Kyubi thought for a moment and leaned on the counter. "I don't." She said, giving a mischievous smile. "As for my home, most of it is taken up by forest. Kitsune are fox spirits, so we are strongest when close to nature. So, we basically live in caves. Aside from that, there's not really much to say."

"I half expected it to be like that. I guess you do share similarities with the native fox we have here. I still do need to make time to visit one day. Much like with all the other racial continents. I plan on living a very long time, so it will be good to see how the world has changed." Stopping the water, Mikaele started cleaning the dishes.

 

"Though it's not like I have much of a choice on the matter of life span." He said this last part under his breath, but realising he said something he shouldn't, he hoped Kyubi wasn't paying that much attention.

Gale glanced back as her roommate turned his attention away from her and saw all the items Vladimir had brought. She found the most interest in the geode and the way it was shaped. "That's beautiful. Where did you get that?" She asked, more curious about the lamia then she had ever been.

Unfortunately for Mikele, Kyubi was listening and she glanced at her host. "What do you mean by that?" She asked.

A slight smirk spread on Vladimir's face and he gave a nonchalant shrug, before turning to Gale. "I found it when I was exploring near my home." He said. "As for your previous question..." The lamia then moved slightly to the left of Gale to place his bag under his bed. "Out of all the dragons I have seen, I have yet to see one like you. Medium in size with black scales. I'm assuming the markings are heriditary or simply scars. Your simply unique in every sense of the word. Besides, I'm not the only one who may be interested in you. That Phoenix seemed pretty on edge when he found out we would be sharing a room, assuming you still want too of course." The lamia then looked at the floor and sighed. "I apologize for my recent behavior. It was never my intention to be off putting. I don't really know what other species are like, so I'm going off prior knowledge."

'Damn, she was listening. I don't know why, but I feel as though I can trust her with this secret. Maybe.'

 

"I'll tell you what I mean by that. But please remember, I've kept this a secret for a very long time. And I will keep it a secret for much longer. I trust that you will tell no one. Lest we all suffer the consequences of carelessness." Mikaele took a deep breath and looked Kyubi dead on the eye.

 

"I'm a Vampire. Unlike most other non-human races in the world, Vampires have been living in and around humans for thousands of years. Our power hungry ancestors left a scar on this world that never healed with humans. Every Vampire is treated the same; excommunicated from the world we call home, hunted by people we once called brother and sister and finally killed. I wouldn't be surprised if you saw a people who claim to be vampire hunters wondering around. Unlike you, we're hated forever by all. You understand what would happen if this information spread right? Everyone here would be classed as vampire victims, you'll most likely never be able to return home or see anyone face to face again for fear of spreading Vampirism. My family will be put on trial and most likely executed for knowingly allowing a dangerous beast to live. It will just give everyone more if a reason not to trust non-humans. I'm trusting you to keep this secret. And don't worry, I don't plan on biting anyone. Just in case you got worried for a moment. Now, can we pretend we never had this talk?"

Gale nodded slightly and felt a bit more comfortable now that she knew the reasoning behind Vladimir's actions. Of course, she would've blushed if it was possible. The dragoness then nuzzled into the lamia's side. "It's ok. I understand. All of this is pretty new to most of us as well." She said, before glancing at the geode. "It's good that you have something to remind you of home."

Kyubi smiled slightly and nearly tackled Mikele as she hugged him. She didn't like it when others judged those who were different so harshly. She then looked up at Mikeke's face and tilted her head. "I'm sorry, but what were you talking about?" She asked in a tone that implied she knew what he was talking about. Her tails were also wagging as she made contact with Mikele.

Vladimir smiled and slowly moved his coils around Gale. "Thank you. You have no idea how much that means to me." He said. "By the way, the flaming bird isn't the only noble here. I'm sure you can attest to that."

Gale moved away from Vladimir and gave him a wary glance. "Yeah. Anyway, I'll see you later." She said. The dragoness then headed downstairs and out the door. She wouldn't go to far. She just needed to get away from everything for the moment. How did the naga know about her family? Was he in the same position? It certainly explain his behavior. The dragoness shook her head and sighed, before noticing that she was in the forest around the manor. "Great. Hopefully I'm not lost." She thought. The canopy was to think for her to fly, so she would have to find s clearing.

Aeron didn't move from the dining room for a few minutes, watching everyone leave just as quickly as they left, before she went on to her room (which would involve going past Gale's first).  Overall, she had to say that everyone wasn't all that bad, even though part of her thought she secretly made an enemy already.

 

When she got to her room, she took out her laptop and a tablet.  On the laptop, she clicked open a program, opened up a file, and revealed a pixellated map in fragments.

 

"Now where did I leave off...?"

He will admit, Kyubi caught him off guard. He expected her response to be something more along the lines of either fearful or hateful. But he was right to trust her.

 

"It looks like my faith was not misplaced, thank you for understanding." Mika hugged back and gave her a gentle pat on the head, smiling back to her.

Kyubi nuzzled into Mikele's hand and nodded. "It's ok. There are good seeds and bad seeds in every race. I don't judge people based on what they are, but rather what they do." She said. To be honest, the kitsune was even more curious about her host now.

Vladimir sighed and decided to look around the house a bit. "Great. Why did I have to open my big mouth." He muttered to himself.

"I can see you're a very kind person. That's commendable. I'm glad I have at least one person I know I can trust. Beside Sebastian of course. Now, in all seriousness though, just looking at this pile of dirty dishes sitting and not getting cleaned is driving me insane. I need to get these clean right now." Gently pushing Kyubi away from him, Mikaele set to work on cleaning the dishes.

Kyubi smiled slightly and began to help Mikele clean up the mess. "Thanks." She said. The kitsune then noticed a strange feeling in her chest and was curious as to what it was. It had started just recently and it seemed to be whenever she was around her host. "What is going on?" She thought.

Sappy walked outside. The cool breeze did not effect the dragon. He walked over to a fountain and decided to observe it. "The fountain of rebirth, quite the interesting concept" Muttered Sappy as he looked at the phoenix fountain. He adjusted his tuxedo and let out a sigh "I sure hope that there is some interesting culture to learn here. Or else my jouney was a waste of time" Said Sappy.

Gale sighed as she walked through the forest and found herself in a clearing. "Ok.Time to get out of here." She thought, before taking to the air. She could see the mansion in the distance and also noticed that Sappy was outside. She was slightly curious as to what he was doing and landed a few feet from him. "Hey. I was wondering where you went."

The actual cleaning up did not take very long with the two if them working together. Maybe 10 minutes tops, and Mikaele looked satisfied with the results. "Okay, I'd say this is done. That didn't take half as long as I was expecting." Drying his hands on a nearby towel, he petted Kyubi again and smiled. "Thanks to your help of course."

Kyubi blushed slightly and gave a slight smile. "Your welcome. Anything I can do to help." She said. The kitsune then basically hugged Mikele and looked up into his eyes before tilting her head into his hand.

Vladimir noticed that Gale had returned and sighed. "Well, at least she's safe." He thought to himself. Of course, he was cautious of the dragon she was with, though.

To say Mika was a little taken aback wouldn't be far from the truth. He wasn't expecting this sort of reaction to come from her. Being this close, he noticed a few things. 'What's this? Blushing, higher temperature, increased heart rate but no sign of being sick. If what I think is true is true, it's both parts good and bad for various reasons. Though I think I could have a little bit of fun with this for now at least.'

 

"Oh, so you enjoy my petting you, do you? And you're so cute the way you react to it. I think I'll have to do this a bit more often then."

Kyubi's eyes widened and her blush deepened. "Ummm, I guess. I mean, I was basically acting on instinct, but it did feel nice." Kyubi said, a bit flustered. The kitsune didn't really know what to say at this point and it was obvious that she was nervous. She didn't know what the ramifications would be if two non-humans did something like this.

"*chuckle* Alright alright I understand. I'll stop then. But I'm still gonna call you cute. Because you are." Mika stopped petting Kyubi and took a step back from her. "I don't mean to make you feel nervous. That was never my intent, just try and keep this interaction a secret from everyone else. I don't want to make it seem like I'm playing favourites." Taking a moment to glance outside, Mika saw that the sun was already setting in beyond the horizon. "Goodness it's getting late into the day and the sun is already setting. And it looks like it will be a lovely night indeed. I do wish I could still hunt sometimes. I joke of course. Anyway, all this work is done. You can go about your business. I have to write up some plans on somethings everyone can do outside the manor during our stay. I just hope everyone can follow the law. See you later."

 

Mikaele literally vanished from the kitchen, reappearing just inside his room in a small puff of smoke. 'While that girl is sweet, and adorable. I do hope she doesn't try and get too close to me. Seriously, a Vampire and a Kitsune. 1 mortal and the other Immortal. I don't like that. Immortality may sound so good, but the draw backs are just as many. I give it 5 years and my brother and I will no longer be semi-identical twins. Right, lost track of myself, plans.'

Kyubi sighed slightly and glanced outside. "I might as well see what the others are doing." She muttered to herself. The kitsune then began to walk around the mansion. Despite her best efforts, she couldn't stop thinking about Mikele. "I know having an inter species relationship would probably be frowned upon, but could it still work?"
