What bugs you about the Equestria Girls franchise?

That no matter how good the story is, I feel like I am watching Bratz or Monster high. I mean even the stock art (not the show animation) reminds be of the girly aspect of Bratz or monster high.  I know it may sound hypocritical since MLP is a "girls" show, but something about the ponies make it unique.

The fact that the characters don't have their own human names, but are named directly off the ponies instead. That was something had jarred me in the first movie. I was wondering, "Oh, what's Fluttershy's name gonna be in this world?"

I'd have to say the character designs, or more specifically, what clothing they wear. Especially their legs/shoes, as their "shoes" almost go all the way to their knees! Also because Rainbow Dash is definitely the sort of character who wouldn't wear a skirt, but that's just my opinion...

They probably gave her a skirt because they were dead set on giving her spats/bike shorts, and those are semi-lewd to a lot of people. Mmm, girls in bike shorts...

I don't know maybe they should have made them less human and more anthropomorphic,

and have put a little more meat on their bones- way too skinny. All in all EQG and EGRR 

was fun and entertaining. Stoked for the  new EQG Friendship Games on 9-26-2015.

The name, lol. "Equestria Girls" sounds stereotypically girly in the same way " My Little Pony" sounds like it's for babies. But I guess there is a charm in this...

Okay, I can't be the only one who's noticed this.

 

I like Equestria Girls, not quite as much as the regular show, but I still like it. Rarity in the pony world has great fashion sense, I would wear something she designed if they were designed for human males, which they aren't. But human Rarity has such a terrible fashion sense.

 

 

Those outfits.

Applejack looks like an elf, Fluttershy's outfit is full of conflicting shades and colours (Pony rarity matches fluttershy's outfit to her eyes, while human rarity just uses a lime green for some reason.), And remember the time twilight wanted a dress covered in starts? Well, there it is, with extra colours and, for some reason duct tape. Rarity looks like a walking blueberry smoothie, and Rainbow dash just hurts my eyes.

Pinkie Pie isn't even in the picture, or any other group pictures I can find, and I also forget how she looks, but I'm going to assume that her Rainbow Rocks costume was so bad everyone decided to forget about it, because it was so traumatizing.

 

Also, Sunset Shimmer is the only one with good/normal looking clothes, because I guess human Rarity doesn't like her enough to turn her into an eye sore.

First thing that irks me is the merchandise and their character designs in general. As Scribbler once quoted me saying 

 

They could of done so much better than what they did, especially with the merchandise. Instead it looks like this

The second one is the fact that they are in highschool. Anyone who watches the show can clearly see the ponies are working adults with jobs and places of their own, which makes the EQG versions younger than the pony versions. While this could lead to some interesting stories, they haven't done anything with this either, making it entirely pointless to do. If your going to have a younger version of the mane six, have it affect the plot in some way.

And the fact that we've only once seen pony Sunset. I would like her just once to go back through the portal.
