Starlight Glimmer and Flurry Heart In The Comics

I really love the mlp comics and how side chatacters get good development and how we get to see these ponies overcome their challenges and grow in so many ways the series hasn't been able to manage.

 

Anyway this led me to our newest characters Starlight and Flurry(new-ish in starlight's case). I've just been wondering how will the comics tackle these two in particular because on one hand we have a pony who lost a friend and became a leader of a colt, pretty much tried to destroy the name 6's bond thus destroying equestria and was forgiven quite quickly and easily and is now Twilight's student and on the other hand a baby.

 

I'm just so anxious to see Starlight's character improve especially if the series fails to develop her in a convincing way, like it doesn't have to be realistic but make it believable and for Flurry Heart I really hope they don't ruin her and because for most shows I've seen introducing baby characters ruins the entire thing so I'm hoping that won't happen to mlp.

 

As a side note I dont hate these two.

I imagine we'll see Starlight Glimmer in the comics eventually, possibly not until after Season 6 though, I think they might want to avoid stepping on the show's hooves by having her do something in the Comics that could contradict her development during this season of the show. The comics usually lag a bit behind anyway. I think the show itself can do Starlight justice, and I imagine the comics can too.

 

 As for Flurry...She's not really a main character. Introducing a baby character ruins a show when the baby becomes a big focus. Flurry Heart is probably going to only appear in a few episodes this season, and I imagine not that often in the comics either once she does. No real need to worry too much, even if you don't like the few episodes/issues she's in.

I'm still waiting on a Princess Cadance issue of Friends Forever. Flurry Heart might appear in such an issue, but she's not a mane character. Starlight is, and I'm sure we will see her in the comics in due time. She's already confirmed for one on G.M. Berrow's books, so an appearance in the comics is a no brainer.

Flurry and Starlight aside you're right Princess Cadence needs her own story in the comics. Actually why haven't they done a Shining armour and Cadence friends forever issue?

Probably because they already had a backstory arc in the mane comic, though that was back in the pre-Twilicorn days and predates FF, plus Shining has had two issues now in FF and Cadance has had none. She has made appearances in the mane comic and Fiendship is Magic, but I think she's long overdue for a FF comic. It could even be a cliched pairing like Shining and Cadance or even Twilight and Cadance. Heck, Spike and Pinkie are making their rounds with the princesses...that came out wrong... I could even see a Celestia and Cadance issue happening, or maybe even a Luna and Cadance issue (since those two barely interact despite being princesses. At this point though, any issue with Cadance as one of the mane characters would suffice. I'm not even the biggest Cadance fan, but that's still something I want to see, especially since even Maud is getting an issue now, not to mention Prince Blueblood has started alongside Shining and he's mostly forgotten.

Really? Was that just announced? I admit I'm not quite up to date on comic announcements, but the list on the wiki has proven somewhat helpful in knowing what's coming up. That's good to know. Now we can go back to discussing Starlight and Flurry Heart.

Considering IDW having of experimenting in FF issues, it's obvious we'll see them being featured sooner or later

I hope theres a Starlight/Spike FF issue or heck Starlight/Trixie in the near future.

As far as Flurry Heart goes maybe a Pinkie/FH FF one kinda similar to Baby Cakes.

 

We'll have ta wait & see.
