I know we all have our own beliefs so if you don't believe in Christianity like I do just answer the question anyways.... hopefully this topic isn't too morbid for the Forums.... if it is I apologize

 

anyways you just died somehow... and instead of meeting your creator you were sent to Hell to suffer for your sins.... what do you do now? and how do you react?...

 

I wouldn't know what to do.... I would probably break down into tears and run to avoid being endlessly tortured... while begging God for forgiveness and praying its only a dream....

This question is pretty difficult to answer. The first question that comes to mind is if I would be given the opportunity to talk to the ruler of Hell. If I can, would I be able to negotiate my stay or am I instantly doomed to the most excruciating pains possible? Will it be possible to eventually build resistance to those pains or because it's my soul they can warp me so I'll never get used to it? Would I be given any chance of redemption or am I stuck there literally forever with no way out?

 

We simply don't know enough about Hell to really give a legitimate answer.

Wonder to myself why Hell had to be created... I have wondered about this for a long time even with myself being a Christian. Eternal torture why? Could there not be a limit? Hell is for those who have literally spurned the one who gave them everything. Is it not a just punishment that you be punished for not even recognizing his greatness? To lose everything as the price for everything.

That's true I understand that bit... but wrapping my head around eternal suffering makes you wish that at some point there could be a point in time that it could stop. I don't know sometimes I wished myself religion didn't have to exist itself or rather at times I have felt like this. I'm just going on a tangent of thoughts at the moment. Wondering about things and pondering but I should probably just do some research myself than just say things.

Physically pain may not be too much for you but generally speaking your soul is the one going into Hell and the demons of hell will have much influence over it. Some theories suggest they could even go so far as to warp the way you think about things to make something painful for you that wasn't during life.

 

You also have no idea what kinds of pain they could unleash on you. They could bring suffering upon you in ways not possible on Earth.

 

It's presumptuous to think you would have any control over your suffering. The entire purpose of Hell is to cause such suffering and you can imagine they would find the one thing that would hurt you most...and it doesn't have to be physical.

That sounds horrifying.  Maybe I should pray to Azathoth (Cthulhu's granddad) and have him do this to the planet Earth (and apparently the moon as well).  If I'm in hell for no reason then I'll just call forth the fury of nuclear chaos.  That ought to teach Satan a lesson.

I don't have anything that causes me pain, i'm pretty much rock in those situations. They'd really have no ammunition against me. I'm not greedy, i'm not envious, etc. But being forced into something like that has no real benefit. You're pretty much "thrown to the wolves", so to speak.

You assume an awful lot about something you know nothing about. Every description of Hell that isn't a teenager's "badass" dream describes it as a place that has complete control over you. You will not breath. You will feel nothing but pain. Every painful memory will resurface even if they have to invent memories for you.

 

Hell is not said to be a place humans are even capable of resisting and it's hilarious that so many people truly think they can.

Obviously I can't speak for certain, just as much as anyone else can't, but people don't think about what they're saying. People think they know what Hell will be like, or Heaven/Paradise for that matter. These are worlds beyond our own. They don't follow the same rules. It's reasonable to believe that they'd have methods of pleasure/pain that aren't even possible in our earthly plane. How can you say you have any resistance to something you don't know exists? It's the folly of many humans to believe with unerring certainty their own words.

 

Many who believe they can resist pain have never truly felt it. Those who say they'd be great at fighting have never been in an actual fight. A lot of people think they know what war is like and that they can handle it...and many come back from war broken men.

 

Hell is a plane of existence we've never even seen the face of. If it truly exists imagine this: No one comes back from heaven because they've found eternal bliss...likewise no one has come back from hell because they aren't even given the chance to.

I'd hardly call that bliss when you can't feel emotions, its a part of who we are; take that away; and we're just husks. No real purpose. When you throw your own creations to the wolves, it's proof you don't love them; you have pretty much abandoned them to suffer for his mistakes. If he had of done everything right, we wouldn't need to have suffered.

 

Not bashing on religion here, its just common sense.
