ManaMinori 4,145 February 17, 2016 Share February 17, 2016 There's so many ways, if DHX wanted to, reference the Inuyasha series, as they've done with many other franchises since season 1 (star wars, Transformers, Ect) how can you see such a reference being pointed out? Spike having one of his precious jewels fall through a well, by accident? RD pulling a Timberwolf's fang from its mouth, using its as a sword to lop off the wolf's limb? Rainbow Diamonds 282 February 17, 2016 Share February 17, 2016 What if Fluttershy had a comic or picture or whatever showing ponified versions of Inuyasha characters? I mean they could do that.
cmarston1 5,959 February 17, 2016 Share February 17, 2016 I don't really see FIM as a show to make anime references. But then again there was that one time in fluttershy's cottage in Scaremaster.... So you never know. But I still find it unlikely that there would be an Inuyasha reference. If there was one it would probably be subtle or not last very long.
Castle Bleck 19,376 February 17, 2016 Share February 17, 2016 Like cmarston1 said, Fluttershy had pictures of several anime Ponies (including Sailor Moon, Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion, Bulma from Dragon Ball Z, etc.) in her cottage in the Scare Master episode. So an Inuyasha reference wouldn't be a stretch at all, really. By @Emerald Heart.↑
Megas 27,741 February 17, 2016 Share February 17, 2016 Well Ramna got referenced, and that was from from the same creator, so maybe it's not much of a stretch? Maybe something similar to "The Scare Master" just to see more of Fluttershy's secret unknown anime obsession?

If they ever do shoutout Inuyasha specifically, I doubt it will be like The Big Lebowski or Star Wars shout-out from season 2. It'll probably be super subtle like in Scaremaster. Who knows, maybe Fluttershy will have updated cardboard characters representing newer anime (Inuyasha, Bleach, Naruto, One Piece just to name a few) #Squadgoals "But that day...The day I discovered racing...I proved that the legends were true.
