to hate them. Although the only good thing I can find about Diamond Tiara is her ability to make things good as shown in Ponyville Confidential. Pinkie Pie is optimistic, so be more optimistic yourself. Don't jump to the negative conclusions. Just don't be so much like her where you break physics. They might want to preform experiments on you.

Pinkie is pretty much everything I'm not; Energetic, Bubbly, Goofy, etc. I'm always tired, I'm stiff, and I'm a pretty serious person. In some respects, I'm envious of her, because I wanna be like her. I can't even be that on the internet. Do you know how sad that is?
So, she's not my role model, but more of a negative-zone version of myself. I still love her, though.

As far as role models go, Apple Jack would probably be the best.  She has all the tedious virtues.  Twilight does an OK but not perfect job raising Spike.  Fluttershy would be excellent -if she could bring herself to punish her kids (The way Angel Bunny treats her is a sign she may not be up to it)

 

As role models, the others aren't too bad, but need some seasoning before they are ready for the big leagues.

I really think, that it's not best to look at one of the 6 as a role model, but to pick up on things from all of them together. They are actually really diverse in their emotions, actions, and just their general behaviours. If we can take all their positive aspects, and roll them into one bundle for us to study, I think perfection would finally be possible in a person. Now... If you add the negatives, then you'd be really messed up XD (I hope that all made sense...)

Pinkie Pie has been know to put unreasonable demands on others. She most of the time doesn't acknowledge she's gone too far.

:| I am going to point out that dash has far worse flaws then pinkie. At least pinkie didn't almost kill people and destroy a weather factory just so she can stop winter. those things you listed were not as bad as what dash did if anything dash is a far worse role model and she has more flaws. In fact no character is perfect so there is no right or wrong here because any of the characters can be a bad role models especially rainbow dash.

Dash is not perfect either. Just to point that out that dash has far worse flaws then pinkie. At least pinkie didn't almost kill people and destroy a weather factory just so she can stop winter. those things you listed were not as bad as what dash did if anything dash is a far worse role model and she has more flaws. Pinkie is a great role model for me personally, aa i find her ability to by joyful and spread joy something we all can learn from in varying degrees. But for other's it could easily be another mane 6 that they find as a great role model, or hell a little bit of all of them, or someone else entirely having nothing to do with mlp.

Right there! You see that ... that about nails it. Each character and the viewer's appreciation and affection is seen through some form of filter. Whether it is need or bias or longing or something more nebulous, these characters will appeal to people differently. What does Pinkie show me? That it is perfectly OK let free social conventions, embrace your inner Emerson. 

 

If you distill Pinkie down for me ... she is the pony embodiment of carpe diem. That makes her a value added role model, yes. Life is short and full of hell and heartache. To desire to seek out and find joy in this world ... well that is a wonderful trait.

Pinkie Pie just needs more stand out moments. As long it's not in a way where the story has Pinkie Pie push the others into uncomfortable/difficult situations if the objective is to make them happy aka. Cranky Doodle Donkey.
