People get upset over stupid things all the time. There's a difference between being offensive and just taking offends in my opinion.

As for her cutie mark, a lot of cutie marks make no sense. Like, what are Snips' and Snails' special talents?

Its really stupid people get mad over Derpy as a character in a cartoon. Its not that hard to just enjoy the show without getting offended over the littlest things.

My god boy did you type that with your tongue on a smartphone? xD

And it's cause she's bubbly

"cause she's bubbly" I got a laugh out of that XD

Derpy hooves was a extra background character in the episode of the first season where the main six was invited and went to the  grand galloping gala, her eyes were crossed from a graphical glitch and she was noticed by the brony community and over time became the mascot for a while. Derpy was commonly depicted with crossed eyes and having some sort of mental disability or condition commonly autism for the significant  presence of bronys with autism and other conditions representing it ok to be different. She was called derpy because of the urban word/meme derp meaning stupid and/or silly but not intended to make fun of derpy just she was commonly called that by the community but she also goes by muffins for people who are against calling her that. I think her cutie mark is bubbles simply because it was her mark when she appeared as a extra background  character not original intended to be introduced in the show as a real  character.

I was at a comic book store yesterday and they had a Derpy action figure. The packaging didn't even mention her by name.

There was no name on the box. Across the top, it just said "I (Heart) (Picture of Derpy's face)". No mention of being called "Muffins".

Its because the name derpy came from the word derp meaning stupid and/or silly and its because you wouldnt call some one with a mental condition derp no one calls derpy derpy to be offensive while her name is questionable its because derpy is different is why we adore her. You shouldnt call some one who is differnt  derp or derpy though.

The cutiemark is random I guess but yea, I do relate to lots of things to Derpy's mental disability, which is why she's my wafiu

And I do like Yelling At Cats's song "What I did wrong"

I just don't know wnet wrong whats so horrible about that? I like both derpys derpy is good how dare people be offened b y her being a reason of making fun of mentally disabled people even if she is who cares? its n ot like having a character that makes fun of it is a bad thing, not saying its good either rbut its a cartoon not like dave chappell where you can hunt them down and knock them out

As we have seen in the show with countless other examples like Cheerilees smiling flower cutie mark for example not every cutie mark is necessarily meant literally. Flowers are usually associated with gardening or being a florist yet we know that Cheerilee isn't either. Also as we have seen profession isn't always the same as he ponies special talent, case in point is Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash wants to be in the Wonderbolts but is currently a weather pony, her cutie mark could be associated with that but we know that she didn't get her cutie mark clearing clouds. Also Pinkie Pie is a baker but we don't see anything associated with baking as her cutie mark though certain baked goods most notably cakes are often associated with parties if her cutie mark indicated any sort of profession I would say party planner, clown or comedian.

I find this occasional discrepancy between cutie marks and profession to be quite interesting and actually adds some realism to the show because while humans in real life have certain talents they often have to go into professions that don't always match up with that in order to pay the bills. Pinkie Pie likes baking so for her her work in enjoyable though I don't see that as her true calling while with Rainbow Dash I suspect that to her it is simply a job to support herself until she is accepted into the Wonderbolts.

With Derpy I suspect her cutie mark is a reference to her personality though with how many different things it could mean and circumstances in which she could have gotten it it is rife for expansion. Derpy dosen't literally blow bubbles but she can be said to have bubbly personality if that makes sense.

People are overly sensitive in this world. They never realise that things aren't how THEY want it to be. It's always "I want this, and I want that" rather than considering what the general population want.

Personally, I don't think you could have made a more perfectly made and beloved character even if you tried.

Me, I think her cutie mark means she's good at cleaning

Dishes, rugs/carpets, clothes, pets, windows, vehicles; you name it, she'll clean it good using extra shampoo/detergent/cleaning solution to get the job done! ;)

Not to mention, Derpy being a mailmare is not canon.
