Random theorizing time!

 

I've been thinking about this, and I think I figured out how Destiny Askew was caused in-universe. It all goes back to one Event, or rather, the lack of one event. In this universe, Rainbow Dash never performed her Sonic Rainboom. I don't know why she didn't, maybe she wasn't born, or Fluttershy wasn't at camp, or the other competitors in that race tripped her up, but regardless, she didn't pull it off.

 

Due to the lack of the Rainboom, Twilight Sparkle fails her entry exam into Celestia's school for gifted Unicorns. She doesn't become Celestia's student. Celestia is forced to fight Nightmare Moon herself, as she doesn't have the Element Bearers. We already know how that turns out, They both die, leaving Cadence in charge.

 

Then the assassination attempt on Cadence happens. Cadence survives, but grows paranoid. She shuts down the castle grounds, which is important, because the Grounds include the Statue gardens. Discord no longer receives tour groups, and never gets the small bit of near by Chaos needed to escape. 

 

With the Princesses gone, Queen Chrysalis moves in, and is successful in her replacement of Cadence. (Perhaps she was behind the original attempted assassination as well?) The wedding still happens, Chyrssie still has a source of food, but is now the supreme ruler of Equestria. She starts to build up the Armada to conquer the rest of the world, and Equestria.

 

This only leaves one Question, when is Alex VanGamer going to take her turn?

Animal Empathy lets you sense what animals are feeling, which can gives you a bonus to things like animal handling since you know how to approach them.  It doesn't necessarily let you change their mood though.  It's kind of like... if you had normal empathy, and someone came up to you that was angry or upset, you could use it to help calm them down a bit by addressing whatever was making them angry.  But if someone came up to you in a murderous rage, it would serve more as a warning to get away from them since you probably wouldn't be able to talk them out of it.

I just realized, when we made Wilhelm's character sheet, we forgot to include both a sword and a sword skill.  If it's all right, I think I'd like to take the point he has in Teaching and change it to a point in Shortsword.  His skill level will be 9 if we do that.

 

So, for his action, I'd like you to make a roll for Shortsword.  In order to nock the arrow on the same turn, however, he would need the Fast-Draw (Arrow) skill, so he will not be able to switch to the bow at the same time as swinging his sword; that will be his action next round if you still want to do it.

That's fine; Wilhelm probably won't need to be teaching many ponies anything, and I suppose I can chalk up the skill change to differences in our AU.

 

....and yet another skill to acquire, though I think I'll aim for Fast-Draw instead of Piloting (Small Airships) for the time being.

Also, after SDCC spoiler info about the rest of MLP season 5...

 

...it sounds like the season finale may end up being eerily similar to the story I already had planned here.

He's never had to; the only time he's ever seen them is singly, never in a group, and as a result they haven't been aggressive.
