planning i am looking for help in planning a futuristic scifi role play

As the title says i currently need help planning a futuristic scifi RP. I currently have three things for it but it just the name of the main antagonist, a time frame and it has a lot of robots.

 

What i need help with is some ideas for a setting and the goal for the characters.

The setting can be in a metropolis. You know the ones. And as for the goal, I guess the characters were, unknowingly, apart of a team that built almost all modern robots that the world sees. But, the person who over-watched them all had a special code leaked into them that will now cause them to go on a killing rampage and destroy the very foundation of the world. As for the ones who built them, they went into hiding for fear that the world hated them. They disappeared for quite a while. Only for them to reemerge from wherever they were hiding with upgrades to their bodies to confront in combat the vast robot army.

That is a good idea but instead of the group being the creators how about the creator has contacted the heroes of the story to help him figure out how his machines fell out of control.

Well a good question to establish things is, how far do you want this to be into the future?

I don't know a story, but I can make some pretty cool drones and bots if you want a large amount of variation in them. Most for combat. Since I love robots.

Well a good question to establish things is, how far do you want this to be into the future?

 

about 2 hundred years into the future.

 

I don't know a story, but I can make some pretty cool drones and bots if you want a large amount of variation in them. Most for combat. Since I love robots.
