Egotist sighed and looked at Aces.

 

"Yo what's up?" the Egotist cleared hroat. "I mean, (Venusaur) yes?"

"Upon further inspectin of dis here list, reminds me we gots dis kind-a stuff in a warehouse not too far from here." he explained.

Rain stood up and started stumbling outside, grabbing a handful of ice from an ice bucket as she left.

Clocks watched as Rain left, he attempted to say something but only slurred out unintelligible rambling with a few hiccups as she walked away.

"Hm? Really," the Egotist said, his interest once again sparked. "When's the soonest I could get what I need?"

"Ya jus needs to run down there and grab what-cha needs really, it will be sitting in da warehouse" He explained

Rain flew back towards the house. When she finally got it, weak from giggling, she dumped the ice on Shadow's face.

"Ice!" she said, almost child-like, and then she climbed on top of him and started arranging the ice around his face, looking deeply concentrated.

"There!" she said, finally, and then she lay her head down on his chest and fell asleep nearly instantly.

The Egotist pondered this for a moment.

 

"Well, I'll need some directions at least," he pulled out his sack of coins. "How much do I owe you?"

Shadow sighed, the ice had woken his up rather abruptly from being dumped on his face. The reality of what had obviously happened while Rain was gone started to sink in. He used his magic to pick the ice off from his face. He made a pack out of magic and set the ice it it, wrapped it up, then placed it on the cut of his head. He was rather disappointed in what had happened, but seeing she was already asleep, he cuddled up next to her and decided to try to get back asleep too.

 

Aces shrugged "You dont owe me nutin, be ya do owe Clocks somethin though. He normally doesn't ask for bits or anything, usually favors whenever he may need em"

Rain rolled and fell of the couch, waking up immediately.

"Ooooooowwwwwww," she moaned. Then she glanced at Shadow. "What did I do?"

[Chickey 383]

"From my guess, you went to the bar and got drunk, got some ice then, afterwards you came home, dumped it on my face, then fell asleep." he said.

[Mephala 2,633]

"Oh yeah." Rain rolled on her back and smiled at the ceiling. "That was awesome."

She then glanced at Shadow. "Uh, sorry about the ice..." she said, then winced and touched her head gingerly.

[Victoria and Co. 782]

"I'd don't know if I should be grateful or worried," the Egotist chuckled to himself. "Either way, I'll need directions to the warehouse."

[Chickey 383]

"Here," he said with a slight smile taking the pack off his head and giving it too her. "Seems your going to need it more than me" The cut on his head seemed to have fully healed.

 

"Oh yeah" he said taking a napkin and writing down the directions of the warehouse with a pen he held in his wing. "It's down by ponyville"

"Nah, I just drank a little too much. You know me," said Rain with a sigh. "Clocks was there too..."

Shadow created a temporary table and set the ice pack on it. "Yeah, that fits him, he usually like to hang out in those types of places" he said. He didn't like the fact Rain had lied to him just to go out drinking, but decided to not even bring it up.

"UGH!" the Egotist cried.

 

His facehoofed and shook his head.

 

"This will be my fifth trip between Cloudsdale and Ponyville today! Whatever, thank you Aces."

 

The Egotist levitated the napkin next to him and memorized the address.

 

"Well, I must be off. Take care."

 

With that the Egotist headed for the door.

Rain nodded then winced again. "Hey, I'm sorry..." she said, noticing his expression. "But over the past few months...well I've kind of gotten addicted."

[Chickey 383]

Aces nodded. "Mkay, see ya later den" he chuckled

 

Shadow's expression went down a bit more when Rain mentioned she was 'Addicted' to alcohol. "Uh....well, alright then" was all he said after a few seconds.

She rolled over and looked at him. "Pills, alcohol, and anything I can cut with. Tools of champions." She smiled sadly.

Shadow thought for a moment before turning to the side to look at Rain "....Rain, i really don't want to see you hurt yourself like that..." he said sadly

Rain shrugged. "It's a little late now, I suppose. I can't stop."

the last thing Rain said made his mood drop even more. "A-alright then.." he said after a few seconds. "I need to take a walk around town" he said getting up "I'll be back in a bout 15 minutes probably."

Rain nodded and sat up. "Okay. I think I'm gonna try to sleep." She lay down on the couch and bit her lip, looking troubled.

Shadow noticed her look, and hoped it was nothing. "Alright, i love you, see you in a bit" he said walking out and closing the door. He flew up to Cloudsdale and started to walk around.
