gaming Fire Emblem Awakening thread

So, after seeing nothing else such as a fan club, I'm gonna make one myself.

 

This game. Is amazing. It made its way to #4 on my Top 10 Favorite video games of all time the moment I purchased it last month. I gotta say, I am definitely going to purchase Fates when it comes out to the West.

 

Currently, I'm on my second playthrough. My first one I started out as the Female avatar because I felt like it. I wasn't necessarily that experienced as I thought, as I just paired up units blindly such as Sully x Stahl for no other reason other than "they're both cavaliers". And so I ended up with children characters that weren't so great. I only ended up using 4 of them, and half of the children units I never even unlocked in the first place. (Morgan, Lucina, Noire, and Owain were the ones I used.) I had a rushed Owain with the skills of a Level 11 Vaike or something and a Level 7 Lissa whom I never used after I got Maribelle, and even then I completely abandoned Maribelle after I made my entire team too overpowered to even care about healing.

 

I made some pretty poor choices on my first playthrough, especially giving Galeforce to only, like, 2 of my units. (Sumia and Cynthia). Though, I gotta say I really liked pairing up the Avatar with Lon'qu. But what I'm sort of ashamed of is that I completely neglected the useful units such as Kellam, Cherche, Cordelia, and Say'ri because I had things like a Chrom that is literally invincible just because I went out of my way to overgrind my units.

 

Though I'm not ashamed of throwing Ricken, Virion, and Miriel into the trash. Sort of. Imo I just don't like them that much and prefer everyone else over them.

 

I'm now on my second playthrough as a Male Avatar, and I'm at the part where Validar infiltrates Ylisstol. I already made an entire DOCUMENT that contains all of the build paths, pairings, and skills I want to do with that playthrough. I paired up Frederick and Lissa so I could get an Owain with Luna and Renewal later on, and I have several other predetermined pairings such as the Avatar x Nowi so I can get myself a Manakete Morgan and such. I'm also planning things such as obtaining Galeforce for any possible unit available. I'm also going to TRY and utilize every unit to their full potential if possible.

 

So yeah. That's my whole thing. Feel free to post things such as why you love this game or what things you did within the game that might be useful for other players, or just give your First Playthrough story just for entertainment.

I used to confuse this game and Kid Icarus. I said Pit was from Fire Emblem, but no, he's from Kid Icarus.
