You can mention a member in a post in 3 ways one way is that you type this code

[member='SixShooterOutlaw']

one way to do this is to place your mouse on their post and paint their text in blue color then a pop up should appear and the pop up has two options quote and mention press button mention and the user mention will be added into your post

one way is to press Special BBCode button on the posting toolbar and then select member from the dropdown menu and then provide the members name into the field below and it generates the code for you =)

You can either use this code:

 

[member="username"]

Or highlight with your mouse the post of the member you want to mention, and a "Mention" button will appear. Edited July 11, 2015 by Blobulle

The exact template is "[ member='insertusernamehere' ]", without the spaces. Since this is hard to remember though, the easiest way is to highlight any part of someone's post, click mention, and then replace the user's name with the user you want to mention

Of course, leave out the spaces and make sure you place apostrophes on either side of the name so like 'username' not just username.
