gaming Games you would love to get a virtual re-release

For the longest time, the only way you could get games from the classic era of gaming (PS1, Game Boy, N64, ect.) was to either still have your old game and console, hope to find someone selling it on Ebay or a garage sale or, the easiest solution, emulate it through roms. 

 

Nowadays however, gaming companies have made it available to get old games on current related systems, such as selling PS1 and PS2 classics on the Playstation network, or old Nintendo game on the Virtual Console. But since they have to pick and choose which games end up being re-released, a few more beloved games end up being left in the dust.

 

With that said, are there any games you really hope see a virtual release someday? 

 

Two come to mind for me: Legend of Legaia for the PS1 and Jet Force Gemini for N64. The first was an unbelievable obscure title similar to another "Legend" game, Legend of Dragoon, both of which have a devoted cult following. Unlike LoD however, which you can get on Playstation Network and the sequel, Legaia 2: Duel Saga (which has next to nothing to do with the first game story wise), LoL is nowhere in sight.

 

Jet Force Gemini was a weird third-person shooter from Rare where you rescue koala aliens from an invading race of ant-people across various worlds with ever increasingly escalating weapons. It was also one of the first games I ever owned after Mario and I would like to own it again. With Rare owned by Microsoft though, I don't know if that'll ever happen.

I would love Metal Gear Acid 1 + 2 to come back.  They were a pair of games that came out on the PSP back in it's (incredibly limited) heyday.  It was a turn-based stealth/strategy/collectible card game that was fantastic for a portable game.

With Rare owned by Microsoft though, I don't know if that'll ever happen. 

 

 

Microsoft has given every right over to Rare, and Rare is continuing to waste their time with Kinect games. Rumor has it that Rare will be remastering some of their games for XBone though.
