If I happen to be a part of that, the skills/abilities would have to be a more darker version of what our's are, considering my "ability" is making music, and I don't see that as a threat on it's own....but it's still up to you if you come up with a better idea...   

M-M-M-Metal! Maybe could you make your shadow fight with metal shreds or dubstep wubs, since it's still music, but not the regular Equestrian music (and my OC would love this music since he's punk).

by 'fight with' do you mean fight along side of me? if so, keep reading this. ok listen, there is dark magic going around in ponyville, so when/if your shadow comes to life, it turns EVIL, and turns against you, the shadow ponies are NOT our friends, so if you come across a shadow pony, destroy it, even if it is your own, because if you dont, it will hurt you, Lightning Strike had her shadow taken in Ponyville, so if its taken in ponyville (which wont happen cuz LS covered the sky in clouds), it goes back to the forest to join the other shadow ponies.

I have some ideas for Rocket's shadow, but I don't know which one I could use: would the shadow use his shadow skateboard as a weapon? Or not? Will it use another mode of locomotion, such as rollerskates? I have so many ideas that I can't sort them out and find the One. Could somepony help?

to answer your questions, your shadow version can use whatever weapon he wants, and of course he can have help when fighting it

That is true, but people can not constantly be waiting, mind you. In a serious RP that I am apart of, I have had to leave my character under the DM's control since I was a bit busy.

I noticed, I have been monitoring the developments within the OOC  . I think it could work, and I think it would work well if they had similar abilities yes, not quite the same, but similar (perhaps a bit darker). Would make sense if they knew your moves very well, but I am guessing that would be a pretty tough fight that might either best be saved for later, or if you want the villain to try to stop the group immediately by summoning the shadows.

If i knew that, I could have said that humble got the flute from Zecora, but maybe instead she could have a comment saying the flute he found is magic, that only works for ponies with the right musical spirit or something...not to focus the RP on me or anything....
