Well since I got a topic for pony art I guess I'll make one for the not pony art I've got... Which is a lot...

Here's this picture. The image on the left was made back in 2010 it was the first image I made digitally.... A lot's happened since then. I made the one on the right ealier in the year. It took like seven hours for each cat. After I did the first two I got completely worn out though so it took me a few months before doing the final one.
As you can imagine this picture means a lot to me since it kinda represents what I went through in the past five years.

Anyhow I'll post more images later.

You're very talented. I too am redrawing an image about cats that was made back in 2009/2010, but mine is a little... cartoony and rushed compared to yours. It doesn't help that it's taking me days to finish.

Nice work! I especially love the colours and how realistic it looks. You don't need to answer this, but how did you get the cats to look very accurate anatomy-wise?

That's awesome! Will you be posting it on these forums when you're done? I'd love to see it.

It actually took me a month or two to get this picture done. Although from start to finish it only took around seven hours for each of the cat I took breaks while working on it.

There are a few answers to this question actually. 1. I have a few cats so I'm pretty familair with how they look. and 2. References. References always help with everything. Although most of this probably isn't referenced.

So it's really just a combination of already knowing what cat's look like and a few references here and there.

Yes! I will be posting it on the forums. All I need to finish is the effects and the background, but I'm not really good with the latter. So as such I'm reading tutorials on how to make nice backgrounds.

I see! I tend to use references myself, but unfortunately not that often. Most of the time I draw by memory, but that always doesn't turn out great in the end. I'll keep that in mind next time I draw something. Thanks a lot! :)
