Why does everyone insist the series must end now?

I hope that show will be going forever. Really, mature cmc or maybe children of m6 or new characters. Why not? Mlp has a great lore and there are so many unrealized ideas. Gosh, I would really want to see adventures of princesses founding Equestria.  Meanwhile, the story of m6 is probably going down. But I think the show has a good amount of durability.

There's some evidence and speculation to support the series ending soon, and some people mistake this possibility for absolute fact. Others think the movie would be a good ending point, or simply want it to end before it goes downhill. Personally, I think the show still has enough life in it for a few more seasons. Season 4/5 and so far 6 have mostly been a high point for me, and I think it could still go on.

 

 That said, I do find it a bit annoying how insistent some people are about the show possibly going downhill. Yes, it's possible if the show were to continue on it would start to decay, but some people seem to think that's literally the only way it could go, and I find that a little frustrating. I understand that's a common trend, and one that people don't want to happen to this show, I don't want it to either, but it's not some Set in stone fact that any long running show will turn to garbage. I almost want the show to keep going and get better, specifically just to prove this wrong, because I'm sick of it being treated like a "Fact".

 

 That said, even if FIM ends, that doesn't mean the end of Generation 4. There's still Equestria Girls, whatever Guardians of Harmony is, the IDW comics, and possibly other things to keep this generation alive. There's plenty to explore in this universe, and the end of FIM doesn't mean "NO MORE GEN 4 EVER!". Nor does it mean the beginning of Gen 5. Personally, I'm excited to see what the future brings, though the eventual end of FIM will be sad, I hope it's world and characters continue on in some way.

At least that's a thing goin' for FIM, lots of shit to take ideas from  . Though, I think the children of harmony will cause an uproar in the fandom  , specially if Twi marries Flashy

Yeah, it bugs me that FiM's end= G5  . We can still go to G4.5 or something, make a spin off, or just stick to EG for a while

i kinda agree with them. it seems to me they've overtaught life lessons and i feel like the show has lost some of its magic

I don't want the show to end yet! I'm not yet satisfied! Once I'm satisfied, then they have my green light.
