"Nah, ah'm too tuckered out. Plus, ah ain't really in a beatin' mood now. Look, ah gotta get y'all back soon or else somepony is gonna get suspicious. We weren't exactly quiet either," said Redwood before she blindfolded Hooligan. She then began to lead him out the room and towards his cell.

Hooligan smiled, "I guess we were pretty loud weren't we," Hooligan said with a grin. He thought about this whole crazy situation. He never thought something so wonderful could happen to a guy like him. "Hey Red can we quickly swing by the infirmary before i go back. I think you broke my nose."

"Alright, fine," said Redwood as she took a turn and headed towards the infirmary.

 

When they were close, she took the blindfold off Hooligan and led him inside the infirmary.

 

"Hey, doc, Hooligan's got a broken nose," informed Redwood. "It ain't too bad, but ah figured ah might as well take him here."

The doctor sighed and said, 

"Fine, but I prefer that he get someone else to fix him. 

He turned to Hooligan and said as his horn glowed. 

"This will hurt a lot."

He quickly fixed Hooligan's nose and said as he started shooing them out of his office, 

"There now you two can go."

As Hooligan was shooed out he noticed a lone pregnancy test on a counter by the door. When he was sure the Doc couldn't see him he quickly grabbed it. When he was out of the infirmy and clear of sight he turned to Red, "here I snagged this for you," he said giving it to her, "in case you're curious."

Redwood looked at the pregnancy test for a second before taking it without a word, hiding it as she did so.

 

"Well, y'all best be gettin' back. Y'all already missed breakfast, and ah'm sure y'all don't wanna miss another meal."

 

It was smart of Hooligan to take the pregnancy test, although it did bring to light an alarming possibility.

"I have to agree with you there," Hooligan said to Redwood with a smile, "you would not believe how hungry that 'beating' made me." After a bit of working Hooligan thought that Red might be worried about the pregnancy thing. "Hey Red, I don't think you should sorry about the test," he said convertingly, "I'm sure it'll come up negative. I'm good but i'm not that good."

Then everything turned out just like Acrylic had thought it would. 'Well, I guess it's to be expected given the fact that I'm in prison. But at least no one has tried to kill me yet, I had enough of that in Manehatten to last a lifetime.' The guards then approached him. 'Well, let's see where they take me.'

She really didn't feel as assured as Hooligan. Having a child was one thing, but this was something entirely different.

Mercury strolled past guards as she walked toward her cell. She wasn't particularly hungry. Her eyes darted over each cell as she passed until she got to the depressingly empty one that was her own. She didn't slow down, walking past it to the cells that had yet to be filled. After two doors, she walked into a bare, empty cell. She picked up the ragged blanket on the cot with her teeth and slung it over her back. Three more blankets were collected in a similar fashion.

 

They hung from her back like short winter robes as she walked casually back to her cell. Folding the ragged pieces of cloth, Mercury stowed them under her original blanket. She left the cell block, humming to herself.

 

She wanted to talk to her fellow prisoners. After all, she had nothing better to do. Nothing at all.

Redwood simply gave Kurren$y an incredulous look. She had no idea why he was rapping, and she wasn't totally sure if it was directed at her and Hooligan. Then she remembered to straighten out her stride, as she was walking slightly off, and that would have only helped to confirm his suspicions.

Hooligan just ignored the garbage Kurren$y was saying as he and Redwood walked past him. Besides Hooligan was a lot more interested in hearing Red's story. He didn't even know she had a sister. "Yeah go ahead," said Hooligan happily, "call me corn cause I'm all ears."

"Ah, Kurren$y, I was coming to check on you."

His horned glowed and he fixed all of the leg, except for one part, but it wouldn't mess up the walking.

Y'see, th' Woods are army stock, and everypony, including mahself, served, but Cherry didn't. She actually ended up having a decently successful music career, and she made some good money and got some recognition. Now she was always livin' free and doin' whatever she damn well pleased because she had th' money to do so, but one day, we get a call and hear that Cherry's in th' hospital because she OD'd on cocaine. She almost died because she got stupid and didn't worry about nothin'."

Hooligan didn't know what to say. Usually when he heard somepony OD'd on drugs he just didn't care. But hearing it from Redwood's mouth made him feel terrible. "I'm sorry about your sister," he said sympathetically, "and I think I understand your point. I shouldn't just ignore the very real possibility that you could be with child," Hooligan made sure to whisper the last part.

"Yeah. When Cherry OD'd, that was a pretty hard lesson on learnin' to take responsibility and not just sayin' 'fuck it' when ya didn't wanna deal with life. Ah mean, she's fine now, but still, it was hard." Redwood then paused for a second and said, "Y'all didn't even know ah had a sister, let alone anythin' about mah family. Ah got more stories that don't involve OD'din' if y'all wanna hear 'em."

Hooligan cringed when he heard Kurren$y. He had never met anyone so fucking aggravating. And he couldn't even understand him half the time. As if on instinct Hooligan walked up to Kurren$y and punched him as hard as he could square in the nose, "English Motherfucker Do You Speak It?"

She especially didn't like it when her family was disrespected. Redwood could take an insult to herself, but her family as a different matter.

"Why don't you tell him stories in his cell.

 

Nightmare looked through the folders and found nothing on an abandoned cell underneath the prison. She placed the folders back in their place and walked out of the room
