Tonitrus' cold tone always made Brutus curious, but unsurprised. Since he met him he had always had a more serious air about him, it had made him both respectable and mysterious at the same time. <But perhaps a cold personality isn't the best way to be with a team setting> he thought to himself.

Brutus heard Gallid's comment and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. He was about to say something when the sudden action from Gallid made Brutus look at him with confusion and curiosity. <What was that about? Well, at least I know now I'm not the only strong one> he thought, suddenly, Brutus had to use all his will power to not laugh when Gallid was launched back after a failed firaga spell. This ended with him smirking, "He needs to be more careful, he may end up destroying himself before the heartless even get a chance" he said as he started walking with the others.

Finally we're getting out of this place, Tonitrus thought to himself as he stood up to join the group heading back to their quarters. And even though Tonitrus was anxious to get back, have a good meal and attempt to get a good nights sleep, he couldn't help but wonder why the mission was so simple. He walked up near Jarvan and asked him, "Are you sure there is nothing more to be done here? Sending all of us to quickly take out just a few heartless seems a little small, even for training. I certainly could have better spent my time attempting to improve my magic back... 'home'..."

Tonitrus reluctantly calling their headquarters a home, but that is what it was to him now. After seeing his own hometown of Cirrus being ripped and torn, crushed, crumbled and consumed, he no longer had a home or a family to return to. And as much as the young man hated to admit it; these new friends of his, the other apprentices, were his new family. Forcing himself to believe this, Tonitrus vowed to fight alongside them.

Ridere’s fingers danced in the air as if striking the keys of a piano, stopping abruptly he shook his head back and forth in disappointment “no no no… that’s not right, what is missing?” Looking up and noticing everyone’s absence from the area , he took two big leaps and caught back up. “Sooooooo….. if that’s all there was to it? Why don’t we stay in town and have some fun?” He smiles wide and nudges Dexter with his elbow “What about you Dex, when’s the last time you got out of that fortress of books you call a room?

I only leave to get whatever I need. And I prefer it that way. My books don't cause annoyances to me, but I don't mean you, Ridere. You're tolerable, to say the least. You don't mess with my studies or magic. At least not yet. I've gone and "had fun" with you before, but I don't see the fun of it all.

Dexter maintained his stride as he talked with Ridere. The big smile was familiar to him from the years they have been together under the Master's guidance. The relaxed nature of Ridere brought no problems to him during his stay with the Master. Ridere might be the only one of the group that Dexter "likes."

I appreciate the offer, but I'll head back to my room. Experiments await, books need reading, and magic needs to be learned. You're more than welcome to join if the "fun" gets boring, Ridere.

Brutus was silent during the walk back, not that it wasn't normal. Brutus was never much of one to start conversation, and he wasn't the most social of people. All of his life he'd spent time working to support his mother.

Now that has changed. So suddenly he had become a member of a team, learning to work with more than just himself. The problem was, he wasn't sure these people liked him at all. Though he gave them no reason to thing negatively of him, he never hung out with them. The only time he was ever around them was during training.

He quietly sighed and continued to walk, content with listening to the idle conversation around him.
