17 years ago, most of humanity's naval assets were wiped out by a mysterious fleet of ships with advanced technology and appeared to be WW II era vessels.This fleet, dubbed the 'fleet of fog' has cut off any communication between countries separated by any body of water and blockaded the oceans. The remanents of humanity's navies are held in underground docks. Now, it has been confirmed that the fleet has developed humanoid avatars for their main ships. The reasons are still unknown.

 

Blitz sighed as he shut off the television in his room. He had been watching some documentary on the fleet of fog and had found that most of the information was just from the human side. "I guess I should've expected as much. It's not like a human has ever been on one of those ships." He thought. His thoughts then turned towards his missing father and sighed, before looking at the clock. He would need to get to school in an hour, and today was something different. Any student rank 50 or above would be going to the local drydocks, and rumor had it that the navy had recently gotten a hold of a fog ship. The thought alone caused a slight smile to spread on the teen's lips, as he walked outside.

The wind blew through Amina's hair as she stood and looked at the sea with big happy eyes. She took out a fishing rod and pointed at the sea. She then leaned it back and swung with all her might. She inhaled the air and let an even bigger smile replace her already over the top smile "Nothing beats the fresh air of the sea!" Said Amina with absolute glee

Kyubi smiled as she looked out the window of her home. Everything in her life was going well, aside from the fact that the island was basiclally blockaded by an unstoppable fleet of warships. "I wonder what the fog are like. They have avatars, so they must want to make contact of some kind, or it could just be a trick to get people to be wary of others." She thought, before she walked down to the beach near the docks. Of course, she would have to go to the academy soon, but figured that she could relax. She was also expecting to go on a field trip, given that her rank was fifth. The teen then began to think of who else would be going on the trip.

It didn't take long for Blitz to notice two of his classmates and gave a slight smile. "I didn't expect anyone to be out this early." He said, before looking out into the ocean. "I don't suppose either of you two are going on the field trip, right?" The teen held a laid back tone and seemed relaxed.

 

(I'm just going to assume that Kyubi and Amina are relatively close to each other.)

Kyubi glanced at Blitz and gave a slight smile, before nodding. "Oh, you're a student from the academy as well?" She asked, somewhat curious. "I don't think I've seen you around. My name is Kyubi. Who might you be?" She was in the top ten in her class, and hadn't seen much of the boy.

Blitz glanced at Kyubi and gave a slight nod. "Yes, I am." He said. "As for my name, you can call me Blitz Ryu. Are you going on the field trip to see that fog ship, today?" Blitz wouldn't say what rank he was in his class, more out of fear of sounding like he would be bragging.

He was briskly walking down the path next to the beach, running a comb through his hair.  I can't believe I'm going to see a Fog ship!, he thought to himself, picking up his pace a bit.  Mother is going to be so prowd-  His thoughts broke off, noticing a few other students along the beach, and walked over to join them.  While he new most of the lower tier students, mostly from late-night parties, he hadn't taken the time to meet the rest of his high-ranked peers.

 

"Hi, Archer Kane, top student," he greeted them, offering his hand.  "I've seen you around school, Blitz was it?  Going on the little trip later?"

Kyubi nodded slightly and smiled. "Yeah, I am. It's amazing that we actually have the chance to actually see a fog ship up close." She said. "I wonder how they actually got it." The girl then noticed Archer and nodded slightly. "Nice to meet you. I think I've seen you around school."

Amina was completely oblivious to the conversation carrying on next to her, she was too busy concentrating on hauling in a giant fish. "AARRGH" Shouted Amina as she with a final tug, pulled the 15 kil fish up from the water, it landed on the shore with a wep splat. How ever the fish wasn't done yet, it was still spassing around, so with a well delivered strike she killed off the fish. With a satisfied grin, Amina placed the fish in her net and walked towards the students she spotted earlier "Heyo! The name is Amina, you guys the topranking students?"

Blitz glanced at the fourth student and nodded. "Yeah. I've been going to the academy for a while now." He said. The teen was honestly talking more than he had since the disappearance of his parents, and he was honestly enjoying it. He then glanced at Amina , and gave a slight nod. "From the sound of it, yes. Are you going on the trip to?"

 

Before the teen could respond to Kyubi's question, a clock in the distance tolled 8 times, causing Blitz to sigh. "That being said, we should probably get to school."

 

(Should we have the trip be at the start of the day or have a few classes first?)

Archer watched as Amina netted her catch.  "That's right, top ranked," he answered.  "As I assume you are at fishing.  Nice catch."

 

He heard the bell in the distance.  "I better get going," he said, "mother will literally kill me if I'm caught arriving late again.  It's like she doesn't know I have a social life."  He started walking towards the school....
