Disclaimer: This is just an idea i had for a spin off series, these episode names and synopsis' aren't in anyway canon I just made this for fun; Enjoy and leave me feedback

 

Equestria Girls: Friendship Adventures

Synopsis: the magically adventures and misadventures of the Rainboom’s of Canterlot Highschool. Now with the human world Twilight Sparkle added to their group and taken under Sunset’s wing as a student of friendship, they all strive to each her as well as each other the meanings of friendship and even at times encounter magical mysteries and threats from Equestria but are all confident they can handle it united as friends.

My name is Sunset Shimmer; to most people I’m just a normal teenage girl who’s the reformed former Queen B. of Canterlot High…but those who really know me know I am so much more. I’m not from this world…where I come from things are well…magical…that’s right I’m a unicorn! Originally I came to this world seeking nothing but power and was driven by nothing but ambition and greed and I hurt a lot of innocent people and then one faithful day almost a year ago now my former mentor Princess Celestia had sent her newest student and the newest Princess in Equestria to stop me after I stole her crown and the element of harmony…magic…the one thing this world seemed to lack an something I desperately wanted more of. But in the end I was defeated by the magic of friendship and while it did take me awhile I finally saw the light and my heart and soul have never felt lighter.

I owe my life and an eternal debt to the 5 girls in this world who show me what friendship truly means, to Princess Twilight Sparkle…and now…even to this worlds Twilight Sparkle…funny how life works out huh? Who knows…maybe I’ll meet myself in this world someday…I just hope she’s more like the me now than the me back then. Anyway life is pretty good in this world, I’ve got 6 amazing friends, I attend a great school and since my reform I’ve made tons of new friends and made up with a lot of the people I hurt all those years, I’ve got a great job working as a tutor and part-time babysitter for the cakes, I’ve got my own apartment at the Golden oaks town-home center, even managed to save up and get a motorcycle! The school year is almost over and I’ll techinally be graduating but since I work as a tutor for the school I’m usually there or at Sugercube corner so everyone usually sees me around especially my friends.

I do wish I could say things were normal and quite but alas given I’m from a magical world and brought magic here with me with not one but THREE mass magical incidents having happened in this world, the residual magic energy was strong and so when Twilight went all Midnight Sparkle on us and I pony’ed up to stop her from tearing the fabric of space and time and reality apart; the portals she opened must of leaked in heavy amounts of magic from Equestria and its reacting…strangly…even the magic inside of all 7 of us has begun changing. Ever since I found out my friends could access the magic they used to beat me through their music and then later got the ability to do it myself and then even Twilight after awhile? I’d once given up on trying to figure out how magic works but it was then I realized…it’s my duty! And so as a part-time “hobby” of sorts I started a sort of magical investigations agency with my friends…people come to us with magical problems and we help them solve them free of charge of course. On top of that our band has been doing even better too, with Twilight having joined to help with vocals and be our tech manager and even having hired Vinyl Scratch as our DJ…well she offered anyway. We play Canterlot high games and special events all over town pretty often and its always a fun time, and luckily with Twilight as our tech manager we can play our “pony’ing up” as a special effect so people don’t get too suspicious of us.

I know this world isn’t Equestria but it has a charm and a magic all its own and that’s well…the magic of friendship…like Princess Twilight said…it’s everywhere…Though I can’t help but miss home; I plan on going back for a few weeks during the summer my friends understood as did the Cakes and my summer job at the daycare center. My friends said they’d be able to handle whatever magical forces come their way while I’m gone and I believe in them.

Season 1

Episode 1 & 2: Friendship is an Adventure: It’s been a few weeks since the friendship games and one week since Twilight Sparkle (Sparky or Twi as most called her) transferred to Canterlot High and made friends with the Rainbooms. Since then she’s been adjusting to trying to fully fit in at Canterlot High and try and make herself “different” than her Equine counterpart. Each of the girls take turns trying to help Twilight but each doesn’t exactly work out for her and one of them ends up getting young Twilight in a spot of trouble which causes her to question Friendship in some ways and its up to the Rainboom’s to properly teach Twilight the true meaning of Friendship and harmony among friends

Episode 3: Crash Test Course!: With the end of the school year rapidly approaching and mid-terms and finals creeping up everyone is trying to study to make sure they pass on to the next grade. With mid-terms first Sunset and Twilight do their best to aid each of their friends in studying; Sunset taking Applejack, Rainbow Dash & Pinkie Pie while Twilight took Fluttershy & Rarity; they are able to aid most of their friends well…however it is Rainbow Dash & Pinkie who are having the most trouble.

Episode 4: Furry Fury: Many end of the school year events are taking place, one of which is an animal drive sponsored by the animal shelter Fluttershy works at with her mom, attempting to get a new batch of puppies, kittens, bunnies and other such critters adopted and Sunset offers to volunteer and even adopt one herself

Episode 5: Party Pooper: The end of the year bash was coming up and Pinkie is trying her best to make it as awesome as possible with aid from her friends and everyone else on the party planning committee and much to Sunset’s dismay that included freshmen Diamond Tierra and Silver Spoon whom had joined simply to gain popularity among the upperclassmen by trying to persuade pinkie to change the theme of the party.

Episode 6: Stubborn as a Mule: Applejack unhappy with one of her final grades in two of her classes: Math & Science, she struggles to get her teachers Miss. Harshwinnie & Mr. Doodle to give her a chance to raise her grade and the farm girl seeks aid in trying to get the two most stuck up and stubborn teachers to budge.

Episode 7: Dress for Success: Rarity as head of the schools fashion committee has offered to make dresses and suits for everyone attending the prom this year however comes across a problem when her fashion rival steals her exclusive dress design and too add insult to injury attempts to sabotage her chances at being Prom Queen and must seek the aid of her friends.  

Episode 8: Coming out of your shell: Twilight while nearly well-adjusted to life at Canterlot High is still more or less very shy and socially awkward and so with that she isn’t so sure she wants to go to Prom or the big school fieldtrip and it’s up to the other Rainboom’s to convince Twilight to lighten up and have some fun

Episode 9: The Big Night: the big night at the prom and its not what ANYONE expected

Episode 10: Straight Trippin’: The big school fieldtrip too Screwball Kingdom Amusement park and a day of fun and shinnanagans from everyone at Canterlot High.

Episode 11: Rock on! Boom Strong!: On the weekend the Rainboom’s are scheduled to play a big summer time festival in town and are soon swept into conflict with rival band Trixie & The Illusions who challenge them to a battle of the bands at the festival since they didn’t get to fairly verse them during the last one

Episode 12: The moment of truth: It’s the regional finals and it’s the long awaited rivalry grudge soccer match against the Crystal Prep Shadowbolt and their new captain and Rainbow’s rival Lightning Dust and childhood former friend Gilda Griffon who begin to…intimidate Rainbow Dash with their skills?!

Episode 13: Feel the Burn: It’s the annual school triathlon and Applejack is a front running bet for first place since she managed to take first every year even over Rainbow Dash who always came in second.

Episode 14: Field Day: The schools annual field day is a day of fun, no classes just a full day of festivities and fun times around Canterlot high

Episode 15: For Old Times Sake: With the school year coming closer to a close and many of the senior students who are graduating, Sunset Shimmer takes some time to spend some time with Flash Sentry in order to say her final goodbyes to him since he’s going off to college on a music scholarship

Episode 16: Time Heals All: Rarity; heartbroken over the fact that she got dumped by Blue-Blood right after the Prom and the fact that she didn’t win has been kind of distant from her friends lately and is very touchy on the whole subject and her friends try their best to cheer her up and get over him

Episode 17: Moving on up: It’s time for finals and everyone(except Sunset & Twilight) are super nervous and getting cold feet after taking their tests, each mentally freaking out over their end results

Episode 18: Final Reconcile: As the School year is ready to end, the day before graduation Sunset Shimmer takes a day to visit Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna and does something for them as a show of thanks for being so patient with her over the years she’d been in their school causing trouble and being just as forgiving as her friends.

Episode 19: Graduation: With everyone at ease that they passed their classes, 6 of the rainbooms all scurry to get to the graduation ceremony so they can see their best friend Sunset Shimmer walk the aisle and give the valedictorian speech

Episode 20: Slumber Time Fun: The day after graduation the Rainboom’s decide to throw a big slumber graduation party(s)

Episode 21 & 22: Homecoming: With graduation finished, old business taken care of and plenty of time spent with her friends; Sunset Shimmer takes time to prepare to go back to Equestria and do what she should have done a long time ago but not before tackling one last magical problem before returning home for a while and it’d been a long time coming but…she’d finally run into her human world self…

Episode 23: All that shimmers also dazzles: With the human world Sunset Shimmer(Sunny as most call her) now a part of the main group with pony Sunset back home in Equestria for a while she takes some time to better get to know the other Rainbooms and while this is successful its when she happens to run into the Dazzlings that things start to get….tense; with the Dazzlings still sour over their defeat at the battle of the bands(mostly Adagio & Aria) and not knowing that Sunny and Sunset were different and Sunset must figure out a way to convince them of this and maybe even try and reform them.

I think there is potential for a spin-off series and there does seem enough demand for one, a problem I see though is that it's likely we'll see the writers running into the trouble of reusing plots from FiM(Dressed For Success sounds very similar to Rarity Takes Manehattan, The Big Night sounds like The Best Night Ever, and Crash Test Course sounds a lot like Testing Testing 123, for examples). Because EQG takes place in a much different environment/world, I think they should take advantage of that by putting the characters in situations they probably wouldn't be able to do in FiM.

 

Also, put in an episode where Rainbow Dash deals with the DMV and you have a winner

An Equestria Girls spin-off sounds like an amazing idea. I've been wanting one ever since RR, hopefully Hasbro takes a notice about this and listens to the fans for a full blown show.
