Cherry's humming helped Jade calm down a little, but she immediately felt worse when she saw Silver Heart, or more specifically the state she was in. She had trouble noticing it at first with her limited eye sight, but she could eventually make out the blood Silvers coat was covered with. When Cherry asked for spare eye patches, she looked up.

 

"Is it really that bad?" She asked, referring to her own eye, and wondering if it was really that wounded. Would she ever be able to see with it again? All she knew was that it hurt a lot, though the strange sweet smoke helped dim the pain. "Why is she covered in blood?" Jade added, becoming more and more distressed despite her efforts to remain calm.

 

She pressed the side of her head into Cherry's side, hiding behind her forelegs and peering through the feathers of her wings. She heard other voices coming from ahead, though she couldn't make out what they were saying "Are there others?" She asked with a gasp, hoping that these voices came from friendly ponies, and not guards coming to lock them up again.

I found an easy way to find out if you've inspired someone. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it!
