Again, you keep saying that the Mane 5 should've let them know ahead of time, but you keep forgetting that civilians are usually allowed to most military bases, without having anything to worry about. There's no "injustice" at all

Except the case was a civilian hot air balloon flying into reserved air space. One doesn't fly a hot air balloon into an active air space like an airport or an airbase.

Wonderbolts Academy is a secluded training area meant to allow Pegasus to train without worry of civilians getting caught up in it. Throughout the episode there was no other traffic coming in or out during the training sessions except that one hot air balloon the Mane 5 were in.

Unforeseen circumstances can unjustly screw anyone over no matter the situation. No matter how much Lightning Dust appeared to deserve to be punished for the incident; the fact is that if the Mane 5 didn't show up in that place at that time like a cruel joke of fate, it wouldn't have been the final straw that ended her Wonderbolt career.

Ending Rainbow Dash's Wonderbolts Career would be about right as revenge for Lightning Dust. Maybe set RD up in the same situation of unforeseen circumstances reckless act and getting blamed for it.

- Hot air balloons in this world are essentially the same things as cars. They should have no issue with one appearing

- Nowhere in the show does it say that the WB is secluded(otherwise the mane 5 wouldn't know where it was). Again, they should be allowed to enter without worrying about anything.

- I like how you keep blaming the mane 5, LD showed no remorse for her actions. She enjoyed what she did at the expense of everyone else's safety, regardless if they're arrival was unplanned, because they shouldn't have had to worry about anything going wrong. It's not unfair, it's not injustice. LD got exactly what was coming to her

- It does when the training involved busting clouds which the hot air balloon came through.

- As the Pegasus shouldn't have to worry about dealing with incoming and out-coming traffic using moves that are allowed. The tornado was unorthodox but not banned.

- As I said, no Mane 5 no big deal. It wasn't Lightning Dust's own actions that buried her, it was that wrong place at the wrong time outside her control where the tornado would done nothing else.

Hot air balloon coming in while the cadets were cloudbusting? Cloudbusting is completely harmless and the mane 5 were nowhere near their way, it was the tornado that went after them.

The tornado was highly excessive and dangerous to begin with(as I recall it also messed up the other cadets). Even if the mane 5 didn't show up, her reckless behavior would still get called out by her cadets and she would've been kicked out eventually

Spitfire defined the tornado as unorthodox but not so bad that it was illegal. At some point Spitfire would have to address Lightning Dust and the resolution wouldn't have been as bad as the Mane 5 incident. No matter how much Lightning Dust can be blamed, the Wonderbolts Academy environment and culture facilitated that kind of behavior from the start. It wouldn't have been so bad if the WA had its act together from the beginning and Spitfire made it clear that such reckless acts where not allowed. Then it would have been something else if Lightning Dust was breaking those established rules on purpose.

We can agree to disagree.

Some of the Wonderbolts episodes, there is someone or something corrupt (defined by the Mane 6 morality standard) about them and Spitfire bends over backwards for "Rainbow Dash/Mane5" to deal with it.

Perhaps she would. Especially considering a lot of the previous characters which are like her, IE; Diamond Tiara, Gilda, and Trixie to name a few, had chances of redemption. Perhaps Lightning Dust would be the same. The power of friendship goes a long, long way afterall.

It's going to be a tough one since RD and Mane 5 were involved in a pivotal point that ended Lightning Dust's dream. She could either take responsibility or straight out blame them for it. LD could also be envy of Rainbow Dash's success with a conspiracy theory that RD and her friends set the whole incident up to get LD kicked out.
