August stood by the grill. It was summer in this world, and he was preparing a fish that one of his recently met friends caught. His friend was also known as “Blackthorne” He was a pretty good guy, despite not talking too much, but that was one of his charms in August’s opinion. He looked around himself, to check that no one was looking, and quickly poured some vodka on the fish. He really liked the taste of that beverage on meals. With the fish now sizzling on the grill, August went back to the table were his three friends were sitting. He took out his cards “Does anyone want to join me in a card game? I have left the fish to grill, so we have some time to waste”

Neichā was busy looking at the sky. She didn't notice him talk until her head came straight towards him. "Card game? Ermm.. No thank you.." Neichā mumbled, rubbing her back quietly. Sure she was good at certain points but right now isn't the best time to play a card game. She sighed, looking into the distance. Birds were chirping, flowers were blooming and the sun was above the horizon. As she started to close her eyes, Neichā looked down at her katana. "...The good old days are real.." She whispered.

Yuna sat on the table, carving a piece of wood and whistling a happy melody. Her legs swinging back and forth. She heard the fish sizzling on the grill, it smelled delicious. When August suggested to play a card game Yuna jumped up 'Sounds great.' she said happily. But apearently Neicha wasn't really feeling it. 'Come on,' Yuna said to her 'It'll be fun, it's not like you're going to lose or something. We all know that that person will be me.' and then she smiled and pulled a silly face. Neicha had been quiet for quite a while and she looked like she was worrying or something. Yuna hoped that a card game would take her mind of it and cheer her up.

Neichā looked up at her Friend Yuna, a soft smile was across her face. "Fine.. Only for the first round.. Besides.. When it comes to card games.. No one can defeat me! Except that LV 30 player that I met earlier.." She said, properly facing her. Sure Neichā was worrying a bit too much but her worrying can mean somethings gonna happen.. Like what happened if the game started lagging out? Or if the weapons were uncontrollable? Neichā had no answers to those questions but she wanted to know ASAP. She sniffed the air a bit as a familiar smell of fish was already cheering her up a bit. "What's that amazing smell? Is that.. Fried fish? No.. Grilled fish? Yes.. Grilled fish.." Her stomach rumbled with excitement, feeling of getting fed again was being in a dream.

William sat at the table and looked at the world around him, he still hadn't been able to grasp how real all of this looked. There had even been some moments where he had forgotten that this was just a game. He quickly stopped daydreaming when he smelled the fish on the grill. It smelled liked somebody had poured vodka on it, thus ruining the taste. "I'll just have to find something else to eat". he thought as he began to look at his surroundings again. He than heard August suggesting that they'd play a game of cards. 

 

"Sure, why not." William replied.

August smiled "Great!" He started shuffling the cards, like he learned when he was a dealer at a casino "Oh, hang on, i need to check the time. Don't want to miss my job this evening." He stopped shuffling, and put the cards down on the table. He opened up the menu, and checked the time. "Oh my! Looks like it's already time for me to go, i'm sorry my friends." He was about to use the exit button, but found out that it didn't work....

Neichā looked at him with a confused look. "What's going on? What's wrong?" She asked, looking at the menu. She looked for the exit button but realised there was no exit button. Her eyes shrunk. She had a appointment with the president in 10 minutes and she is now stuck in the vital world. "W-WHAT!? There's no exit button!? Oh god oh god oh god.. He'll be so mad with me!" Neichā started freaking out, her body was shaking in complete fear. Sweat was balling off her forehead, her eyes were the size of peas and her hands were starting to collapse.

'Aaahw, you have to go allready?' Yuna said to august when he said he had to go 'Well, bye then.' But august didn't dissapear, he stayed where he was.'What's wrong?' Yuna asked worried when she opened her own menu. Then she found out that there was no exit button, almost at the same time as neicha. Neicha was freaking out and Yuna felt the same. 'This is not good.' she whispered 'Someone has to pick up robert, and cook for him. O gosh, he's not going to have dinner tonight! What if he tries to cook himself, he'll burn his little hands! And mom's going to be so angry at me, and dissapointed, she will think that I'm irresponisble because I forgot the time in a game!' and while saying all of this she was walking around the table. That's a thing Yuna always does when she is worried, she starts to ramble and walk around.

Then Yuna stopped and took a deep breath. 'Everyone, calm down.' she said 'Maybe it's just a glitch? I'm sure they are fixing it right now, we just have to wait a little bit.' Yuna was surprised about how convinsing that sounded, she almost beleved it herself.

William was about to ask August why he hadn't left yet when the two other people in the group started freaking out. One of them said something about there not being an exit button, but there was no way that could be true. This had to be some kind of prank. "Real funny guys. you almost got me." He muttered.

August looked at his right hand. It was shaking. He took his left hand, and brought it over to his right to stop the shaking. Keep calm August... Keep calm... You can't lose it when your crush needs you the most With a deep inhale, August approached Neicha. He took her in for a hug, and started whispering reassuring words to her. While doing that, he looked at William and gestured for him to do the same with Yuna

Immediately, Neicha stopped worrying and hugged him back gently. "Thank you.. I.. Appreciate it.." She mumbled gently. Neicha smiled at August who was hugging her. All of her problems.. Life mysteries.. Grieves.. Emotional breakdowns were all solved by this one hug that he was giving her. Neicha closed her eyes during the hug, feeling safe with him around with her. A soft mumble escaped her lips. "We're gonna die young.."

Yuna stood with her back to the others, a few steps away from the table. She felt terribly helpless. She had to be able to do something! Yuna decided to open the menu and go through every page there was to see if the log-out button maybe had moved. This kept her occupied for at least a little bit, even though she knew that she wasn't going to find it. Still, now she felt like she was doing something. She didn't even notice her cheeks getting wet by her tears anymore.

William just sighed and rolled his eyes, he was still convinced that this whole thing was nothing more than a prank. "Ha ha, very funny" he muttered sarcastically as he looked at his friends. "They are surprisingly good actors though, even if their pranks aren't that funny"  He thought.

August smiled "Die young? Hmm... I'm sure as hell not going to die young. I will beat the game and try to get out, or start a life here instead. I'm definetly not going to sit and drown in self pity" He looked over at William, and took off his glove. He then with a precision like no other threw it at his face "Check the menu yourself if you don't believe us. But i need to take the fish out of the grill" With these words, August left

By now, Neicha would of woken up like it was all a bad dream.. Nothing was real or that she didn't meet those friends that she teamed up with but.. She couldn't wake up.. Not in the real world where the people lived, birds actually chirped and animals that sound out all day long.. She turned her head towards Yuma, a soft expression appears on her face as she wanders over to her. "H-hey.. Are.. You okay?" Neicha asked, placing her hand on her mates shoulder.

yuna was so focust on searching through the menu that she didn't hear Neicha comming. When she suddenly started talking to Yuna she let out a surprised 'hu?' and then turned around. 'Ow, yea. I-I'm doing fine, as good as you would expect in this situation at least.' She said and realised that she had been crying. She wiped away her tears with the back of her hand and hoped that the boys hadn't seen it, especialy William.

Then she straightened her shoulders and said: 'I went through every page there was in the menu but the log out button isn't there anymore.' and then let out a little sigh. 'We just have to stay calm and don't panic.' she said but that was mainly to herself.

Although he didn't show it, William was very angry right now. Had Yuna not been present, he would have probably attacked August the second he threw that glove. But he didn't check the menu himself, mostly because he was still convinced that it was just a prank.

 

Instead he picked the glove up and threw it right in the back of August's head.

August could thanks to the fast reflexes a swashbuckler class provided, catch the glove before it hit his face. He smirked "So you accept my challenge? A 1v1, if i win then you'll check the menu, if you win... Then i'll do something of your chosing" Said August without facing him. This was an old tradition. If somone picked up a glove thrown by a challenger, then that signaled a "Challenge accepted"

He'd placed it somewhere around the table but now he couldn't find it. After looking for it for a of couple of seconds, he found it underneath the table. He picked it up and walked over to August. "Do you want to fight here or somewhere else?" He asked.

August put on his glove "We will fight in the PVP arena of course. I don't want the ladies watching" He typed in the command in the chat, and they where TP'ed to the destenation. August drew his sabers two sabers, and got into a heavily defensive position "Are you ready?"

I appreciate your kindness to me Yuma.." She said, sitting up slowly. True, how could she faint in a game world?! Is this Mario all over again.. No couldn't be. Neichā looked in her back to finally pull out something soft. Neichā smiled as she squeezed it. "Heh.. This helps me calm down whenever I'm in a dizzy or afraid mood.. Call me childish all you like but this thing is the only item I have that is calming my souls down.."
