Naga reverted back to his normal self. At least, his normal physical appearence. Where as his Normal personality was that of a happy-go-lucky monk, he could not help but feel despaired.

On top of that, because I am a Vetala inhabiting the corpse of a stallion who passed away so long ago... Flesh tastes like heaven, and I am so ashamed to admit it. And yet, I limit it to only eating meat to every two weeks, the minimal need. It's even worse if it is I who had to kill the creature. Can you, as a being that is higher on the cosmological scale, at least try to understand why this Is so difficult? Even I am a demon in some lands, and yet I fight not only for the undead, but for the living as well. Seeing others like me.... Fighting against them.... Knowing that I am killing the closest thing that I have to a kindred soul, even many of my own kind are among their ranks. Until I had lived in Hell Above, I had never met another Vetala other than myself that was... Not feral. The fact that I was unable to convince them to turn to the light hurts. Chrysteel, you have an aura of love and compassion that is unlike that what we have seen before. It's strength, even the way you are now was able to Caras a sickly feeling. At full strength, Demons would fall under your aura and die. Simple: A bearer of the Rare Dark Magic. That kind of magic comes with its own will of corruption. Dark Magic was developed by Devils after all as a means of increasing numbers. So the fact that you have kept it mostly under control these past years, clearly shows your potential strength." Golden made two bracelets appear in front of her on the table. "These bracelets amplify ones natural talent and strength that they have over specific powers. This will make your aura stronger, capable of covering larger area and bringing create comfort to more in more dire need of moral. We don't know what will happen to you simple. It is very likely that this will increase the Dark Power and yourself which will cause a temporary power struggle for body dominance. That will happen inside your head, and you must deal with that yourself. Or we may have to kill you if the Darkness within you gets out of hand. Are you willing to risk it? We need your help."

Dawn was also curious as to how much Golden knew of Tempest. "So... what else do the divines say about Tempest?" She asked.

 

Tempest noticed that most of the landscape was flat with a few small hills dotting the north side. "Not really a good place for an ambush, but then again, looks can be decieving. A sure sphere then formed in Tempest's hooves and buried itself in the ground. Roots then spread through the ground, and every few feet, a smaller aura sphere would form.

Let's see, it's been said that he has control over an aura beast, the 12 tailed Fox I belive. We also know that he is a royal guard for Luna. Captain if I'm right. We say he is the strongest mortal and one of the greatest warriors across all faction. It's also said that he has a heart of gold, one who always puts others before himself. And a few other minor details. As you could most likely imagine he is quite popular in the Divine Realms. You're very lucky to be with him you know."

 

One of the other Divine Guardians face hoofed after hearing all of Golden leaf's words. "I told the higher ups not to send her down. She's a blasted fangirl of Tempest. It's of the utmost annoyance."

So what are you going to do, are you going to help us or run away and hide? Waiting for Death to come upon you?"

Both of your destinies are for you to decide and could change at any moment. Also, try meditation and training to help your headaches and... abilities respectively. I used to get headaches when I was first getting adjusted to my abilities but I don't because I honed them to a tee, along with coming to grips with my new place in the world. Accept your abilities. Don't fight them." Normally, the bat pony would've been more patient, but this wasn't a time to doubt oneself. Caras would be upon them soon and he didn't know how much time he had spared them.

 

Dawn could easily attest to that. She had been afraid of what she could do, but when Tempest first met her and at the same time discovered that she had abilities that were similar to his own, he happily helped her. That was when they had begun to form feelings for each other.

Do you have any skill in Magical artillery strikes; Barriers, healing magic; CC, or anything of practical use in battle? After that I'll decide what role you will play in the battle. This battle will most likely come middle of the day. Tomorrow. That gives us about 20 hours to prepare. I've sent one of my guys away to bring back help. They should arrive in a few hours. We will only have a small force to defend this place. Equestria's military can't mobilise that fast. I do think we will lose the city but this doesn't give them that much of a strong point in the north. Best to just delay and hurt them as best we can to give the rest of Equestria more time to prepare for the worst. Goddess Help us all."

Soldiers had been getting ready for battle for an hour or so now. Half of these Devil had never even used a sword before. Let alone one in battle. If only the city went to battle, they would be standing at about 10,000 troops. All infantry. Fortunately for them, some old friends of Caras had arrived. Two Lord Class Demons, one leading 5000 battle mages, and the other a team of 7000 archers and a further 3000 infantry. All of them had seen battle before and had gained power from their victories. Them, and along with the city, stood at about 25000 troops. A very small army, but enough for their job right now. The Lord of War was sending 100000's of troops their way to arrive within a few days up to 2 weeks. If the battle tactics Caras used a long time ago still stand strong, the battle would go smoothly. "Soon, we'll start our campaign to take the lands that originally belong to us. I wonder if Father will try and stop me himself."

Tempest nodded slightly. "I already have a surprise waiting for them about a half mile north of the city." He said, giving a slight smirk. "Even if they find out about it, it should buy us some more time to prepare." To be quite honest, there was no telling what the coming battle would bring. There was one thing that Tempest was sure about, though. Ponies would probably die this day.

 

Dawn looked at Tempest and couldn't tell what he meant. She then shrugged and stepped out onto the balcony to get a bit of fresh air. She looked out into the distance and tried to meditate. She needed to calm her mind and relax. "Hopefully everything can go back to normal after this, but there's no promise to that." The alicorn thought.

Golden: "Too risky. Caras will have a counter plan for that, and we need to protect the royals. Princess Cadence will be escorted out of this city by sky chariot under cover of night. The civilian population is already be extracted as we speak. It would be a sound tactic against a smaller force though. Since your aura magic is base of kindness and protection, it is best you play a support role. Providing support to troops in terms of moral and healing magic. Their is one problem with your plan though. Devils fear their leaders much more than they will ever fear you. And a fate worse than death awaits them if they flee from battle. They will not flee unless ordered to by a Lord Class. So making them cower in your wake will now work. Nice try though."

"sigh... powers thats tricky..........i WHA! what's happening to my hoof" simple's hoof proceeds to glow..and a white and black looking key sword appears (Kingdom hearts reference hope you don't mind) "well....if i have not study my blades well enough this is a key sword........this thing can unlock any door or chest.....well looks like i'm playing the trickster then.." he proceeds to look at Golden who seemed confused.........."you don't know what a trickster is......i do one of two things do sneak attacks on enemies.... or unlock chests and doors....." simple proceeds to smile "seems fitting for me haha..."

Her aura fills the room. Any wounds they already had heal in a few moments. Any fears they had become weaker. She then says, "A Valor's Love holds many secrets. Even I don't know what my maximum power is. But I will give it my all."

"WAIT... you think the trickster is useless in battle the one that could get any secret diary journal chest anything open, and get bonus damage done before the start of battle and thats useless.... yeah you really treat me with respect don't you...." simple proceeds to frown as he watches golden exit the building he decides to walk to the balcony he noticed everyone had already left doing their normal business he sighed "He's right what use i'm i....the pointless trickster.......great................oh..." he starts to cry as many memories come flowing back into his brain about his childhood

The bat pony knew that the demon had strong allies, but he wasn't going to give up. The demons couldn't gain any ground. As Tempest exited the room, he saw that Dawn was meditating and waited until she glanced at him and smiled. "Sorry about earlier. I didn't know that I would have that high of a reputation."

 

The alicorn giggled a bit and nodded. "It's ok. I understand." She said.

 

The bat pony smiled and sat next to her, placing his right wing over her. "Looks like we have the rest of the day to ourselves." He said,

 

Dawn nuzzled him. "We could get something to eat." She said. "Then again, most of the restaurants are probably closed."

 

Tempest nodded and smiled, as he heard some pony cry. "I'll see what I can do. Meet me in my room in half an hour." With that, the bat pony flew into the air and noticed Simple. He landed beside the pony and had an idea what had happened. "Knowing the secrets of your enemy isn't pointless. That is something a trickster would specialize in. They sow the seeds of dissent and reap the destruction that they cause. I would probably say that the closest thing to describe you would be Loki." The bat pony knew what it felt like to be under-appreciated, and he wouldn't let anypony feel like that. "You just have to show them what you can do."

The bat pony knew that the demon had strong allies, but he wasn't going to give up. The demons couldn't gain any ground. As Tempest exited the room, he saw that Dawn was meditating and waited until she glanced at him and smiled. "Sorry about earlier. I didn't know that I would have that high of a reputation."

 

The alicorn giggled a bit and nodded. "It's ok. I understand." She said.

 

The bat pony smiled and sat next to her, placing his right wing over her. "Looks like we have the rest of the day to ourselves." He said,

 

Dawn nuzzled him. "We could get something to eat." She said. "Then again, most of the restaurants are probably closed."

 

Tempest nodded and smiled, as he heard some pony cry. "I'll see what I can do. Meet me in my room in half an hour." With that, the bat pony flew into the air and noticed Simple. He landed beside the pony and had an idea what had happened. "Knowing the secrets of your enemy isn't pointless. That is something a trickster would specialize in. They sow the seeds of dissent and reap the destruction that they cause. I would probably say that the closest thing to describe you would be Loki." The bat pony knew what it felt like to be under-appreciated, and he wouldn't let anypony feel like that. "You just have to show them what you can do."

"i guess...look thanks....i....i...um......tempest..........do you believe a destiny cannot be changed........" he looks at tempest giving off a worried face....."it's just i've been having these weird thoughts lately.......and i..... don't really know how to react to them......look you don't mind keeping a secret do you?..." he blushed and proceeded to wait for a answer

Chrysteel follows golden out and asks, "A team of his type may be good at keeping the focus off of the innocent. His greater power is something he has yet to learn. His aura tells me that when the time comes he should be allowed both light and shadow connections. Only then will his aura stabilize. I will see you at midnight."

 

Chrysteel heads off her love hunger sated but her aura needs energy. She goes around looking for a place to get a quick bite to eat but finds all of the stores now closed. "Great not a single place to eat around here. Missed lunch earlier and will miss dinner soon. Not a good thing before a fight."
