Copper shook his head.  It felt hopeless, but when he turned around, he could see the card he was looking for, with no trace of 049.  He looked angry, for he knew once he went there, 049 would come out.  So he took off to the card, grabbed it, put it in his mouth, and flipped the switch that was there, all in a matter of four seconds.

Gale was expecting the tesla hate to be there and knew how to get past it. Whenever it was off, she simply walked right through and proceeded down the hall. "Hopefully that thing is off if I have to come back through here." She thought to herself. The dragoness then looked around for any possible hiding spots should an SCP attack her.

@@reader8363,

When he grabbed the card he could dell something was wrong but it was already too late. The bag immediately bit down on his arm, tearing through it with its sudden set of 10 cm incisors. The card felt like a tongue before he lost the limb in question.

@@DwhitetheGamer,

As soon as he crossed the threshold of 049's containment the door he had been trying to open began to do so, revealing the tall equine form of SCP-049. It appeared to be an Earth pony as no wings or horn could be seen under the cloak or pointed mask. When he flipped the first switch, elevator power was switched over to the local generator, which would be activated once he flipped the opposite switch. "Hello..." 049 spoke in a slightly metallic voice, as if he were speaking through a short length of pipe.

@@Drago Ryder,

She passed through the Tesla gate without incident. This hallway did not offer much protection from the creatures she had encountered, though few of them could really be hid from anyway. The door at the far end had a button like the rest.

Gale noticed the button next to the door at the end of the hallway and felt like something was off about it. When she turned to walk away, however, her tail pressed the button by accident. It didn't take long for the food to open, and the dragoness quickly turned to face it and walked into the new room.

The voice was surprised to see Shadow return to the cell zone. By the remaining scanners she could tell he was tired, nothing a large dose of adrenal vapor wouldn't fix. She began to pump a mix of it into the room, it would serve to fill him with energy as if he had had a full night's rest. "As mush as I agree that you do need real sleep, we don't have time for that. If someone doesn't get to R27 with the level five keycard 079 will destroy this facility with you inside it. Copper had his eyes dead-locked on 049 for only a few seconds before the following events happened.  He charged up a Spin Dash, with the card still in his mouth, launched and jumped over 049, flipped the other switch, Spin Dashed and jumped over 049 again, and, before galloping to the elevator, spoke to 049.  "As much as I want to chat, I've got friends to save, so unfortunately I have to leave."  He then took off to the exit.

The entire sequence of actions with the exception of talking and going to where he needed to be took less than seven seconds.

To be honest, Gale was starting to get annoyed with doing the same task repeatedly. Granted, it was that or running from monsters. "If this is all one big test, someone's going to be on the receiving end of mud lame." She thought, before approaching the door and pushing the button.

The voice sighed, rather it made a noise that Shadow could tell was intended to sound like a sigh. "I don't have much of a choice here, but we really don't have much time. 079 is an anomalous entity contained by the facility like the majority of the other things here. A sentient machine that has an ever burning hatred for equines other than the one that built it. I fear it will destroy the facility which will in turn destroy SCP-2113 which brought you here, preventing you from returning. R27 is a location on your map, I cannot describe it for fear that 079 will overhear and thwart my plans. I am presently incapable of leaving the room I'm in, 079 has locked down the door so I locked down his as well, a stalemate really. The yarn thing is probably SCP-066. Now if you would please hurry, you'll need the card you were after or R27 won't help anyone. "

The two dead bodies began to rise from the floor, they were in an advanced state of decay yet still somehow mobile. 049 reached out his forehoof towards Copper as he proceeded to walk towards him at a faster than leisurely pace. "I sense the disease in you. Do not be afraid, I am here to cure you." There was nothing between Copper and the elevator he had come down in.

Copper kept running to the elevator.  He didn't believe 049, for he knew he had no disease.  "Sorry, no diseases here!  Just a semi-scared pony running for his life!" he shouted back at the doctor.  He had made it to the elevator and pressed the button, just in time.

The elevator doors closed behind him and began its trip upward. Given how slowly 049 walked it was not hard to escape him. Gale was surprised when she heard someone crying, but knew that nothing was as it seemed in the lab. The dragoness slowly proceeded down the hall. Every once in a while, she would give out a low growl that would echo off the walls. Her ear plates would then flick to face the sound, almost like a bat.
