Lilith was stunned and fell to her knees. The vomit instantly came out of her mouth. The smell of the corpses horrendous. She looked at Jane with a pleading gesture. This was more than just the work of a simple serial killer. This person was a serial killer and a monster. Who knows what kind of powers this person could possess. She alone would never be able to stop such a killer. She would need help or else she might end up as another chalk outline on the side of the road in a dark alleyway. "I had another vision and this was worst than the last. Who are we exactly dealing with. This isn't some ordinary killer is it? I think were gonna need more than just me on this investigation".

Slashing inferno saw this gory filled scene. He also saw 2 girls one of them looked like she has just vommited. He walked up behind her "A very creative scene we got here, won't you agree?" No answer "Ah yes allow me to introduce myself, My name is Slashing inferno, and who are you?"

Sara stares at the device in awe, "I want one... No, wait, I want five ..." she stares at the armory, "Alright, so what shall you be bringing? I want to see what kind of gear you've got planned for an operation like this, especially since I haven't actually done anything like this before... I'm so excited though!" she smiles, looking back into the room to see what Shade decides to bring for the raid.

 

 

Longbow sits on a bus, riding toward the location of her next kill in as nondescript a way as possible. She's wearing a drab olive t-shirt and tan cargo pants, but carries a more appropriate uniform for someone of her status in her bag. Approaching the business district of the city, she gets off the bus and heads to the roof of a nearby building, changing in the bathroom on the top floor before coming out. Her 'work outfit' as she knows it is a lightweight ballistic weave she stole from a military research convoy a while back, dyed into a grey camouflage pattern. Her left hand tenses as she begins to gather her focus, ready to fire when the opportunity becomes right.

Jane helped her up "We have all the psychics on the force working on this case, thing is, these visions have put most of them off, over half of them are out of commission" once she was up, she saw a strange man in a jacket, she pulled out her badge "Move along sir, this is a police matter"

Blaze chuckled "No introductions then? Oh well" He looked her in the eye "Who did this? I bet it's the super scary villain everyone is talking about?"."I bet he is extremely strong, but who am i to know that?". Slashing inferno created a portal with his fire. "Well i gotta go to the Bosses layer, till next time!" Said Inferno and went through the portal. The portal closed as soon as he went through it. Pat and River just decided to head back to their room, where River set up her workstation and and began working on doing more research, while Pat just started browsing through the news to try to catch up on any current events. There was a recent murder scene, but Pat didn't feel like they were really getting anywhere. Though he couldn't think of any way he could help solve the case, as he was no detective.

"I wish I could give you one, but it's the only one out there that I know of. It's even mentally linked to me so I can summon any object within. The military used my powers to test it on me, so I kindly took it with me. As for the gear I plan to bring, I will bring some C4 in case your explosives fail. Always good to have a Plan B. Bring some tranqualizer guns to handle guards and scientists. And last but not least, I will bring the my ol' minigun, in case of supes." Shade began grabbing his gear and placing them on the bed. "Some of the supes out there can take quite a punishment. Encountered one in the past, and it took a few RPGs just to knock him unconscious. Can never be too prepared."

Silverlight sighs, "It's a shame that there aren't more, would make carrying my lab around between buildings much easier. Anyway, now that you're sufficiently kitted out shall we get to work? I figure it's about damn time we show the companies around here that they're nowhere near as invincible as they think they are... " upon hearing his mention of other metas she sighs, "Ain't that the truth though? It takes way too much effort to drop some of them. I'm just glad we can avoid such unpleasantness honestly."

 

 

After a bit of waiting, the target finally drives into Longbow's sights. This one was an executive of a bank, rumored to be attempting to inform on his bosses to the FBI. She tenses her other hand and draws it back, manifesting the energy she wishes to fire into an arrowlike burst, then lets it fly. It unerringly strikes the hood of the car, caving the sheet metal in and wrecking the engine as she calmly prepares for the killing blow. She draws back a second blast, taking the time to let this one charge to guarantee the kill, and once again fires, this time punching through the driver's side roof to turn the man's head into nothing more than a splatter.

Shade began to materialize his bigger gear into the HAMSPACE, leaving a few to holster on himself. "Yea well if i didn't take the only prototype, that I knew of, and destroyed the entire lab afterwards doesn't help anyone make more. Those guys did a number on me, and I don't remember a time before them." Shade suddenly stopped after remembering that time. After a few seconds he continued. "But they all paid for what they did to me," Shade said with a serious tone as he finished packing his gear up.

Blitz didn't really pay any mind to the van and he didn't really have enough time to check out the driver. "I guess I'll have to look into that later." He thought to himself. The hero then entered a nearby park and looked around. He had always felt a strong connection to nature and attributed that to his more dragonian side.

Silver nods, "Maybe one day I'll get a chance to examine that thing and build a new one, maybe even improve it... For now though, it's time to go on an adventure." she walks over to the door and opens it, ready to get on with their raid. Whole waiting she decides to say something, "The only person to blame for what happened to me is myself... I went a little mad scientist one day and now we're here."

"King can take care of himself, spending time grieving for a man who I don't believe is dead will do naught but lessen the light in me. Its a bit cheesy, but King used to call me a 'light among darkness'. He always pulled out 'The Star' when he was talking to others about me, and if I don't live up to that I'll get a damn good lecturing when he gets back."

*Sasha turned to look at Casimir with a smirk.*

"Besides, no matter what he encounters, his use of 'The Chariot' will be able to get him out of any sticky situations."

*Sasha's grin dropped as her stomach audibly growled.*

"But I suppose that's enough encouraging speech for now, because I am starving and I'm sure you must be hungry as well. If I'm right, is there anything in particular you are hungry for?"

Shade finished materializing his gear and ammo and headed outside the door to join Silver. "Went mad scientist one day? Science, isn't it just wonderful? First you get vaccines and amazing technology, other times you get disfigurements and superpowers. Gotta love it."

 

Shade then gets in the driver seat and starts the ignition. "Let's get this show on the road."

Silver nods, "That sounds about right... Tried to do something to make the world a better place, wound up making myself a superhuman... The great test tube giveth, and the great test tube taketh away..." She says jokingly.

 

Silver sits in the passenger seat and looks over her plan one more time, "Let's do it."

After a bit of driving, Shade pops in with a question, "Hey, I know I'm all set gear wise, don't you need anything? I imagine you can't go hacking with just your bare hands and no way to defend yourself," he questions with a worried tone. Silver is kind of growing on me isn't she?

Silver smiles, "Everything I need I carry with me, I have my bag for anything I may need in case low tech hacking is required, and I assure you that I'm more than capable of defending myself unless this place happens to have some sort of anti-tank weaponry on hand. Are you concerned for my safety? " she asks curiously, trying to gauge Shade's behavior and determine how reliable of a future partner he may be.

Lilith did not know what to think. The man had appeared so suddenly and then in a blaze of fire disappeared just as soon. Was he also a psychic like her? Did he have visions? She looked around and saw her guide. The guide seemed very wary of the man that had just suddenly appeared. Her Guide was hunched on all fours. A mangy looking mutt that looked like it hadn't had a good brushing or bath in years. Lilith definitely knew that her guide was on edge as well as Jane. "Who was that man? Do you know him? I didn't know you had other psychics working on the case too."

"Concerned about your safety? Of course I am! Your skills will keep me from getting too much lead poisoning when I run to and fro," Shade said in a joking mood. "And they need anti tank weapons to kill you? Why would rockets be the only thing that would give you trouble? You look normal to me."

 

Shade was surprised that someone that looked like her would require that kind of firepower to defeat. But she did say she had a mishap with a few beakers, maybe she has a point.

Silver smiles, "Well, I was going to save this as a surprise for if we got into a firefight, but I suppose I can show off a little now... Would you mind handing me your knife?" She asks politely, watching the road as they get closer to their target.

 

Which reminds me, I should probably figure out what he can do before I start making plans around him... I can bet good money he's a meta, the question is what kind... She muses internally, waiting for the knife.

Shade waits for a chance to pull over before he unsheathes his knife to hand over to Silver. "Here ya go. This blade is quite sharp, I do maintain my equipment since a dull knife can lead to trouble."

 

Let's see what surprise is in store. Is she going to be like me?

Silver nods, "The sharper the better, I promise I'll sharpen it right back up once I'm done..." She takes the edge and rests it against her arm, then activates the nanite operation mode she calls 'Armor form'. Her arm becomes a dull metallic color as she drags the knife across it. The blade makes a sound of metal on metal as it is swiftly dulled against her currently-armored skin and she smiles at Shade, "So what do you think? Increases my survivability quite a bit, so long as they don't have anything capable of penetrating the equivalent of inch-thick tungsten carbide... Unfortunately, I slow down a lot when I'm using it since I have to manually calculate all my movements." She armors one of her fingers and begins to re-hone the knife's blade, "Sorry about your knife by the way, it'll be ready in a moment."

"Impressive, most impressive," Shade commented. ​She isn't exactly me, but that armor can be very handy. "I have to say that is quite an ability. Maybe I won't have to watch my back too much then, or I could use you as a nice shield against bullets," Shade put his hand to his chin as he thought of ways to take advantage of Silver's armor. 

 

Shade soon put the car back on the road after Silver finished re-sharpening his knife. Shade then tested the sharpness with his finger. He winced when a the knife made a small cut on his finger. "That is pretty good sharpening skills there, Ever consider doing that on the side?"

Silver winces, "Please don't let them shoot at me too much, it's an emergency thing, not something I enjoy doing for a long time..." She watches as Shade slits his finger with the knife, "I don't usually have to sharpen things, but I've done it once or twice... I guess I just got lucky..." She says with a smile before looking at the cut, "Is that going to be alright? Are you sure you should be cutting yourself this close to when you'll need all your fingers?"

"Fine, no Silver shield for me then, just gonna have to stick to the ol' wall of cover," Shade replied in a sarcastic tone. "Oh that? Nah, it's perfectly fine, tis just a flesh wound. I've dealt with much worse."

 

Shade's finger then begins its rapid healing process which the blood stops seeping out and the cut disappears. It looked like nothing was there in the first place. "Good as new," Shade says as he inspects the finger. "See nothing to worry about. I don't have any of the fancy smancy armor like you do, but I have my own little abilities of my own."

Silver chuckles, "As much as being a living shield seems endearing, I for one don't enjoy being shot at, and the fact that I have to focus on that means that I can't be doing any hacking or anything else while that's happening."

 

She watches the wound heal and smiles, "That seems like quite the useful ability, unfortunately it appears that we have the same weakness toward rockets. Any idea how far away we are?" She asks curiously
