crescent was eyeing the levers "I don't suppose you know anything on animals do you, like which could mean danger and safety?" He asked Hydragon. If his idea was correct discord would want them to go for the obviouse "safe" animal and not the "dangerous" animal lever to start the trap

"Unfortunately, no I don't know mutch about animals" she answered, "but I would think that the ponys hoof would be safe and the griffon would be bad, but seeing as this is a puzzle of discords it would probably be the opposite, but you really can't tell sometimes" she added

"well, I have an old buddy who's a griffin, they not so bad when you get to know them" he said. looking at the levers "I'll let you take the call Hydragon, last time I kind of almost killed us with the beast" he said doing his best to smile without looking like he had dried blood

I guess" she said trying to sound confident but instead she sounded unsure, "when ever your ready, then i'll pull the lever" she said "or if you want you can stand far away from here when I pull the lever, so then you don't get caught in the trap... if there is one" she added

Cresent held up the gauntlet, "your not going to get hurt I know that much so if there is a trap at least well have something to slash our way out with" he said looking at he mare then looking at the door again, if a trap would happen he could gallop, not sure on flying but if all else fails they could both dive out of the way. Cresent then looked at the cealing, its what he would do if he'd rig a door the wrong way he looked at the door again "do it"

She said as she tryed to pull the lever but it wouldn't budge, she then tryed again but pulled harder than the first time, but this time she was able to pull the lever but it took alot out of her seeing as it was really hard to pull "sheesh discord you couldn't have made the lever easier to pull" she said while running out of breath

The lever slowly moved. Then a click was heard. Then silence. Nothing happened. It seemed like they would have to pull another lever, that this was a combination door. Since they pulled the griffon and there was a click, they were on the right track. However, if they pulled the wrong lever...they'd be in for something bad...

Refund dropped the Joker and perked at the voice asking them about the cards, spooked but aware. Blacks are curses, he thought to himself, remembering what the voice told him, Dapper and Mist. He went through the deck one more time, pulling out the first heart he saw and the first diamond he saw and debated in between the two. "They say, 'diamond are a mare's best friend,'" he told them. "But hearts represent love. What do you think?"

And if discord is trying to find the magic of friendship which species in eqsetria is most open to making friends?" he then saw the blue pony lever, He herd rumors of rainbowdash having an old griffion friend but the two had a bad falling out.

 

"Maybe discord secretly wanted them to be friends again?" he said out loud looking at the pony lever.

"yup that's discord, wonder if he's eating popcorn right now?" he asked glad he wasn't losing it

Cresent looked at the door again, the grifion and nothing happened. the hoof? cresent looked clser at the door trying to find a pattern. "there a red hairing on this thing. Hopfully it isn't this" he looked back at Hydragon "back up if im wrong on this plese" he said and after a bit of fidgeiting with the unicorn lever but finaly it was pulled down with a satisfying "click" sound

Now that they got two right, the consequence of missing the last one was greater. So it was critical that they pull the right lever. "A griffon and a unicorn? What could those two have in common. Choose the last lever, but make sure it's right..." The voice stated.

"I don't know," said Dapper as he paced back and forth. (come on, think Dapper think,) he thought to himself. He turned to Refund, "Wait, let's think about this logically. The card wasn't the queen of spades because it causes pain in the games hearts. Well the suit hearts also causes pain in the game so the only suit left is diamonds."

Diamonds were a symbol...since Rarity was the Element of Generosity and in fact, the diamond was the symbol on her element necklace. Therefore, it had to be diamonds. The only problem was...what number was it? Or could it be the king? Queen? Jack? Or even the Ace?

In fact, the labyrinth was ever shifting. Changes were happening sporadically. What seemed like a mountain of poker chips formed in front of the two. Totaled, the pot of the chips were worth 2.3 million bits. Suddenly, a deck of cards formed. If they wanted to pass, they had to draw cards equivalent to the number 21. It was basically blackjack. If they went over...they'd face a huge detriment...

Emerald yelled when she saw the chips "ok, why would this happen? cards are here but I have zero clue what they mean...are we supposed to play a game?" she calmed down then picked up and looked at it seeing a joker at the bottom "no pony needs this" she discarded it from the deck on to the pile of chips "so...what do you think?" she asked hoping an answer would be throw at her

"That's good thinking," Refund complimented Dapper as he looked the deck over again. He plucked every diamond and studied them, pressing a hoof against his chin. He had only heard of Rarity from her heroics along with the rest of the Elements of Harmony whenever they saved Equestria. What he saw in pictures and heard about her otherwise was limited. "What about Rarity?" he asked. "She's the Element of Generosity. Doesn't she have diamonds as her cutie mark?"
