Hatred, simple because of the controversy and it's was just bland.

There are much worse games out there than J-Stars Victory Vs, but of all game's I've bought it's probably the most frustrating and disappointing game I've played this year and the only one I regret buying. Once the novelty of playing as your favorite anime wears off the game gets old really quick, some of the characters feel really cheap and unbalanced, and gameplay feels really really stiff. I feel they made this game to sell solely for the novelty of being a Jump crossover(similar to Project X Zone, though that wasn't frustrating, just incredibly repetitive), with the combat system and gameplay being a complete afterthought

If you haven't seen it yet try Fighting Climax Ignition. Dunno who all's in it but it's another crossover fighting game. I haven't played it myself though so I can't say anything.

I've seen trailers of this game before. Looks like a competent fighting game but I know none of the fighters, nor do I find any of them appealing. To me a majority of them look like a bunch of generic anime school kids :/

Man all of this talk of anime crossovers is really making me want another Tatsunoko vs Capcom, that was definitely one of the best

They're all light novel characters who I imagine haven't made it to anime much. I recognized only one or two. Kirito from Sword Art Online was the main one that got me interested.

Aquapazza is another one but you'd likewise probably not heard of any of those characters either.

I've found I like these crossover games even if I don't know the characters though.

I don't mind playing crossovers with a lot of characters I hardly know about. I love TvC despite not knowing much of the Tatsunoko characters because they all still had awesome and appealing designs(funny enough, Tatsunoko left out their most well known character from their most well known anime, Speed Racer :P).This may sound shallow, but I'm willing to play as characters I don't know about if they have a very appealing character design

But none of these characters have any of that. All of the characters just don't look appealing, they just all seem generic to me.

There's a couple of worst games of 2015:

Batman: Arkham Knight (PC version) - What were the devs thinking when they released this without first giving it adequate optimization? The game even fails to handle a supercomputer from its abysmal frame rate drops and constant texture pop-ins. Rocksteady should feel embarrassed for skipping optimization for the PC version.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 - It should have never been revived. After Neversoft's demise, Robomodo took over the franchise and made an HD version of the original THPS game, but it lacked nostalgia with important features being omitted by clueless devs and went  overboard with the release of THPS 5. If this is their idea of messing one's childhood game, then they did a fantastic job at doing so, making us hate it even more and wishing that they should've never revived the already-dead franchise in the first place. If any, they pulled a franchise necromancy in an unfashionable manner.

Evolve - Its a game filled with endless microtransactions because of greedy devs that demand more money than giving it proper quality and gameplay. Pretty shady, no less.

Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell - Cool name, but I want Saints Row V, not this. We want to see the return of Stilwater being evolved into a neo-dystopian city under Ultor's control. In any case, this game was too short with rushed plot.

Hatred - Not controversial enough. Manhunt and POSTAL, along with GTA, beat them to it be a landslide so this is clearly nothing new.

I wanted to say that I added the game Project Root to my original post. That is an overhead space shooter that is absolutely awful. Bland graphics, horrendous artwork, terrible story, glitches, forcing you to grind, the game is just bad and in a genre that was pretty much mastered in the 16-bit era over 20 years ago.

Star Wars Battlefront was a pretty bad game. Not only does it have a significant lack of content compared to the original Battlefront games, but the gameplay itself is also extremely dumbed-down and really brainless, so brainless infact that it makes Call Of Duty look like it has brains. If this were a Battlefield re-skin in the first place, it would be a hell of a lot better.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 was also shockingly bad. Activision has fucked with our childhoods for the very last time.
