It seems Konami isn't going to last much longer. They barely release games as is, now with Kojima leaving, this game cancelled, AND beong delisted from the New York Stock exchange. It's only a matter of time before they file for bankrupcy. Shame too, they made great games.

It's not real surprising. I think the series ran its course a long time ago, back around Silent Hill 4, but it's still sad news. Hail to one of the most creepy, interesting, and mindscrewy game series in history; we shall never forget thee.

 

I think I'll go home and replay one of those games.

Well, Konami has just dug their own grave on this one. We know that Kojima is leaving Konami, and he was their star developer. Now with Silent Hills being cancelled, which would have sold incredibly based on the hype from P.T, the only leg Konami has left to stand on is the Metal Gear franchise, which will probably die off without Kojima there, to be honest. I feel like this is just foreshadowing the death of Konami, and to be frank, I think it's about time they threw in the towel.

P.T. on it's own showed how much potential this game had. With Kojima AND Del Toro at the helm, this could have been a masterful work of horror. It's a shame this had to happen, but Konami apparently exists to make terrible decisions nowadays. Hence why they probably won't exist after some time.
