Steady: *appears around the corner* "Everything alri- Ooh you're playing? Is it okay if I listen?"

"Oh, okay," Red said. He picked up his bass again and picks up his trumpet as well. He plays both, tapping on the bass, as he plays this song:

Steady: "Wow, that was so amazing Red! With you're help I know we can pull this concert off!" She rested her head on her hooves and continued to listen as if in a trance caused by the mixture of bass and trumpet.

"You're welcome," Red replies after finishing the song, "It's really nice to hear that, and to play again too. Now tell me about your friend Krooked. He seems pretty nice."

Steady: "Oh we've been friends since we were just fillies! He always cares about others and does anything to help other musicians when he can. We met a long time ago on a playground just outside Ponyville. I had just earned my Cutie Mark and decided to show it off to my friends.

 

Well... former friends, everypony began to make fun of me and call me names because I had a music Cutie Mark. But Nel came along and made them leave. I looked up to him and saw a musical mark on his flank too. Ever since we've been the best of friends. Not to mention we've lived together for the past few years."

Nel: "Sometimes, Nel likes to have me perform for vocals he can't do himself. I kind of want to try other genres... Hey, would you want to perform with me at the concert? It'll have multiple acts so I'm sure the others wouldn't mind!"

"There." prince put the contents back in the trunk. He put it on his back and looked at the blushing Bass. "Let's walk shall we?" he said slowly walking down the hallway.

"Let's do it. This song is kind of a satire. It makes fun of Manehatten society in the depression days. Here are the lyrics," Red says giving Steady the lyrics.

Steady: *reads the lyrics quickly and gives Red a nod when she's ready*

 

Nel's ears flicked up when he heard the sweet voice of Steady's mixed with the low strums of a bass. He peeked around the corner and saw exarch what he imagined. Steady singing with her eyes closed while Red sat on a stool and played his bass.

 

'She looks so beautiful when she sings...'

Red looks up for a moment to see Nel. He gives a hat tip, points at Nel, then to Steady, then nods yes trying not to get noticed by Steady.

Nel: *Walks into the the room and begins to sing along with her.* Steady turned around with surprise at the new voice but smiled when she noticed it was Nel.

 

(He's just freestyling along with what she is doing. Also, is this what Red meant? I was a little confused. If it meant something else I can change this post.)

Red laughed to himself a little, shook his head, and kept on playing. Then he decides to throw in a few freestyles as well.

The two sang together for what felt like an eternity but the song soon came to a close as they stood mere inches from each other. Steady smiled at him with half open eyes and nuzzled his neck. They stayed there until they heard somepony cleartheir throat.

 

(I was afraid of that, Im playing madden as I type so I'm not completely focused.)

"Oh, sorry about that," Red said clearing his throat again, "Don't mind me. In fact, I'm going to go to the other room in hope it's the restroom." Red walked out of the room without saying another word. He thought they might want to talk alone.
