If the Brony fandom had a pair of pony mascots

Which two ponies would best represent the fandom? (Can be from any generation)

In my opinion, it would have to be G3 Toola Roola, a pony who is a painter and also skilled at crafts, and g4 Vinyl Scratch, who is a skilled DJ and music composer. They're pretty much the fandom ponysonified.

i'm not the biggest fan of pinkie pie, but there is no doubt that she is a fine standard bearer for the series.  

cute, unique, and lovable even if you don't like ponies.

I always thought Rainbow Dash and Derpy were iconic figureheads. Mostly because I noticed them the most before (and after, I guess) I became a Brony.

I guess so. Even if every brony in the fandom doesn't try to be as happy and cheerful and helping to others as her, I can see why Pinks would be a pretty good mascot

But, I would say Rainbow Dash definitely, even though I dislike her, she is very well known.

i dunno. 

for the purposes of representing the show to a broad range of people that includes bronies and non-bronies...pinkie stands head and shoulders above the rest.  2nd place isn't obvious.

this choice would be based on the assumption that the other pony would compliment pinkie as the first choice.

The two look good together, represent two types of ponies with two very different personalities, relatively different aesthetics, but both are enthusiastic and fun, which is important for the role.  I could be convinced to pick a different second though.

I don't think I need to explain, the two are insanely popular, moreso than even some of the main characters, gets ridiculous amounts of fan-content and seem to take up a majority of posts and attention in sites like EQD and such

well, it's helpful to offer reason why you picked the characters, for people who can't see the logic in why you picked them, or how their characters say "this is the fandom". If you're choosing a character solely based off popularity to represnt the brony fandom, which is popular, I'll give you tht- but that's about it. Doesn't really say what the fandom is. Airheaded and emo? Or Endearing and willing to protect others?

Definitely Rainbow Dash. She's different to say that her attributes and character is so likable and relatable to so many people, Brony or not. She's cute, sweet, caring, tough, brash, and reckless. In just like real people in generalization, she has the most qualities as a cartoon character that appeals to a broad stage.

Derpy is the mascot in this fandom: She went from an animation mistake in the background to getting full-fledged fanwork. Bronydom was responsible for building her, and her fanonical characterization is far more complete and compatible for the Equestrian world than any other background character fanon.

 

The second option, conversely, is much tougher. Two candidates include:

1. Rainbow Dash. Whether you love her or hate her, she embodies the dispelling of the tomboy stereotypes. A character who's passionate about her goals and is willing to support her friends through thick and thin.
2. Rarity. This fandom is very passionate in their craft and their ability to address their adoration for the show. Many bronies are able to analyze the work, for better or worse, but they do it out of appreciation and care. Rarity is meticulous and pushes herself to much higher standards than others, because she loves her craft and respects it. Like Rainbow Dash, she, too, dispels feminine stereotypes.
