movies/tv Theoretical Disney crossover movie: What would it be like?

No Disney has not announced anything like this I'm just asking a theoretical question.

I love Disney, the man himself is my hero and the films have never failed to tug at my heartstrings. Now there have been times when multiple characters from different Disney properties have interacted with each other but House of Mouse never quite carried the gravitas that having all of them together in the same place should.

Marvel's Avengers and everything leading up to it though was a watergate moment that changed movies forever. It showed that things like inter-film continuity between otherwise separate franchises was possible.

Now, I'm not suggesting that Aladdin and Tarzan or something should team up, badass as that would be, but do you think it's at all possible that maybe Disney could launch a new series of films with the intent of bridging them all together in one film? Or could they bridge some of their old or established franchises in a similar manner? Why or why not?

So something like Kingdom Hearts or Disney Infinity?

Disney has had multiple crossovers, mostly with their shows. There was the time Hercules and Aladdin duked it out and teamed up, there was the time Lilo and Stitch met Kim Possible, The Proud Family, the kids from Recess, and American Dragon Jake Long. Heck, they even did multiple 3-way crossovers with their teen sitcoms.

Though I wouldn't be against the idea of a big crossover film, provided that it's done well.

No not something like KH or Infinity. KH isn't really about the Disney characters they are just set pieces and side characters, it's about Sora and co. The Disney enjoyment comes from Sora as the player surrogate gets to pall around with a whole bunch of them, not that we get to see them pal around with one another. The villains are the only Disney characters that have any interaction with one another and those are some of the best of the games moments. Infinity no because that falls into the House of Mouse example of more or less just throwing them into a co-existing space with no real "weight" to them all coming together.

I did forget about their TV crossovers they did do a lot of those. Just wasn't as dialed in to those shows aside from American Dragon, and I certainly wasn't as dialed into the sitcom scene. That Aladdin meets Hercules thing was exactly what I was talking about though. THAT felt significant, especially since Aladdin was a seasoned hero and this was still when Herc was getting used to the whole thing so it was interesting to see them bounce off each other.

How about a crossover between Tangled and Big Hero Six. The film could be about Hiro and his friends end up investigating some sort of dimensional rift thinking that it might be connected to the experiments found in the first movie. It would turn out that the rift would be connected to the Tangled Universe and that there would be some sort of Prince and the Pauper storyline where Honey Lemon and Repunzel end up taking the others spot in their respective dimensions after feeling overworked as either a princess or not feeling valued enough as a member of the team. Outside of the controversy regarding Honey Lemon's design being way too similar to Repunzel this movie could also have some other pretty meta moments in it, such as joking about how the other 4 members of the team didn't get nearly as much screentime or character development as Hiro and Baymax and ultimately get overshadowed.

Besides that, something I would really love to see would be a film adaptation of Epic Mickey.
With how the storyline plays out through the games, and the interesting depiction between Mickey and Oswald I feel like it could make for a really great animated film.
(Also if it were to happen, I would prefer it to be 2D animated.)
There could be all sorts of easter eggs and cameos of past Disney characters hidden in the background, that could make even a Pixar movie with their cameos blush.
Plus it would be a great chance for the company to actually do something with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit for once, seeing how after the second game he hasn't been involved in anything really.

Despite how big of an accomplishment it was of him being brought back to the company.
