Raridash

Is Raridash the least popular ship of all time? It's the only one I've never even seen someone support.

 

What do you guys think?

I've seen less popular ships, like Pinkie Pie x Rarity.

I like this one, and I know I'm not the only one who wants a Rarity&Rainbow Dash episode.

It's a ship I can get behind and it's a pair I feel should get more love and is long overdue for an episode and a comic

There hasn't been a Rarity/Rainbowdash episode since Sonic Rainboom, and there have been few moments between them throughout the series. Maybe it's because Applejack/Rarity already have that opposites attract kind of relationship, and the writers would have to come up with something Rainbowdash can bring to that table that Applejack can't. Both Applejack and Rainbowdash are tomboyish, but with Applejack's vocation requiring her to get her hoofs dirty and do a great deal more of what could be considered grunt work, her routine and personality seemingly have the least in common with that of a proper lady whose calling is to make dresses. On the flip side though, both Applejack and Rarity have a strong work ethic and are among the best in their respective blue collar spheres.

 

With Rainbowdash, if the writers wanted to contrast her with Rarity they would have to play up her jock side, and they have done that, though only in smaller moments outside of Sonic Rainboom, which is literally the only big bonding moment between just the two of them. I have no doubt that they have a close friendship, but mostly due to the experiences shared by the group. As it stands, I get the sense Rarity is a little bit closer to Applejack than anypony else while Rainbowdash is a little bit closer to Fluttershy than anypony else.

I love the co-star episodes, because when friends get to be one on one with each other (in the show and irl), it creates a totally different dynamic, and you get to see different sides to them.  And there's just something very endearing to me about seeing the ponies have one on one time.  And it somehow makes them more believable to me as well.  I really like how each paring kind of has a special bond, an interest they share, like Fluttershy and Rarity's spa time, or Twi and RD's reading time.  Rarity and RD may be the rarest paring.  I would certainly like an episode of this.  But as for a RariDash ship?  Nah.  Don't really see it.  But I just can't buy into any gay Rarity ship, because we know she's hetero.

Hell the only pony I will accept being shipped with Rainbow Dash is Soarin' (on the show that is and even that is 99.99% sure never to happen)

 

All other ships are therefore, rejected.

 

RariDash is a nice pairing though.

I can only get behind this pairing if I see them interact with each other more. The reason why I love TwiDash is because of how they interact with each other; especially in Testing Testing 1 2 3. They play off of each other so well, and we get to see that.

 

Not so much with Rarity and Dash. Of course, we need to see an episode with the two of them; or at least a comic.
