Lack of "Big" toys for the finale...

So, it seems kind of weird, we have yet to get any new hints or spoilers of any new waves of toys coming related to the finale. All we have are the cutie mark magic toys from the very start of the season.

 

This just seems strange in comparison to other seasons, where there was always a BIG toyline related to the finale, which would usually be semi-spoiled as one got close to the finale. But nothing yet so far. We had The canterlot wedding playset and shining armor and cadence and the corrosponding toyline known about fairly early. We had Princess twilight sparkle's toyline known about early. We found out about Rainbow power as a toyline early. But nothing for this season.


It just seems very out of the ordinary compared to past seasons and having a sudden toyline related to the finale coming out.

The "explore Equestria" toyline just came out.

A new building known as the "Cutie Castle" was added to the mobile game. All the ponies from Starlight's village will move in there apparently. Could have some connection with the finale.

Like UnknownFry said, the Cutie Mark Magic toys could be it. They were just known about a lot earlier than even the Rainbow Power toys.

Especially considering we KNOW how heavily the finale is tied into the premiere, so not much use for a new line.

The "explore Equestria" toyline just came out.

I kind of figure that's a non-descript kind of "independent" toyline like ponypop or Ponymania. It seems to be affilliated with the map missions a bit in that those have them explore equestria, but that aspect of the world seems fairly low key in how important it is to the finale and the series so far.

Well its more that there's no new line of cutie mark magic toys-- all of them are "old" from over a half year ago.

 

Its just very rare for Hasbro to rest on its laurels and not have new toys churned at a constant pace is all, from a financial sense of how they normally operate.

Yeah. I keep expecting that toy to get advertised any day now, that's about the only real hint of things to come we have.
