Und covered my room in vanadium dust..." He finishes looking at his faintly glowing neon red inner wing feathers.

Red, out of boredom more than anything else, signed up to go get groceries of all things. Getting some money from her new bedroom (which she hadn't used at all: she liked sleeping with an open sky), she put it in her pouch and she set out on the road, then stopped. She'd expected the store to appear in front of her, what with it being such a small town... but in reality, she had no idea where it was.

"Ah even harder to stabalize. May I?"

 

The mother claims the kit and holds a set of tweezers up. She then points them at his wing. "One feather should be enough for testing."

 

Aurora goes into the kitchen to help her father with dinner. She sets the table for 5 instead of three. She then says, "Should I set a spot for our coming guest, papa? They should be here soon."

 

"Yes dear one more shouldn't hurt. We have enough to feed 10 ponies tonight." Her father says.

 

Aurora sets one more place at the table for a total of 6.

Hazmat walks up to her and lends out his wing. "Zey might be a bit hard to take out." He then explains, "On gentle touch, it vill feel as soft as velvet, but if it come into contact with anyzing blunt or... zat." He looks at the tweezers. "Zey'll be as solid as crystal."

Snowflake took notice of Red.... "alright Caliber watch and learn... I'm going to be doing this non-violently so here hold my knife" Snowflake unclips his sheath and hands it to Caliber "don't lose that, that knife has saved me from plenty of situations... I'm also going to do this without magic..." Snowflake puts up his hood and begins to start running towards Red, Snowflake then *accidentally* ran into Red and in the confusion grabbed and hid her coin pouch within his cloak... he got back up on his hooves and helped Red up "so so so sorry ma'am I'm in a hurry for something and I didn't mean to knock you down" Snowflake then continues to run until he is out of sight he then makes his way back to Caliber and shows him the coin pouch "see easy money..."

"No... problem..?" Red said, uncertainly. She felt strangely as though there was something off about the pony as she watched him rush off. Suddenly, having a feeling of foreboding, she felt in her coin pouch. It wasn't there.

Her eyes narrowed. Somepony was going down.

caliber noticed red seething, and he did his best to make it look like he didnt know snowflake. "dude, you may not be as good as you think. she might've caught on." he whispered, snickering.

 

he stayed around five feet away from snowflake. red looked furious, and he was pretty sure she knew hot to use that sword.

Red turned and charged after Snowflake and found him with Caliber. "Alright, buddy," Red said in her normal low voice-- but perhaps a couple degrees lower. The air around them began growing icy and there was practically frost on the ground. "You better start apologizing, and you better start apologizing quick." She smiled. The smile did not reach her eyes.

Snowflake took notice in Caliber backing off but didn't think of him any less of a stallion.... "my, my this rose has thorns.... and I made a rookie mistake by showing off in front of my friend" Snowflake grinned keeping his head down and his hood blocking his eye... "if you think using any sort of Ice sorcery on me is going to bother me think again.... I lived on top of the Canterlot mountain as a young foal... and I studied Ice magic for my entire teenage life..." Snowflake levitates Red by her tail "if you think I'm frightened by you think again" Snowflake drops Red and turns his back "ya know what here take your money.... I didn't need it any ways" Snowflake turns back towards Red and tosses the coin pouch "say lass whats your name?"

caliber's eyes narrowed. he gripped his sword hilt, ready to defend snowflake, if necessary. he knew what ruffled swordsmen/mares and if there was one thing that ticked them off, it was saying anything along the lines of 'im stronger than you.' so, if she really was a swordsmare...she'd attack...and he'd be ready to defend.

Red did not much like being levitated, and was immediately pissed, though her face did not change. Shoot, this unicorn knows magic well. This one (Caliber) probably doesn't as well, since he has a sword. She caught her money pouch and stored it. "My name's Red," she said, "and you'd better remember it. I don't like being stolen from." She pulled out her sword, fully intending to attack the thief, even though he'd given back her money.

caliber appeared next to red, his own sword out. he blocked the strike easily, since she didnt expect him to intervene. "hey...he gave it back. want more?" he asked, causally. "i got money, if thats what you want. but if he hurt your pride, then i understand."

 

he grinned at her. "im Caliber, the Wanderer. 4th strongest swordspony in Equestria, you may-or-may-not have heard of me." he said, proudly. "charmed."

caliber looked back at red. he closed his eyes, and opened them again. his eyes were hazy, and seemed to stare into nothingness. he smiled. "you want a fight?" he asked. "im down." he backed up a little. "oh, and i hang out with him because..." he frowned. "um...hold on here, there's a story, or something..."

 

he shrugged. "ah, he's just an old friend. now..." he got into his stance. "lets fight, if you want to."

Red grinned. She pulled out her sword in a flash, and pulled off her cloak. She got low to the ground. Okay, he's definitely experienced. She had the feeling neither she nor Caliber were actually taking this fight seriously.

In a flash, she was directly in front of Caliber, sword swinging, front hooves raised to catch a punch.

Edit: "Don't underestimate me," she snapped at Snowflake, kicking out at him.

Snowflake not expecting such force actually fell to the ground.... he is pretty resistant to pain but he has a very weak body and can only take in so much force "*cough cough* lucky shot," Snowflake gets back on his hooves and starts blasting waves of icy wind towards Red, he also enchants Caliber to be resistant to ice magic just to avoid friendly fire

caliber grinned, and ducked low. he went for a sweep, intending to knock her off her legs, and he would declare triumph.

 

but in case she didn't, and she jumped back, or something, he would be prepared to jump after her.

 

"ah, snowflake, there's no need to get involved." he commented." he looked back at red. "though if you think you can take me and him..."

Red jumped up, avoiding Caliber's sweep easily enough,but her hoof got hit by the ice magic. Oh, buck, COLD! She landed on the ground and stomped her hoof a couple times. She grinned at her two opponents, though she could not speak because her sword was held in her mouth. She couldn't hold her sword in her hooves for long periods of time, it was simply easier for her to hold it in her mouth. Not to mention she could go in for kicks and blows with her empty hooves like this, and throw her throwing knives.

She didn't know why she'd even gotten into a fight with the cocky swordsman. He'd just... irked her, somehow. What do I do now? She mused. The ice mage is weaker. I''ll go for him, and focus on trying to block the swordsman's blows. She jumped into the air and front flipped, so her head was facing down but she could see Caliber if her moved towards her out of the corner of her eye, and flew towards Snowflake.

Snowflake wasn't caught by surprised this time he quickly casted an ice wall to protect him Snowflake then climbed the ice wall and started casting balls of frost at Red "seems I misjudged you but don't think it was because your a mare.... its just been awhile since I found someone like yourself...."

Red slashed apart each ball of frost. I can't scale that wall. Maybe I can get him out of there by focusing the other guy. Red turned and jumped at Caliber, kicking at the hoof holding his sword in an attempt to block a sword swing. She dropped her sword into her front hoof and slashed at him.

caliber grinned, and pulled a waltz-like spin move to block it. "ooh, fancy." he commented, "but heres where you made your critical mistake. you tried to attack me with a sword." caliber launched a hurricane of attacks so fast, it seemed like he had two swords instead of one.

(That was the best thing... I was listening to Night on Bald Mountain when I read that, and I read "waltz-like" and it was fantastic...)

Red had a lot of trouble blocking the blows and flipped backwards, landing precariously on hind legs and picking up the sword in her mouth again. Okay, he was not lying when he said he was the fourth-best. She began considering her next move. She would try and go on the defensive, and hopefully, one of the two would let down their guard at some point and she could strike.

caliber saw her flip away. "oh, flippings allowed?" he asked. he backed off a little, getting into his battou-jutsu stance. "ill let ya go for snowflake...attack me if ya want to, though..." he said. she hadn't really had a chance to attack snowflake, so he was giving her that chance. but if she still decided to attack him, he'd still be ready to use his battou-slash.

"alright time to stop screwing around" Snowflake jumped off the Ice and landed next to Caliber "by the power of Ice feel the wrath of Anemoi!" Snowflake's eye glows a pure white and blasts a strong gust of -80 F frost at Red...... for a split second you see the goddess Anemoi before you get consumed in frost....

 

(I like how we are hammering an innocent pony because we stole her money.... logic am I right?)
