How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I found it on discovery family and then on Netflix.

I had no idea so many people liked the show like I do... I always felt so alone and so odd trying to explain to people why a 20 year old(at the time) exotic dancer (at the time) was so attached to a children's show, specifically a character! I have always struggled with severe bipolar, characterized by episodes of mania where I've done a lot of damage to myself and the world around me. I never knew what normal felt like until I found the show in 2012. Three years later, I still watch the shows daily, and since I watched the Brony docentaries on Netflix, I've found this awesome community of people that I feel I can share something real with that doesn't have to do with sex or drugs, but that has more depth and substance than I ever thought possible.I'm crying because I can share with people without feeling judged that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has not only saved my life, it inspired me to quit using and selling drugs, to quit my destructive lifestyle and to pursue becoming my own "Pinkie Pie" in life, finding the joy in bringing joy to others without using substances to get that fulfillment from within myself. Thank you to the creators,moderators, and users of this site... I finally feel like I'm at home.

Hi! Your past seems really hard--good thing that is behind you! Pinkie Pie is a good character for a young character to empathize with. It's not one of the best episodes, but one of the morals that I really resonated with at the time was the Episode where Pinkie Pie watched the babies and she took away from that part of being responsible is knowing your limits in responsibility.
