So, I was really curious what you guys thought of this one. I apologize if there is already a thread for this, but I couldn't fine one.

 

 

"Ponyville is attacked by sentient apples" is probably the dumbest premise for a story I have ever heard. None of it makes sense. At the same time, its so absurd that I'm having a really good time with it. It was stupid, but it was a lot of fun. I actually enjoyed it, which is more than I can say for some of the main series' recent stories. As long as you don't take it seriously, I think it's pretty solid.

From what I've read, it seems to be a story where to enjoy it, you can't take the premise and it's matter seriously as it was meant to be a homage to those monster b movies from the 50's or so I believe. It's not without flaws still of course.

It's enjoyable and humorous. To me it's obvious what the writers were going for, and it just allows me to enjoy it all the more. XD

I mean seriously. They even make a joke about this!

 

And in all honesty; some of the jokes they make are actually pretty mature.

I mean look at this!

 

 

 

It's a freaking concentration camp for gods sake! The frick!? There's even a freaking sniper tower!
