Tempest sighed as he left the room. He then flew out to the northern edge of the city and landed upon the main wall. "This is where it begins." He thought to himself as a cold wind blew through his fur. A dark aura began to drift off Tempest's body as he formed his signature dual swords. A memory then flashed through his mind, but it was quickly suppressed. "That was a different time. I'm not like that anymore."

Dawn landed beside her colt friend and could feel the power flowing off of him. She then felt her own aura, dark purple in color, shroud her. "Be careful, Tempy. I don't know what I would do if I lost you.

"I'll be careful." He said, nuzzling her. The bat pony cared deeply for Dawn and he wouldn't do anything I hurt her.

Sword: "Even if we had to destroy the city. Their is no way we can transport enough explosives this way in such a short time and set them up. It took us 8 hours to get soldiers this way. It will take at least 14 for enough explosives. And we only have about 12 hours before they are expected to arrive."

Golden: "But you plan to use your Vetala powers are well thought out, it is unlikely that you will be able to be detected if you posses a Devil. But you are forbidden to use Negative energy. We cannot run the risk of losing you to your nature."

Chrysteel looks shocked after he says his final option. She says, "So, we can destroy the city and weaken them. But what about the livelyhoods of those who once lived here? They will be made nomadic. They will have no home. The main part of this culture has already been gapped by 1000 years. This is what i learned from some of the locals in passing. They at times feel out of place."

While naga could agree with Chrysteel's opinion, he certainly didn't see many other alternatives.

" Believe me when I say that I love culture. Absolutely fascinated by it. However, we have to think in the present. This would not only cripple their advance temporarily, but will also give us a chance to build our own forces. While it is a grevious loss of culture, the heart of yhat culture, its people, is preserved and may very well one day rebuild to be greater than it is today. I understand your point of view, as mine is practically the same. But no war has ever been won without some sort of sacrifice. Believe me, I've lived at least that long to know. I'm even prepared to sacrifice myself by going feral. The question Is, could you

Put me down if that's what it came to? After all, dying while in my right state of mind garentees that I could return in another body. Dying while feral... While negative karma is glowing through my soul.. It could tear my very spirit apart due to the raw amount of karmic energy involved. I'd be gone forever. Could you do that? I'm prepared to become a monster for mortals if I must."

Naga nodded.

" okay, so the explosives plan is a no-go. Honestly, I'm glad. But you know how Vetalas work, right? If I am heavily injured, then it isn't by choice that survival instincts take over. It is how we have thrived in your world for so long. If a body I inhabit is heavily wounded.. I lose control involuntarily. We don't know why, it just... Happens. If it does, and I can't snap out of it, then kill me if you can. That, or knock me out, or even run until the negative karma wears off. But of course, if it happens, I'll most likely be attacking demons anyways. I can't differentiate friend or for when feral."

In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God, hovering above? At least it is true, that man has no control... Even over his own will.

Chrysteel asks "Would the negative Karma be counterable by pure positive karma? If it is, I can surround you with my aura while using Valor's Wing Storm to intercept your attack and force my Positive Karma aura into you Smothering the negative Karma. Would that work?"

Chrysteel is thinking like a support attacker.

Unknown Voice: "Ara Ara. One two and Three. The lovely couple and some random pony. This was such a beautiful scene to watch too. You just had to go and ruin it didn't you. *high pitch laugh*" Along the northern walls near Tempest, Dawn and Simple, stood a pony who's body was covered by a cloak. But from the body size and voice, she had the appearance of a young girls. Possibly no older than eight in appearance and tone. But from the aura she was emitting, she was clearly a devil. "Such a shame to break up this lovely scene. But since we are all talking now, how about I introduce myself. My name is Niruna Lucifer. A pleasure to meet you all."

Tempest glanced at Simple and sighed. He didn't want to be interrupted while spending time with Dawn. "I'm fine, Simple." He said, giving a smile. As for the name, I don't know." While it was true that Tempest had save countless lives before, he didn't really pay much attention to it. He then looked at the new pony "Why are you here?"

Dawn felt a twinge of anger within her mind. She wanted a nice, moon lit scene with her colt friend, but it was obvious that wouldn't happen. The alicorn then glanced at Niruna and didn't know what to think of her. One thing was certain though. The aura the pony was giving off was not normal.

I want to have a tour of the castle! Your name is Simple right? I know your name. I always know people's names. And more. I already told you my name. Please call me Niru. All my friends call me Niru." She took of in a short gallop from where she was standing and ran after Simple to walk by his side. Giggling and Smiling all the while.

Niruna: "I'm out this late because i got board at home. Their are limited things to do when everyone is planning war. *Gasp* I wanna go to the throne room. I hear that Alicorns are usually quite big, so they have big thrones to contemplate for it. I always wanted to sit in one of the thrones. Can we go to the throne room? Please?"

(Trust me. This character does have a good reason to exist. And it's not something I made up because I got board one night. Although that is part of the reason.)

Dawn was surprised and she looked at Tempest, who didn't even try to stop Simple. "What was that all about?" She asked, sitting back down.

The bat pony sighed and sat next to his marefriend, putting a wing over her. Despite his promise, he decided to tell Dawn about Simple's plan."He's acting as a double agent for both sides." He said. "He'll get us information that may prove useful."

The alicorn sighed and looked at the moon. "You two are playing a dangerous game. Be careful." Dawn then gave Tempest a kiss on the cheek and relaxing into him. Both ponies were enjoying the moment.

Chrysteel is thinking like a support attacker.

Naga smiled lightly. He didn't know if it would work... dare he try?

" I... do not know. Karma is partially emotional. So it could very well work. The transient one said that the plan where I corpse-hop would suffice. So it will not come to that. However, I need to find a way to get my original body; this one, to safety. Along with that, I need to find someone willing to bear my soul on the front lines until I can find an uninhabited body and commandeer it."

Chrysteel says, "I would normally accept that responsibility, but it I am on the secondary lines. I wouldn't be close enough."

She starts eating a little more of the food here. It tastes of heaven and she enjoys it allot. She then looks ro the others and asks, "How will tonight fair?"

" very well. "

Naga said.

" I am gonna head off on my own. Purify some of this funky karma built up. try to have a good night, at least, alright?"

Naga then smiled and bowed. It was a legitimate, soft smile, one reminiscent of an innocent child's, perhaps? His speech patterns had certainly reverted back from formal to casual.

" By the way, when we have the time, tell me how changelings live! I've never met one until yerself! And one more thing... When it happens, stay safe. You and all of the others. I'll be praying for everyone's safety tonight."

With that, he took off into the halls of the palace, found an opening, and flew out into the sky, towards a cloud cluster in the sky. eventually reaching and taking a meditative position, he almost began the purifying chant, but not before his stomach growled mightily.

" gah... Ten days since the last consumption. Oh well. I've still got whatever 24 times 4 hours is left, nothing to worry about."

He then began to chant, in a soft voice.

" Om Benza Satto Hung, On Benza Satto Hung, On Benza Satto Hung..."

The mantra of purification. To anyone keeping their eyes on the sky, they would see an enticing, golden light. That golden light was positive karma, and it was Naga that it was exuding from. Aura-like in appearance, the energy flowed around him. Positive energy summoned to purify the negative.

Tempest smiled slightly as a thought crossed his mind. "Sorry, but I have to go get something. Don't worry, I'll be back." He whispered into Dawn's ear. The bat pony then flew back to the palace, hoping that everything would out.

Xena smiled slightly and knew what Temoest was up to. The aura beast also knew that Dawn would most likely love it.

The alicorn watched Tempest leave and wondered what he could have meant by that. It wasn't their anniversary of her birthday. "Maybe he's just getting us something to eat." She thought.

Baz giggled gently as the two left. "They really are trying hard." She thought, though it is somewhat understandable. She and Xena hadn't seen each other in a millennium and to be in the bodies of two ponies who seemed destined for each other made it all the more comforting.

Niruna: "What do you mean I'm a war type? If your saying that I enjoy the fighting your wrong. It's boring and it annoys me. I just wanna have fun. Yay! Throne room!" Niruna ran into the room but stopped shortly after entering to take of her cloak. Without it, you could see her coat was a very bright shade of white and that she had a very long Dark Brown mane and matching tail. She also wore a large knee length dress, one you would usually only on fantasy shows worn by a young royal. She ran up to the largest throne in the room and sat down on it with a thud, giggling and smiling. "Now I'm the Queen of the castle. And you're my humble servant Onii-Chan. *giggle* I love pretending to be Queen."

(Onii-Chan means big brother. It sound a lot better than writing big brother. And she is referring to Simple)

Tempest sighed as he landed in the palace and entered the room he and Dawn spent the night in. "It should be here." He thought as he looked at a bookshelf. He moved a small box to the side and saw a black necklace with pieces amber as gemstones. It has taken some time to make, but it was worth it for Dawn. The bat pony then flew out, being sure to hide the trinket from view.

Dawn heard Tempest and looked at the bat pony. "And where have you been, dear. I missed you."

"Oh, it'll be worth it, milady." He said. "Just close you eyes and I'm sure you'll love it."

The alicorn did just that and felt a weight around her neck. When she opened her eyes, she saw the necklace Tempest had gotten and was stunned. "It's beautiful." She said, kissing him. The two fell asleep right there, happy with each other's company.

Niruna: "Fighting is a necessary part of life, for without conflict. Peace will not exist. It's like night and day. You can't have one without the other. It's needed to balance out for forces of the world. At least I think that's how my teacher said it in Social History Class. I don't pay much attention in school. It's bor..." Niruna stopped her train of thought and her eyes shot open wide. She looked up and stated to smell the air, before giving out a small cry of fear. "I didn't think the divine leaders would still be here. And two of them, I can't let them see me. I've been told that they kill all devils no matter who they are." A set of demon wings protruded out of her lower back as she dashed across the room for her cloak. Putting it on in a frantic. "This cloak hides me. I need to go home, but I'm scared. Will you walk home with me Onii-Chan?"

Niruna: "Hell Above can be a bit rough at the edges, and fights between Devils are common. But the people aren't bad at heart at least by my views. Beneath the surface of our aggression, devils can be very social and friendly. But our desires for violence led everyone to hate us, and it scared us as a race. We have never forgiven Mortals or the Divines for it. We just don't have it in our hearts to forgive such an insult. We have far too much pride in The honour That our names carry, that it blinds us. Again, I think that's how teach told me. And thanks for not hating me for what I am Onii-Chan."
