I am sincerely hoping they call it Borderlands 4 just to be dicks about it, but ultimately this is very happy news to me. I love these games and I hope they iron out the kinks from Borderlands 2 to make a truly fantastic sequel. Considering where 2 and the Pre-Sequel ended, there is room for a lot more story in the Borderlands universe, and with Anthony Burch gone, hopefully we'll get less complaining this time around. None the less, I'm sure a lot of us will miss Handsome Jack as a villain, but maybe they can create something truly remarkable again.

I never saw the original ones, but i saw the Telltale Version Tales from the Borderlands and i actually really like it.

Maybe im gonna play the original Borderlines at some point...if i get a Ps 3 that is.

Basically, a lot of the funds and resources meant for Aliens Colonial Marines went to Borderlands 2. Randy Pitchford went out to deny these claims but considering a lot of the bullshit he's said regarding the Aliens development that turned out to be a load of hogwash, as well as its post-launch fiasco, many people don't believe him

Well can anyone blame them in that regard? That game was doomed by shit everything. I don't think more funds could save it.

That doesn't really "confirm" that illegal fund siphoning happened though.

 

I mean if it did, it's a shame, but sadly in this day and age no one cares as much as they should. Sort of like how the Odd Gentlemen stole a HUGE chunk of money from the Kickstarter for the Homestuck game to make King's Quest. They flat out abandoned the Homestuck game then mid production to do King's Quest because they saw it as "more profitable". Which is pretty crap. When they were called out on it, it didn't affect King's Quest sales at all.

 

Sadly people don't care. :c

 

I mean at least in Gearbox's case if it WAS true, the money is being taken from Sega, a company that has not tried to take care of its fans for years versus stealing it from a Kickstarter.

I have been playing through the first Borderlands again recently and...wow, this game is a lot more flawed than I remember. I feel like Borderlands suffers from the exact same problems as Destiny and The Division, though the world is a bit more likable. I need to play through more of the second one to see if more of these issues are fixed but I hope that the 3rd one irons out some things.

I've only ever played Telltale's Tales from the Borderlands, and that was anazing.

 

I hope the creators follow up on their idea on including Gortys, that'd almost be a surefire way of getting me to buy the game. :3

The pre-sequel was made by 2K Australia, so that's probably why it was so meh.
