"Oohhkaaayy." Marinara said, backing up and turning around. She had a destination to go off towards. And she would have kept going there, if it wasn't for the sonic booms going on above her. She looked up. One golden streak passed. Than another. Two more. Then three. Several chariots followed in their wake. By the glistening in the sunlight, they were wearing armor. 

 

And all were speeding towards the direction of Castle Ponyville.

Madness looked up and said, 

"What do you think is happening, I never really see a lot of chariots in one place before. Since we are walking to the same place, I'm Madness, what's your name?"

 

The clone flew up and said, as he left.

"I'm not going to wait, I'm going to see what's going on."

The area around the Castle was cordoned off by guardsponies. Two dozen patrolled the premises. Another dozen were situated at the various balconies of the castle.  The door to the castle was wide open. A formation of guards walked out of the building, surrounding something being wheeled out. A second formation followed suit. A guard in a purple clad variant of the guard ensemble, Shining Armor steeped out, a worried look on his face, and an even more worried looking young drake upon his back.  

 

Two more chariots landed. The doors on both sides of one opened, and out stepped the regents. All guards presents saluted. Luna walked towards one formation, Celestia to the other. The guards parted ways. 

 

Celestia stepped back. Her face a look of deadly calm. "Get them both back to the castle and into medical care immediately." The formations didn't waste time. Celestia & Luna moved out of their ways. Both moved towards their own chariots. Magically the doors were opened, and two stretchers were lifted, each onto it's own chariot. The doors slammed shut. Formations of pegasai flanked the chariots. Their drivers began their gallop before shortly rocketing off towards Canterlot, a full escort in tow. 

 

Shining & Spike looked on, the young drake dejected. The stallion underneath showing to a far lesser extent, but showing nonetheless. "I know you both wish to be by their sides, but the best way to help them right now is for you to help us figure out what happened here last night." Said Luna as she approached. "Understood your highness." Shining said in as formal a tone as he could manage. Spike just closed his eyes before nodding solemnly. "Now then, young spike, tell us everything you can remember from last night." Luna asked as the three headed inside, Celestia not far behind.

Dawn's eyes widened as she watched the princesses. "If Luna is here, then Tempest isn't far behind." She thought to herself. The alicorn then glanced at the others. "We should be careful for now. There's no telling how they'll react when they see us." She whispered.

Indicus looked at Dawn and the others, "How about this I will go to the castle and see how they react. Luna should recognize me despite the wings and height considering that I was part of a Spec Ops portion of her guard, and that she gave us training herself. Well wish me luck." Indicus walked up to the castles doors looked to the guards and said, "I may have something that may be of interest to the princesses." Indicus then undid the spells that hid his longer horn and new wings displaying them to the guard ready for their reaction.

"Halt!" A trio of guards approached Indicus. They heard what he said. They saw him undo the illusion spells on his body. They looked unfazed. "Sir, regardless of whatever illusions you may have attuned to you, this is a crime scene. Authorized personnel only. I'm going to have to ask you to leave, or present some identification." The center most guard informed Indicus.

Madness said, as he looked through the book, 

"Wait a minute, there is a spell to change your appearance, voice, and blood, so basically, you can be any pony, but I still want to try to get this darkness spell working"

His horn lit up and  he this small beam at the guards.

Indicus sighed, he should have known that the guards did not know how to read magical signatures. Indicus pulled his military ID out. "I'm ex lunar Spec Ops, hell if you need further verification that I'm not lying then have one of you guards scan my magical aura and you will clearly see that it is quite a bit stronger then any normal ponies. If that dose not prove anything then I will simply let myself in and Princess Luna should recognize me after she tries to kick my ass."

The unicorn took the ID from Indicus. "Watch him." he told the other two guards. The officer in charge of the trio walked over to the castle entrance, saluting to the guard at the door, who returned the gesture. "I beg your pardon your hignesses, but their is a nocturne stallion outside the perimeter asking to see Princess Luna. He presented us with this ID, claiming to be former Lunar special opps. For some reason, he appears to have the illusion of a horn atop his head." 

Luna walked over to the guard and took the ID in her magical grasp. "Hmm. Allow him to pass. Have him meet me outside the entrance." "Yes, your highness." The guard bowed before exiting. He made his way back to Indicus and the other guards. "The Princess has granted you an audience. Please follow me."

Madness found another spell. He said, as he looked over the spell, 

"Hmm. a tranformation spell. Maybe if I transform me into a guard, maybe I will able to get into the castle and see the library, I mean what's going on."

He looked at the others and said, out loud, but mostly to himself,

"Maybe I should."

Indicus followed the guard-stallion till he stood in front of Princess Luna. Following routine he decided to salute to Luna as he would have when he was in her special forces or to any superior officer. Indicus waited for a sign to lower the salute and to begin speaking.

"Wait what?" Marinara heard behind her. "Are you crazy. The whole castle is cordoned off by guards and princesses! You wonder int here, you're gonna get caught. Remember the changeling invasion? They have ways to detect disguises. I'm certain of it!" Marinara didn't want anything to happen that'll case her to get in trouble as well.

Luna approached Indicus with the guard by her side. As she got closer, she began to eye him over, repeatedly coming back to the horn on his head. "At ease." She said once she reached him. "I believe we should talk someplace more private." She charged her horn, and in a flash, they were both gone. 

 

They reappeared in one of the castle rooms. "Now then, I imagine you must have something to say to me, Sir Indicus."

"Yeah,  I remember it. But this might not be like that. Changelings can do it by will, this is magic. Changeling have disguises, to hide what they really look like. This  alters the physical body, bones, blood, basically everything about the pony will be you, I don't know if it does memories. 

Then he mumble to himself

"Maybe that's why these books were locked up it the first place."

"Still, the fact that you're actually thinking of risking it is crazy! Why don't you let the guards to their jobs? Who knows? Whatever happened in that castle could have been very dangerous. Hay, it could still be dangerous! If it requires both princesses and the captain of the guard to show up, is it really safe any more?"

He sighed and flew to the nearest branch and said, "Fine, Tell me when they are gone."

He grabbed a book that was locked in chains, and guietly took talk to his clone that was on the other side of the tree. 

 

The clone flew up to the window, check with there was any pony inside, then he quietly snuck into the library, and started looking at the books

@@Denim&Venom, "Good let me try and get to the point. I assume your here about something to do with Princess Twilight if being here is any indication. I know that your aware that I possessed a horn but never wings like most nocturnes do but the whole horn and wing thing is no illusion. I have a feeling whatever Twilight did, it turned some of the population including me into Alicorns of various power." Indicus replied taking longer to get to the point of the conversation then he would have liked.

Dawn watched the others as an idea formed in her head. She then ducked into an alley way and began to meditate. Wgat could only be described as a project of herself former in front of her after a few moments and it silently floated into the air and towards the castle. With her new body, she soon found that her abilities were increased.

@@Shadow Dancer, "First, I'll need to verify this for myself." Luna approached Indicus. She lowered her horn and touched it to his. A slight glow could be scene coming from the two.  Indicus should feel the power within him shifting, becoming a little more active & vibrant. Luna quickly withdrew herself. "So..." she said as she exhaled a breath. "It isn't just an illusion or a cosmetic change. True power has indeed awakened within you. You have ascended. You, Sir Indicus, have become... the first male Alicorn in recorded history."

When Madness clone landed in the library, he looked around to see if there was any guards, He sighed when he saw no guards were in there. He ran to the shelves and searched the books for any information about alicorns, and any books about magic, good or bad. He found a book and accidentally dropped it with a loud thunk. He swore as he listened for any noises.

Indicus nodded, "Well I'm not the only one and I hope only ponyville has been affected because if the larger more criminally active cities and towns are affected then there is a chance that more unpleasant figures may have a lot of power and time. Anyway I was with a few others with the same change as myself." Indicus heard a crash, and had an idea of who that was. "I can lead you to them if you want ma'am."

Madness clone found a bag and and stuffed the book in and found a journal that looked pretty old, and a black book with no label or indication of what it is about. he stuff them in the bag, then he grabbed a random book and sat down and started reading it.

"There are others who have been effected as well?" Luna asked, before sharply turning her head towards the direction of the sudden noise. She then heard Indicus make his next statement. "Yes, please, do lead the way. This requires immediate investigation if other various ponies have been ascended without our knowing. But first, lets' investigate that sound. Our guards aren't' normally so clumsy."

Indicus nodded in confirmation of what Princess Luna said, "Yes lets check that sound out." Indicus went towards the source of the sound and a bit unsurprisingly saw Madness's Clone reading a random book. "Ahh that explains it, damn curious bastard sent a clone to learn more about magic as if he had not been studying enough while he was apparently a pegasus. Certain he will kill himself knowing only the theory behind magic and not any actual practice of it until now. Hope he learns his limits and quick."

Madness clone heard someone, and felt a presence, He shoved the book into the bag and, out of fear of getting test down, paranoia, and not looking,  shot the beam of darkness, to blind for his get away, at the two alicorns. Then he grabbed the bag and ran to the window

Indicus blocked the spell with practiced ease and gave chase not really wanting to deal with a spooked Alicorn and his clone. "Damnit, I'll take care of this myself. I'll introduce you once i'm done with this little chase." Personally Indicus was quite annoyed having to chase down a panicked alicorn clone, and prepared for the annoyance ahead.
