slice of life PONY PARODY SONG II: Take Me Home, Country Roads

This next Pony Parody is a real feel good rendition for me. It is based on one of my favourite songs of all-time and as you can guess by the title, you gather that it is none other than “Take Me, Home Country Roads” by the late/great and immensely talented American singer/songwriter John Denver.

Here we none other than Applejack’s Appleoosan cousin, Braeburn honouring us with this song.

This is the scene I had inspired by this song. Braeburn, sitting on his front porch at his home, overlooking his ranch with guitar in hoof. Would there be anyplace else in Equestria he’d rather be.

I welcome all feedback and critiques. Hope you like!

Take Me Home, Country Roads performed by Braeburn

(In the style of Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver)

Almost Heaven, Appleloosa, Salt Block Saloon, shining red clock tower.

Life is old here, older than the trees, younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze.

Country roads, take me home to the place I belong.

Appleloosa, mountain momma. Take me home, country roads.

All my memories finest comforts, horse drawn carriage, acres of apple orchards.

Bloomberg apples make best apple pie. Misty taste of cider, teardrop in my eye.

Country roads, take me home, to the place I belong.

Appleloosa, mountain momma. Take me home, country roads.

I get up early in the morning, birds sing softly, the ponyfolk remind me of my family far away.

And when we get together, there’s nothing else to do but dance the night away, night away.

Country roads, take me home to the place I belong.

Appleloosa, mountain momma. Take me home, country roads.

Country roads, take me home to the place I belong.

Appleloosa, mountain momma. Take me home, country roads.

Take me home down, country roads

Take me home down, country roads.
